Welcome to our luxurious lakefront log cabin nestled in the breathtaking mountains of North Carolina. This exquisite retreat blends rustic charm with modern elegance, offering the perfect getaway for families, couples, groups or wedding parties looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. This cabin comfortably sleeps up to 11 guests, with 5 beautifully appointed bedrooms & 3 full bathrooms. Each room is designed for relaxation and tranquility, ensuring a restful night's sleep.

Step outside to one of two private decks, where you can soak in the sun, fire up the grill, fire table or downstairs relax in the hot tub, rock in rockers or stretch out in the hammock. Or simply enjoy the serene lakefront ambiance. The property includes a dock for kayaking, fishing, or swimming in the serene waters of Cedar Cliff Lake. For your paddling enjoyment, there are 6 recreational kayaks, 2 canoes, a rowboat & peddle boat. With our 4 slip boat dock, feel free to bring your own boat. Just dock and use during your stay. Also we have lifejackets of many sizes, paddles and oars. A fenced playground with swings is a popular feature as well.

Our group of 11 had a great time here! The view is awesome, and we had fun on the lake with all the boats. Our only complaint was the incredibly slow WiFi, but that helped us stay off our phones and enjoy where we were.

The week of July is a busy time for internet use and probably explains the slow speed, but we will be changing over to Starlink on August 11 which will accommodate those of us who must travel with our computers even on vacation. Beautiful house! Our family had the best time! Swimming, kayaking, using the paddle boat to get around the lake. Cute town, Sylva, 20 minutes away. Breweries, book store, coffee shops. The house was perfect for our big family.We really enjoyed western North Carolina !

This is a gorgeous and rare find that I’ve enjoyed several times in the last 10 years. Staying at Carol & Ed’s place, I’ve always experienced a sense of calm and retreat. From the hot tub and hammock to the access of the boats on the water, it’s an easy place to relax and find solace. I just love the sense of very little development on Cedar Cliff Lake where you’re met with such beautiful nature and can find some true quiet. The cabin is a quick drive to WCU’s campus.For when you’re ready to venture out, especially for anyone staying in the area for the first time, a must visit is downtown Sylva. Checking out Innovation Brewing and ordering from their partnering food truck, Cosmic Carryout is an INCREDIBLE choice.

Great place for families! It’s a beautiful cabin and property with lovely views of the lake and mountains. There are a couple good restaurants in Cashiers and then many options in neighboring towns for restaurants and cute shoppes. We rented a UTV, fishing, hiking, went fly fishing with a guide, went rafting, and to the movies-all no more than 1 hour away.

We spent a week with our “adult” children ranging from 17-29. We had a fabulous time! The house is in a secluded location with a steep steep road and driveway, which also led to its charm. The house is well appointed with anything you could think of needing! Including the most perfect reading and napping spot on the lower deck with the hammock! This was a coveted spot! There is a resident eagle we saw fishing and a family of otters right next door to the dock. We would love to come back and spend another week of disconnecting from the world and connecting with each other! The owners called and checked on us and made for a seamless entrance and exit!

The cabin was absolutely amazing with fantastic views of the lake and mountains. A total of 9 people with 4 people on the first floor and 5 people on the second floor ( main floor). The kitchen on the main floor was small but that wasn’t a problem because I do all the cooking. I love to cook and the kitchen was very well appointed. There is another full kitchen downstairs but besides the microwave I don’t think it was used. The gas fire places were definitely a plus as we are from south Florida and we got cold. We loved the outdoor fire pit and the grill as well. Our host Carol was amazing! She called shortly after our arrival on the house phone. FYI… you may not get cellular phone reception. We had to call her once since our power went out due to a thunder storm but it was quickly restored. We loved the kayaks and canoes and explored waterfalls in the lake. The hot tub was great.

Great weekend away

Perfect property for a weekend getaway. The road to get there is a little sketchy, but no problem for 4-wheel drive vehicles. Beautiful view, well-stocked kitchens, and clean bedrooms/bathrooms. Would definitely stay here again.
