About the property

2 Cottage Compound on a double BEACH FRONT Lot

This is a classic small family 'compound' which until now had been in the Brown family since 1928. The original 'Main House or High Tide' was built in 1928 and is exactly what we love about old beach cottages. The main house is COMPLETELY renovated in 2014with all new bathrooms and kitchens but the house still maintains the charm of an old beach cottage. Vaulted wood ceilings, wainscoting, and fantastic views out your private beach to the Bay. It has 4 bedrooms and a sleeping loft perfect for kids in the main house. Yes, this is right on the water.

The second cottage is the old 'boat house or Low Tide' that was converted to living space in the 40's and has 2 bedrooms, it's own separate living area, renovated new bathroom, and modern kitchen.

Our goal was to update the houses with modern comforts but maintain all the charm and feel of being at an old Cape beach cottage. It that is what you like- this is your kind of place. If you would like the history of the cottages from 1928 the Brown family has graciously supplied a nice slice of Old Cape Cod- happy to send it your way.

There are three full baths and an outdoor shower. Gas Grill and Wifi included.

The two houses are rented together during peak season and the main house is rented separately shoulder/off season.

We are dog friendly and dog lovers but to be courteous to the neighbors we limit one dog.

Please take a look at our other property #119813 which is the house 3 doors down and was a similar project we undertook 7 years ago.

Why Mike Miller or Ross Zachs chose Cape Cod

Newly renovated space that just makes us relax. Great waterfront home that is near Provincetown and Wellfleet. It is comfortable with 2 people or a large group.

Wonderful Family Week

  • 5 of 5

We could not have had a more perfect week at this beautiful home! The location was ideal - peaceful, quiet, and close to Provincetown. The beach was lovely, and the view from the house was gorgeous during the day and especially beautiful at night with the lights across the bay - we even saw shooting stars!

Every summer my husband and I look forward to spending time with our four (adult) children and their partners - and this house provided plenty of space for everyone. We loved the decor - so eclectic and inviting. The house was extremely clean and well equipped - plenty of space to cook, with everything that might be needed. The huge tables were excellent as no one had to be crowded when we had a few meals at home.

The beds were absolutely the most comfortable we've ever slept on - just amazing. Morning coffee on the deck was wonderful - really comfortable furniture, with more than enough chairs and places to sit and relax.

Our only regret is that we wished we could have stayed longer!

Thanks so much, Mike and Ross, for being a pleasure to work with and for sharing your beautiful home.

Worth every penny.

  • 5 of 5

In determining where to stay, I was informed that my bed would be in the boat house (aka, Low Tide). I was expecting a couple of bunks while making the main house where I spent my time.

I was delighted to discover how spacious Low Tide is. Large kitchen, huge table to eat at, comfortable living room, and enough bedroom space to sprawl out in. Would definitely do it again.

This is no ordinary rental

  • 5 of 5

Location, Location, Location - you cannot get much closer to town without renting in town. We were a party of 9 (ages 5 - 50) and a good time was had by all. The "compound" is ideal for multiple parties and/or generations with the converted boathouse providing an additional contained living space.

The living space in both the main house and the boathouse provide plenty of room; bedrooms and baths, the kitchens are well stocked, the decor is eclectic and the living spaces are comfortable and accommodate a large group

Oh and don't forget the bay is right out back!

Sister Birthday Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This home is eclectic, modern, funky, and charming. There are nooks and crannies for privacy and solitude, there is plenty of common space, and the beds are cozy and comfortable. The beach views (particularly at sunset!!) are magnificent. We held a special weekend away for my sister's 50th birthday, and it was everything we could have wished for...We had so much fun sampling the vodkas at Mews (thanks waiter Neil...) and really appreciated the suggestion to cab it because of the downtown parking hassle. Loved your suggestion for the Dune Tour, too!

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us Michael and Ross. We are already planning a trip back!

Fabulous Waterfront Home

  • 5 of 5

This home is absolutely stunning. Of course, the location is perfect, right on the bay and just minutes from Provincetown. Plenty of comfortable outdoor seating to watch the sunset, eat lunch, or stretch out with a book. There is even an outdoor shower with a view of the bay! Inside is a great combination of comfort, quirky eclecticism, and space. Every little thing has been thought of: great beds and showers, a fully stocked and functional kitchen, plenty of areas to both get together and find solitude. We will be back again and again! Can't say enough about this home!

WOW, what a find!

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough good things about this beautiful property or Ross and Mike. My two siblings and I are scattered across the country but we grew up spending summers in Dennis Port and decided to come back with parents and family and tried out Truro as it's a place we only ventured to for day trips.

Our week was perfect! The two houses had great decor, both were roomier and larger than pictured, nice new appliances, especially because we love to cook, plenty of dishes, glasses, pots and pans, bedding, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, etc. Houses are bright and airy with great bathrooms, amazing breezes and nice furnishings. The deck is ON the beach and is great for everything, all day long and couldn't be more comfortable. We rented bikes and rode into Provincetown daily and even to the spice company and vineyards 4 miles down the road. We fished, kayaked, biked and had a blast! Thank you for your hospitality, we will be back next year!
