Check-in was flawless, the kitchen was immaculate, the bathrooms were spotless, and the living room was very comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better space. The porch and outdoor seating was exactly what we needed. The location was ideal for access to all the popular spots in that part of the state. Even the parking was perfect - right at the front door. As a bonus, the Wi-Fi was strong and easy to access.
Our trip was for a visit reconnecting with family for a long weekend and this 3-bedroom house provided a perfect location setting for our little reunion. The house is a newer construction and was immaculate - hopefully future guests continue to keep it that way. It provided a perfect layout for my mobility challenged mother - only one step up to the porch and rest was all one floor, plenty of open space and wide door openings for her walker. The house was tastefully decorated with plenty of sitting area space and we loved making use of the gas fireplace in the evening. Ceiling fans and TV's w/Roku's in every bedroom and in the master there was even a ductless split AC so we could keep our room as cool as "I" needed. The location was on a fairly busy main road but was set back enough that you didn't even notice. It had plenty of yard space for kids or a dog to safely run around - the surrounded set back woods provided privacy and a picturesque Maine look from the beautiful deck. It was a quick straight shot into the town of Ellsworth and just keep going into beautiful Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park. l feel you are mostly renting VRBO homes on trust & faith of accurate information so I personally find it important the responsiveness of the owner - this owner did not disappoint and answered all of our questions before and during our stay. I look forward to staying at this house in future. My on regret is I didn't get to see a moose wander out of the woods - lol!

About the host
Hosted by Daryl D Carter
I've lived in Maine my entire life so I know what the coast has to offer. I'm a carpenter by trade but in recent years decided to move into the real estate space and building or buying short term rentals for people to come here and enjoy what Maine has to offer, just made sense. When someone leaves a great review in our guest book I get a sense of accomplishment a lot like when I build someone's dream home.

We picked this particular property because it's just outside of downtown where we thought it would be more welcoming for families. The big yard is great for a large group or family and It's only 5 minutes from town making it a perfect location.
