You will not have to worry with all of the Austin Gridlock traffic because you are close to almost EVERYTHING!! Close enough to the action, but far enough away to get some sleep! Zilker Park, Barton Springs, ACL, SXSW, Long Center, Town Lake Hike and Bike Trail, Zilker Botanical Gardens, Palmer Events Center, Zach Scott Theater, go canoeing, or eat at plenty of the great restaurants, (like the original Chuy's) and there's also a grocery nearby. You will be living closer to Zilker Park and Barton Springs than the car parking areas for ACL! City bus is a only a 10 minute walk. You'll have nice views and beautiful sunsets. The open kitchen and living area are on the second floor. Zilker Park, Barton Springs, and the Hike and Bike Trail consist of 360 acres on which visitors can ride bikes (bike rental a mile away), hike, rent kayaks or canoes, play volleyball or disk golf, fly kites, or stroll through the botanical gardens. Barton Springs Road is home to many bars and restaurants, a putting range, a mini golf course, and a performing arts center. About Tom and Daris Hale
Tom and Daris are artsy musicians that perform with the Austin Symphony, Ballet Austin, and Austin Lyric Opera. We have spent many years performing and living abroad in places such as Italy, Austria, Mexico, Germany, and most recently in Tanzania. We have two feral children that are relatively house broken and rarely bite. The kids have to attend ballet, opera, and symphony more than they would like and usually resort to hanging with the stage crew. Quite frequently we host foreign exchange students (high school and college) just because we enjoy sharing the best of American culture, like spray-on tans, and dog sweaters. Seriously, we love people and sharing Austin with them. We look forward to hosting you!

Why Tom and Daris Hale chose Zilker
This property is amazing because it is very private and quiet, yet very close to Austin's finest attractions. You will be closer to ACL than people can park their cars! You can go jogging and then jump into Barton Springs. The greenbelt is great for hiking during the day and 6th Street is fab for evening pleasures. This is a great place if you want to have fun and then retreat to a peaceful accommodation. Then hopefully you will have time to enjoy some coffee from the fancy machine or watch a movie on the large flat screen TV.
What makes this Townhome unique
The views, the quiet wilderness even though you are in the city, the artsy neighborhood, the greenbelt, and of course, Barton Springs-wow! Zilker Park!

Beautiful house and thoughtful hosts
The house is gorgeous and perfect got big groups, but you can tell that by the photos. Having a keypad to get in and out made it very easy for us to arrive at different times, and to split up throughout the weekend. As for the hosts, I have stayed in many VRBOs and Airbnb s, and I don't think I've ever had such a thoughtful and accommodating host. They texted to check in that we got in ok, and again one day into the weekend to make sure we were enjoying our stay. They also let us arrive early and leave late. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful and comfortable stay here! Excellent home in a great location! Thank you!
Unique and Thoughtfully Appointed
A lovely property with interesting artwork. The big dining room table was wonderful for our large gathering of family and friends. The owners have thoughtfully stocked the home with many unexpected but appreciated accoutrements. The neighborhood is incredibly quiet, and conveniently located.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and had a lot of character.
Definitely enjoyed our stay. It is a bit like staying in a glass treehouse.
Kitchen is well stocked and it is centrally located, but in a quiet neighborhood (not in the middle of loud 6th Street).
Would definitely stay here again.
The house is fun and welcoming. Great amenities and the location is the best.
Three story town house with bedrooms and bathrooms on every floor. The kitchen is roomy, modern and stocked with everything we needed to make a light snack or a full meal. The glassed in eating area and the patios were so nice. A short walk to the green belt. A short drive to good eats on S. Lamar. The upstairs shower was the best thing ever after a long walk! Would definitely re-visit
Austin is the Live Music Capitol of the World. Austin City Limits Festival--you will be closer than most people can park! South by Southwest, Formula One! Zilker Park and Botanical Gardens, Barton Springs, and 6th Street. Austin has everything! If you stay here, you are close enough to walk, but still far enough a way that you can get a peaceful night's sleep!
