We relocated from California over 30 years ago, and love New York, especially the Upper West Side. The park is our backyard. We picnic, run, bike, play tennis, attend free concerts, and shows. Winters in our 'backyard' often allows us to sled, ski, and skate. We love dining, and are so fortunate to have every type of cuisine and ethnicity within walking distance from our home. Travels away from home take to exotic locations to explore, and play. Scuba diving is one of many passions, as well as skiing, and Yankees Baseball.

Perfect location, wonderful hosts.
Perfect location, wonderful hosts. Everything I needed to explore New York from my favorite neighborhood.
Clean, compact, and comfortable, with an unbeatable location: a very positive experience.
In the general context of saying that this is an excellent apartment, I would like to make two negative comments. First: since the Murphy bed, when folded down, leaves a wide gap between the mattress and the wall, one needs something, like a big cushion, to fill it; without that, one can't sit up in bed to drink coffee, read, or watch TV. Second: the lamps over the bed are just little twinkling fairy lights----not strong enough to read by. These two things together mean that as soon as one wakes up one has to get out of bed.
Location, location, location!
Great cozy studio, perfect for two, half block from Central Park, half block from Columbus Avenue. Close to subway and bus. Easy walk to Lincoln Center.
Lots of linen, umbrellas, stocked fridge, tourist information, and extras. Steve and Linda were wonderful and helpful.
Perfect in every way.
This was our second - but definitely not our last - stay in this ideally located studio apartment. The Upper West Side neighborhood has so much to offer - restaurants, full-service grocery stores, small bodegas - not to mention the museums, subway options, Riverside and Central parks. Linda provides guests with all the basics to get you started -coffee, tea, milk, wine, cookies and more. We prepared our Thanksgiving dinner easily in the well-appointed kitchen. We added a menu to her book of restaurants and local shops and highly recommend Francesca's La Vela Cucina Italiana on Amsterdam, between 77-78th. Great food and superb hosts - just like Linda and Steve. We'll be back to visit them all!
Linda has thought of everything to make her guests comfortable. She even loaned us knee and ice wraps -- and a neighbor's cane - when my husband arrived limping after injuring his knee during our journey from DC. The studio is very comfortably furnished and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Our welcome included a bottle of Prosseco, snacks and birthday desserts from the fabulous neighborhood deli. Central Park is half a block away from this little gem. Fabulous location and neighborhood. We'll be back! Thanks, Linda!
Great location close to restaurants and Central Park. Subway two blocks away.
My wife and I had a marvelous visit to NYC for a few days. The one room apartment was a perfect size for us. Having a fully stocked kitchen was nice, although we did not cook meals, it was pleasant to be able to have a cup of tea and warm up take out food from local restaurants. The apartment has it’s own wi-fi device so connecting to the internet was excellent. The neighborhood was quiet and the Murphy bed comfortable so we slept well. Linda has provided lots of brochures and information of things to do around the city. The subway is only two blocks away making it easy to get around. We will definitely try to stay here when we visit again.
Step into Central Park for a picnic or sledding. Take a run around the famous Jackie Onassis Reservoir or Rent bikes and spin around the Park Drive. Walk to famous museums in 15 minutes.
