Guestbook comments from the owner

Today is Ed's birthday and we could not have found a better place to spend it than right here at "Serenity on Cedar".

I had either forgotten or possibly never heard what it is like to experience stillness, calmness, quiet time like we have here. "Serenity" is a perfect way to describe the feeling that we experienced.

I loved waking up and seeing the fog over the mountains cross the lake. We watched the wind blow across the water and enjoyed the sounds of the water running down the creekbed beside of the cabin.

For several years I have wanted to spend a weekend away in a log cabin in the mountains, but the opportunity never presented itself until now. This has been a wonderful place and time beyond what I had imagined. Normally when we travel, we drive around and check out all the local sites. Staying here at Serenity on Cedar leaves me with no desire to look any place further. There just cannot possibly be anything better or more to see than is right here.

We thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us.

serenity on cedar

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was more than we expected. The different levels made it very private for the family to be together.

Everything was provided for cooking and they had a lot of board games for enjoyment.

The cabin was very clean and lake was beautiful.

I will go back and try it out in the summer months as well!

Serenity At It's Best

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Serenity on Cedar. It was tranquility at its best. The house was very clean and accommodating for our family of four, and the kids loved each having their own floor to call their own. The kayaks that are provided by the owners provided for a nice, quiet time out on the water and the docks provided for some decent fishing. The path to the lake, while steep, was not overwhelming. Coffee on the upper deck in the morning was a great way to start the day. I highly recommend Serenity on Cedar for a great get-away.

We loved our stay at Serenity. The house was very comfortable for us all, lovely wide deck for eating out. Taking the kayaks to explore the lake was a real treat and the boys loved swimming off the dock.

Lovely home!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here. The home was perfect for our family with 10 people. The kids enjoyed the loft with the twin beds and having two living areas was really great. I'd say we all enjoyed the covered porch during the many rains of the week. We couldn't ask for better views of the peaceful lake and the trees. All the kids and most of the grown ups loved being able to kayak, canoe, and fish whenever they wanted. As the description states, the walk to the lake is pretty steep with quite a few stairs. That didn't stop most of us from going down there at least once or twice a day.

This home was just what our family needed to recoup and enjoy some time together. Thank you!
