Buckhorn Cove Ocean Front with Private Peninsula

This once-in-a-lifetime retreat offers unsurpassed views of the spectacular Mendocino coastline and iconic Buck Horn Cove. With over three acres, this property features a private peninsula where you can truly experience the power and beauty of the mighty Pacific. The main house includes three bedrooms, two downstairs, and a large primary suite on the second level with a private bath and balcony. There is also a private guest cottage that includes a freestanding gas fireplace and a private bath. The large deck has a sunken hot tub situated in the perfect location to relax and be mesmerized by the everchanging views. Because of the cliff-front location, there is a minimum age of 10 years and over required for any guests. Please note that the staircase at the top of the bluff is restricted, and no access is allowed.

Both indoor and outdoor seating for 8, it worked well for our 4 couples vacationing together. Mendocino Preferred Vacation Rentals were professional and responsive. The property is only 1 mile from Little River Inn Golf Course and 4 miles from Mendocino.

Overall, we enjoyed Mendocino very much but the wind was a little tough. We were unable to sit on the deck as much as we would have liked. Also, our internet went out and the management was unable to fix the problem. They tried but it was still unfortunate. We think they should have contacted the provider. Still, we would recommend this property to anyone visiting Mendocino. Best view anywhere! We loved the Good Life Bakery and Cafe and also Luna Trattoria. Highly recommend. The cliff walk in Mendocino was breathtaking and we enjoyed Montgomery woods and the Skunk Train.

Amazing spot!

Visited for my birthday and could not be happier with my visit. Even with the winter weather i was able to enjoy the views from the family room and the peninsula, in fact the weather made it even more dramatic! Cozy, warm, comfortable and still able to enjoy the ocean!

This was our first stay on the CA coast and Buckhorn Cove did nothing but amaze us! There are no pictures that will do the view justice!!! Don’t second guess booking! Just do it! Mendocino is such a great town and everyone was so kind!!! We will be back!

Stunning Mendocino Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: So Lucky to have stayed here for four days with a group of dear friends. The views from the house of the cliffs, ocean and sunsets are not to be surpassed. It has the most well equipped kitchen of any rental I have spent time in and its now my go to place for an accommodation in coastal northern California - its just ten minutes to downtown Mendocino and a short drive to Jug Handle and Van Dam state parks. We didn't use the hot tub, but will certainly avail ourselves to it on our next visit.
