About the property

Estate, 3 Bedrooms + Attached Unit, 4 Baths

Experience a difference. A vacation like you've never experienced before. Prepare to be relaxed, rejuvenated, and throw in some adventure if your heart so desires...

As the sun rises in the east the soft clouds, like the cotton candy of endless childhood summers, illuminate with a thousand different pinks, purples and blues. With the smell of fresh brewing coffee you pull your robe tight and step out of the glass doors on to the observation deck and feel the southerly breeze and the warmth of the sun on your face.

Ahead of you you have a calm day of bird watching–literally on your doorstep. Or maybe you'll feel more active and decide to take the snorkel gear into the coral reef just a couple of easy miles offshore. You could even go kayaking in the Gulf or search for the catch of the day, for dinner, right from your backyard. Today is about choice, doing exactly as you please.

And once the day is done you can come back to the comfort of your home and relax to your favorite music–or even a movie– in the hot tub. A perfect end to a perfect day.

What can you do tomorrow? The options are endless but the result is always going to be the same; perfect relaxing days.

Loved the Trip to Big Pine Keys

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed the trip to Big Pine Keys, We had good weather the whole week. The house was very nice. The three bedroom upstairs were super nice and clean. The pool was nice and the kids played in it a lot. The over all amenities in the house were above average. The outside of the house and amenities were a little run down. At this location we saw all kinds of wild life. Would have gave this trip a Five star if the outside was a little better kept and the fourth bedroom was accessed from the main floor, the forth bedroom is on ground level and has only a exterior access. . Over all we will be going back next year.

Expected better!

  • 3 of 5

1st of all when we showed up the temp in the house was 92 degrees, AC was broken, howerever is was addressed quickly, but had to be worked on 3 times during our stay! We had 9 people and was told it would sleep us fine, we made due, but the downstairs is not accessible from the upstairs and the musty smell is really bad, so we sleep everyone upstairs in the 3 bedrooms! Having 9 guest we liked the idea of the large refrigerator for the group, and it doesn't work! There is a replacement regular refrigerator in the corner with no hook ups for ice maker or water, so no ice at all, you will have to buy and put in the chest freezer! Towels are limited and there NO wash cloths at all! Pool chairs are all broken except for 2! It just really needs some thing done, thats the bad! We loved the location, had 2 boats worked great with the dock, water seems to be plenty deep enough and would easily accomadate up to 25ft or maybe more. If u have a group of prob 6 or so it would be great, I dont imagine to many people that would want to sleep in that basement area! Great location if you are a fisherman and close to Bahia Honda for Tarpon fishing! Fyi: We have been renting in the keys for 10yrs, loved this local and defiantly reccommed the folks at Lower Keys Tackle!

Wonderful Home

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this house and location. House was large and and views were magnificent. Updated kitchen was perfect for our needs with just about everything you need in a well stocked kitchen. The fishing dock was a great addition as we fished every day. Location was perfect as we could drive to any of the keys for lunch and/or dinner in less than 30 minutes. We called the maintenance help for assistance with keys and he responded within minutes and was there to help. Could not have asked for a better home or location for our first trip to the keys. Will definitely go back in the future.

A True Fisherman's Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this wonderful home for a week in late January, 2016. We were a group of 8 adults and the home fit us perfectly. Each couple had their own bedroom/bath and two young adults stayed in the downstairs room. It was like staying at a friend's home. Everything we needed was provided. The weather for Florida at that time of year was unusually chilly and rainy, to the point where we wanted to turn on the heater. When it didn't respond we called the maintenance man and he responded promptly and fixed the problem (it was a blown breaker fuse). We rented a fishing boat from Big Pine Key Boat Rentals and had it at the house the entire week. On the days that weather permitted the men went fishing; bringing home dinner that we were able to cook up in the well appointed kitchen. Other days we took the 45 minute drive into Key West to sight see and enjoy the sights. When we are in the area again we will definitely want to stay here!

Loved this PRIVATE paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 1 week in January 2013. We rented this from Nikhila and found her to be prompt and professional. The house was fantastic and perfectly suited for our needs. We stayed here with myself, my husband, three kids, two other couples and our single friend (he stayed in the separate bedroom in the basement and loved the space and privacy). This place was relaxing and fun! The wall of sliding glass doors opening out to the deck, overlooking the ocean is so beautiful and functional!! The fishing was great! We caught some red snapper, and cooked it up, So Good!!! The pool was relaxing and big enough to do laps if desired. The hot tub was great and got alot of use by us on the breezy January nights. I highly reccomend this home to anyone staying in the area in need of this much space. I can't wait to get another group together for a vacation to the Keys.... just so I can stay at this little paradise again. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home Nikhila!! Sorry this review took so long to submit!

Wonderful Venue

  • 5 of 5

We stayed from June 13th-20th. Due to some flight changes we didn't get in until quite late and had a bit of a hard time finding keys (our fault, not Nikhila's) but the cleaners showed up promptly and got us squared away. There were 9 of us, 7 adults and 2 little kids and the downstairs area was just a bit warm for a bunch of Scandahoovians but the upstairs area was large (great a/c) and well set up that it was not a big deal and we were able to get everybody situated. The freezer part of one of the most impressive fridge/freezers in captivity wasn't working but the small chest freezer was more than capable of accommodating everything. The weather was warm but the ESE winds at 10-15 that had been ongoing for some time made kayaking impossible and pushed a lot of weed up into the western shoreline of Spanish Harbor. That was of no surprise to us and should be an expectation of anyone going to the Keys. This was primarily a fishing trip-centric stay with trips out wide from Whale Harbor and into the back country from KW and the house was a perfect jump off spot for both. The proximity to Bahia-Honda (western beach the best) was great for the kids as well. The pool and the incredibly tame Key Deer visits (including a buck in full velvet) were a highlight for everybody. The fishing off the dock wasn't too shabby either considering the conditions and we came loaded for bear. Tons of pin fish available especially in the AM on sabiki rigs. Evening outgoing tides produced a lot of mangroves including several keepers (1/0 and smaller circles on 25-30 fluoro leaders with 2 oz running barrel sinkers, 12-20 lb main line mono). Lots of 2-3 foot nurse sharks. You will need to chum up pretty hard and de-weed a lot but fish are certainly there. I got wasted a few times by good sized 'cuda even fishing with wire and live baits. Same spot every time, cast directly toward the end of the dock on the left. About 3/4's of the way there seems to be some kind of gut or break in the weeds. I would recommend getting a cheap gaff and some gloves at the Marathon K-Mart to handle the toothy critters along with some cheap needle nosed pliers. I've stayed at a few VRBO places now in the Keys and Hawaii and I believe in terms of price, location and alignment of expectations and reality this is the best value for money I've experienced. If you are bringing or renting a boat in the 12-24' class then I can't think of a better place to use as your base of operations. Thank you Nikhila!!!
