Beautiful House, Phenomenal View!

2000+ square feet, newly renovated three story mountain home, ON THE RIVER!
Included are two decks where you can enjoy the peaceful sounds of the river while hanging out with family/friends or grilling your favorite meal, (grill included). The more adventurous can grab one of the available rafts and chill in the Cullasaja River! Or drop a line to fish for trout, (the Cullasaja River is stocked several times a year). There is also plenty of room to relax; front porch swings, decks, or one of the living/sitting areas! This family-friendly property includes a game rooms equipped with a ping-pong table, card table, books and board games.

Easy access with ample parking on Highlands rd, 10 miles from Highlands and 5 miles from Franklin. Visit one of the beautiful waterfalls within 7 miles; Cullasaja Falls, Bust Your Butt Falls, Bridal Falls and Dry falls. Hike numerous trails including 2 to Ranger falls.

Excellent choices for dining within 6 miles; Caffe Rels French cuisine, Sakuras Japanese fare, Gracious Plates farm to table entrees and many more. Relax in one of the local breweries in Franklin after visiting on of the over 30 antique and resale shops!
Addition activities include gem mining, horseback riding and even ghost tours in the evenings! Visit Cherokee to experience the culture and history of native Americans or to try your luck at the local casino! All conveniently located to The River House!

Very relaxing atmosphere and the hosts seem to have thought of everything. Beautiful views of the river from the decks and a cozy feeling all around. I would highly recommend it for a quiet getaway ot the whole family.

Beautiful house on river

This house exceeded all of our expectations. Wonderful condition, great views, easy access, clean, great beds, all in all a wonderful stay. Our host, Michael, was very a great guy, and very helpful with anything we needed, which was just an extra door key, everything else was provided. We look forward to staying there again next year, if not sooner.

Awesome old house for a great weekend getaway

This cool old house is full of character and charm. We loved relaxing on the deck in the mornings, watching the kids fish and enjoying the peaceful river views. During the day, the kids had a blast tubing and playing in the water. There was plenty of room for both our family and my brother’s to spread out and unwind. The location was ideal—easy to get to with no scary roads, and close to town and stores for anything we needed. It was just what we were looking for—a great spot to hang out and make memories together! We would love to come back, they were great host!

Winter fun

This place was perfect for us. My family of 5 and friends Family of 3. The kids loved the upstairs beds and that they each had their own bed. The location is convenient to all kinds of outdoor activities… we went tubing at Sapphire and Highlands Outposts both were amazing. The host communication is excellent. The house is awesome, located on the river bank. Plenty of space in the house for group of 8. The host has done a great job with the details… new kitchen wares… disposable toothbrushes… lamps to read by at each bed. We had an amazing stay and will stay again.
