If you are wanting a low key experience where beach walks with the dogs is the goal, then this is the place. Comfortable property, friendly neighborhood, quiet. If red deer, fox, hawks, turkey vultures are you thing…good place. Mendocino Botanical Gardens in Ft. Bragg, town of Mendocino, Pt. Arena lighthouse are all worth a venture. Enjoy and thanks Jackie.
We really enjoyed our stay. Hosts are great and extremely helpful. The best part of the house are the big windows and epic views. Also the access to the beach is amazing although the private road down to the beach is very very steep so may only be appropriate for awd vehicles and it’s very steep for walking. The house is a bit dated and could use an update but it’s rustic and worked fine for us.

Hi Noah,
Thank you for visiting. We recommend that most people drive to the beach (we have a car) but once you get there, it’s amazing! We are glad that you enjoyed your time at our place and hope to see you soon.
Sincerely,
Jackie
This house was wonderful. Much larger than we expected from the pictures and the pictures do not do the ocean view justice at all. From the living room and deck off the kitchen you have a full 180 degree view of the ocean. Truly stunning. The beach to which the host provides gate access was fantastic with some very neat driftwood structures.
This home was in a very quiet neighborhood in Manchester, CA with easy access to a private beach. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and watching the wildlife as well as the view. I wouldn’t call this a luxury home but it was clean and lovely and met our needs. It states it sleeps 5 but the futon and sofa are maybe not the most comfortable for adults. The home has white tile and white carpet throughout, so very light and airy! The only kitchen appliances we would have loved to have there were a full size coffee pot and a blender. The owner and the property manager were very welcoming and helpful. All in all we enjoyed our stay!
We enjoyed the location, so close to so many beaches and hiking areas. The house layout was amazing with such beautiful views . Wildlife was everywhere!! Deer, Quail families, and birds that continually serenading us from the great trees surrounding the house. we enjoyed walking around the little lake up the street. The only negatives were the blinds and the burners on the stove. We ended up using 1 out of 4or 5 because it was the only one that worked well. The front deck was amazing to sit and relax and watch the sunset. I would definitely recommend choosing this as a home base for exploring the area!! Thank you for sharing your home with us. Sincerely Sharon Randy and Roxi
Wonderful stay at a pet-friendly, clean, modern home with access to a private beach area. Really enjoyed our 4 relaxing nights and was very impressed by the communication from the host who made the entire process stress free.Highly recommend and hope to make it back ourselves someday!

Nicely designed and furnished; well-separated from other nearby homes. Nice view to the ocean. The private beach is one of the best on the coast.
Our only problem was due to our arrival after dark. The street-side house number sign is not readable when approaching the house due to its orientation. The number is also posted on the house itself, but the numbers are rather small and non-reflective. Cell service in the area is weak like most parts of the north coast (once settled in, the WiFi assist for the phone was excellent.) Unfortunately, our phone's GPS could not keep up with our location, making for some confusion when trying to zero in on the house in the dark.
