Nestled on the river bank, this cabin provides an ideal opportunity to sit back and enjoy the wonders of Mother Nature. Relax on the back porch while watching the river glide around its rocks. Close your eyes and listen to the soothing song of moving water and wildlife. You can also watch the river from the window seat in the living area of the cabin. Trout fishing does not get any better than this. You can fish standing or sitting on the river bank or cast your line from large rocks in the middle of the river. The serenity and beauty are captivating.

The cabin was built in 2000 and features a full wood, rustic interior. The cabin has been recently redecorated using a black bear theme The kitchen/ living areas are open; the bathroom is directly accessible to both the bedroom and the living area.

The cabin is an ideal location from which to visit nearby mountain towns and activities. Vogel State Park is 5 miles away; it is 11 miles to Brasstown Bald. Nearby Vogel State Park offers hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, water falls, and mountain cultural evens. About The Owner

We are brother-sister owners of this river cabin. I am self-employed, and my sister is a retired teacher.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2010

Why The Owner chose Northeast Mountains

I am an avid trout fisherman and fell in love with this place. It is within driving distance of each of our homes and is very close to so many mountain attractions. Vogel State Park is 5 mins. away

What makes this cabin unique

We feel this cabin is unique - sitting on the river, outstanding fishing, and very accessible to anywhere in the North GA and NC mountains.

The cabin lies in a beautiful part of the N.GA mountains. It is very close to nearby breath-taking views and lookout areas.

I love to go to the cabin, fish a while, go to a nearby town to eat and shop a little, then go back and fish some more. I wish I could live there permanently.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The property was very nice, very peaceful and quiet.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and we totally appreciated that. BRING YOUR OWN PILLOWS. We are use to a king size bed so that was a little inconvenience but we knew this ahead of time. Fishing was slow snagged a couple but never pulled anything in. A big 'nature' issue while fishing is knats. They made you want to give up. We enjoyed the BBQ restaurant on highway 19. It is very good and you get plenty. Thanks for having a home away from home for people to go to. We also enjoyed coming through Helen Ga. on the way. We had lunch there and then stopped there for breakfast on our way home. God Bless

Amazing and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Great comfy cabin. It was clean and had everything we needed. Super cute decor, my daughter had to say goodbye to every bear in our bear themed cabin. I loved the river and privacy. The hosts were so gracious and helpful. We fished, roasted marshmallows, grilled, cooked big breakfasts and relaxed together with no cell service! We WILL be back!!

The Nottely River Cabin is Awesome

  • 5 of 5

I was wanting a peaceful and tranquil get-a-way and Nottely River cabin provided the perfect atmosphere and accommodations for relaxation. During the time that I spent at Nottely River Cabin, I didn't see another soul and the peaceful and quiet surroundings were amazing. The only sound was that of the mountain stream which runs directly behind the cabin. Unfortunately I became ill on my 2nd day and had to cut my trip short......but most definitely look forward to returning and spending more time in this great little cabin.

The property was as described. Quiet and peaceful.

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed our stay from start to finish. Relaxing, quiet, peaceful, refreshing. As stated, no cell service which can be good and bad, depending on your take. Plenty of things to do in the area. Enjoyed every moment of our stay. Hated having to head home at the end of the week.

A week in the mountains

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed the peace and quiet and listening to the river flowing over the rocks. Did not enjoy the small t.v or not having WiFi. Couch needs replaced. But decor was great and a beautiful property.

Owner's Response: We always appreciate our guests' positive comments. We have opted not to have wifi and state this on our website. There are very few internet providers in the area. With little competition, the service is expensive. We could not continue our present rates if we chose to have wifi. Cabins in the area with wifi have higher rental rates than we do or are geographically located in a more populous area without the natural beauty. We continually add to our to-do list of upgrades and chores at the cabin. Our goal is to provide a comfortable and clean home in which our guests can relax after enjoying the area. We appreciate our guests sharing their experiences.
