Rustic Home by the Lake

This is the custom built log cabin in the northwoods right on the lake that you have dreamt about. This beautifully crafted 1800 square foot log home has a loft bedroom with a queen bed on the upper level, 2 bedrooms with queen beds on the main level, and 2 single beds and a futon in the basement. There are also 2 full bathrooms.

The main level has a full kitchen for all your meal prep needs, dining area, stone fireplace, and family area to go along with the 2 bedrooms.

The basement has 2 single beds, a futon, and a big-screen TV with DVD player for relaxing after a fun day on the water.

Outside there is a big yard for relaxing, a game of bocce ball, throwing bags, or simply enjoying time with family and friends. There is also a large fire pit right next to the lake for sharing the day's stories under the stars.

There is also a 20 foot, 2021 Bennington pontoon boat that can be rented for $100 per day (2 day minimum), plus $500 damage deposit.

The house is just a 5-minute drive from Cumberland and all it has to offer.

Summer vacay

Enjoyed the cabin and lake. Fishing was great, kids enjoyed the swimming. Cabin was exactly as advertised, clean and plenty of room. Host was responsive and no issues. Would definitely stay again!

Little Sand Lake Vacation

The listing description is very accurate. Very secluded and relaxing area. Tons of wildlife, at night there are many different sounds from the adjacent wildlife. Owner is very responsive. We enjoyed the property and lake on our stay. Warm water and great fishing!

A little piece of paradise in the Northwoods

The Rustic Home by the Lake is just what we were looking for this summer. The cabin was just as described and had everything you could need to make your stay perfect. Jason was super easy to work with and answered our questions in a very timely matter. We rented his pontoon boat for the week. It was perfect for fishing, going for rides around the lake, etc. The lake itself is so peaceful- great for kayaking and wildlife watching. Would highly recommend!

Up North Getaway

This is our 2nd year staying here, and like last year, it was Great! The cabin was clean, equipped with everything you need to be comfortable. The beds are very comfortable to sleep on. The lake is great to fish on, or to just cruise around with the pontoon. This place is very relaxing. The owners are easy to get ahold of, and very responsive. Will be coming back next year. Thanks for a great place!!

My family and i had a very nice time. We had everything we needed. We had only complaint a out fire pit. Kids wanted to make smors so they did but came right in. Too hot. Being on water was fun and so was catching fish. We recommend this cabin.

Very nice.

Secluded/private/quiet. Small lake but great for tow sports and jet-skiing. No depth issues. Little boat traffic. Being small means the water rarely can get very rough and warms nicely. Nice 3-level air-conditioned cabin. Plenty of room in the yard for games. Owners communicate well and are very accommodating. Would definitely come again.

Gorgeous, peaceful property on a quiet lake!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the cabin. It's beautiful, clean, super comfortable, and right at the end of the road with no traffic so it's incredibly peaceful. The lake is small so there's not much boat traffic either, and our teen boys had a blast kayaking around. Water is clear and warm! The beds are cozy and there's lots of sleeping space. Our kids loved having the basement area to themselves. The kitchen is well stocked for any cooking you might need to do, although we grilled most of our meals. Great big firepit and large yard that our dog loved. All in all the perfect cabin getaway with wonderful hosts. Thanks for sharing your place, we hope to be back!

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

We had a such an amazing time. The property is gorgeous, clean and so comfy. The owners really made sure there’s everything we needed. From kayaks, paddle board, a boat (we didn’t use it this time), a fire pit, movies for a chilly night etc. Kitchen is fully stacked. We just brought our food with us. Don’t remember last time I slept so well. Our dogs had an amazing time too. They couldn’t get enough of all the nature. We loved every minute spent in that place and strongly recommend it for anyone who’s looking for a superb and peaceful vacation spot.

Family vacation

The cabin is immaculate and beautiful just like the pictures show. It is very private and peaceful. The layout was perfect for our three families to share this whole cabin. The owners are on top of the communication and the process for opening the cabin. The dock was just a short path away and the fishing and swimming was great by the dock. It was easy to launch kayaks from also. The fire pit is awesome to sit around and talk n have smors. All in all this was a great choice of cabins to stay at and we enjoyed everything about it. It had everything you need and more. Would definitely book this cabin for another awesome vacation. Thankyou very much Jason and Jenn❗👍

A Beautiful Log Cabin, what a wonderful getaway. 5 stars

Where to begin, there was great communication with the owners. The road to the cabin was private and well paved. We towed our own boat to the cabin. I loved the turnaround in front of the cabin. It made it that much easier with the boat. There was plenty of parking. The check in process was very simple. As we entered the cabin, we found a very nice warming package from the owners. Loved it! thanks. The cabin has the log and up north feeling. We loved the two bathrooms. It was clean and cool throughout the cabin. We loved games, movies, Wifi, netflix, disney plus applications that the owners kept logged onto for us to enjoy. We had our own logon info but seeing that they trusted the guests enough to keep their accounts logged on us to enjoy was a plus in my book. We enjoyed the big flat back yard and loved the fireplace with the provided wood. We enjoyed the lake the cabin sits on as well as the lake across the street Sand Lake. We caught and released fish on both lakes. Overall, this was great experience. We rent multiple cabins every year, and never the same one twice. My wife said this one is one of her favorites. Perfect Getaway Cabin

This is a beautiful cabin in a nice quiet location on a nice small lake. We were welcomed with a nice note and basket of goodies to celebrate our anniversary. Kitchen is well stocked with quality appliances, utensils, cookware, etc. The bed was very comfy especially after fishing all day or exploring the nearby state parks. Glad we decided to rent the pontoon since the fish were biting like crazy! We had a blast catching panfish and bass. Jason made the rental process easy too. He answered all question or concerns in a timely manner. He also checked in to see if we had any questions about checking out. Thank you Jason and Jenn for sharing your cabin.

What a beautiful, quiet get a away!

The place was beautiful! Very clean! Kitchen was very well stocked and equipped with necessary utensils to make our own food. Wildlife every where, quiet secluded location. Check in and out instructions were very clear and well communicated by the owner. Would stay again in a heartbeat! Very nice! 💜

Peaceful lake retreat.

The property is wonderful. Private & tastefully done. It was the retreat we were all craving. Honestly, the house photos do not show how nice this lodging actually is. My 6 year old grandson loved the basement media area and we all could not get enough of the firepit at night and the kayaks during the day. The house is stocked with anything you might need! The lake is small.....the perfect size, and the view is fulfilling for both sunsets and sunrises! A lovely pontoon is available to rent and I believe we will take advantage of that next time! Because I had not previously read all the check in house info, Jason was kind enough to answer my questions. Communication was great. Grandma Arlene and Grandpa Tony

Great Week in the North Woods

The property was just as we had hoped and as advertised. The property was at the end of the drive and extremely quiet. We had the lake mostly to ourselves the whole time and were able to tube behind the pontoon during the day and fish in the evenings whenever we wanted. Plenty of chairs around the firepit for a campfire breakfast and s'mores at night. Inside, the house was clean, the kitchen utensils plentiful and there was nothing that we needed that was not there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the welcome wine! Looking forward to another time.
