Sunny Downtown Condo above the Coffee Shop

This gorgeously restored historic condo feels spacious and sunny with it's high ceilings and large windows. Located at the only stoplight in downtown Salida, you can overlook the goings-on of downtown from the huge windows that grace our condo's kitchen and living space. The condo is above a coffee shop, with other shops, restaurants and galleries just steps away. Hiking and biking trails and river walk are 1 block away. Monarch Ski Area is just 20 miles away from us.

Our cleaning standards have always been very high (as you can tell by our reviews), but with the advent of the COVID 19 threat, we've doubled-down our already high disinfecting standards to ensure the safety of our employees, guests, and our entire community.
We've also upgraded our wifi so guests can set up shop to work or homeschool from your Salida "home away from home.”
- Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM, per Salida city ordinance. Thanks in advance for observing this rule.
~ If you smoke anything, please do it outdoors only and leave no trace. Any evidence of smoking inside OR OUTSIDE the home will result in extra cleaning fees that will be passed on to the offending guest. Thanks in advance for leaving no trace!
~ Please be sure we have your accurate guest count in advance of your stay; we do charge slightly more for bigger groups so we can make our home affordable for different group sizes, and so our housekeeper is compensated for her work. Thanks!

The apartment is clean, nicely furnished, quaint and cozy. The location os fantastic for experiencing the downtown, walking distance to everything within minutes. I was initally concerned about the lack of onsite parking, but overnight parking was not too hard to find down by the river park (we stayed thurs-sunday and parking was available all days). Additionally, from a short term rental perspective, the house "rules" were all commonsense and easy to follow, there wasnt an endless list of things to take care of before checking out.

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment right downtown. Easy parking, and we walked everywhere we wanted to go while in Salida. Kitchen was well supplied, we did a combo of eating in and out. Nice views from the living area. The apartment has plenty of room to relax.

Second Time Staying Here - Still Great!

We stayed at this property 2 or 3 years ago and just loved it. We reminisce about our time there so often, we thought it was time to visit again :) It's amazing being able to walk to all the best things in Salida, and have a great view of downtown and the mountains. We also love cooking while traveling, and the kitchen is so well outfitted! We had everything we needed. A great spot!

This property is located within walking distance of fantastic dining, coffee shops, shopping, art galleries, and the grocery store. Nicely remodeled - the kitchen has all the utensils you need to prepare a meal, wonderful bathroom, and the bed is comfortable. Will definitely rebook this property!

Perfect stay in a great location

We've stayed at several VRBO properties in the past, but never at an urban location before now, and I have to say, we're fans! The location was perfect for quickly getting around town, walking from the condo directly to Tenderfoot ("S") Mountain, and made it a perfect base camp for our week in Salida. Thanks again to the property owner and manager! I would not be surprised if we book this property again in the future.
