About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)

Modern urban loft in an award winning 96-unit complex is perfect for experiencing all Seattle has to offer. Conveniently located 1 block from Seattle Center home of the Space Needle and Seattle's Theater District and across the street from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, you have both residential and cultural neighborhoods at your doorstep. Reach downtown with a 5 minute monorail ride or frequent bus service with stops right across the street. Small balcony looks over Gates Foundation.

This is a 600 sq ft condo unit with 1 bedroom with a queen bed, full modern kitchen, and full bathroom (sink, toilet, tub/shower, hair dryer). A perfect getaway for two, with a sofa-bed option (sleeps 1 adult/2 small children). Full-size washer and dryer are in the unit. Floors are polished concrete with area rugs and ceiling are an ample 14'.

Our condo is primarily used by opera singers from around the world when performing at McCaw Hall requiring the unit to be clean, convenient, with all the modern amenities. Since I work in the opera industry, I can give you up to date tips on Seattle's fantastic cultural scene. Grocery shopping is a just an elevator ride away, as the unit is above a premiere Quality Food Center Market. Common areas in complex include barbeque area with gas grills, and Sky Lounge with air hockey and pool table.

About The Owner

We have a long history of renting our unit to artists performing for Seattle Opera. My family includes my husband who is currently a culinary instructor (great for tips on Seattle's food scene) and a daughter who attends the University of Washington. Our adventures include food, culture, travel, sports (swimming, running , biking) and the great outdoors.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2006

Why The Owner chose Queen Anne

We purchased this condo as a place for the many singers, designers, and artists to stay in close proximity to McCaw Hall and Seattle Center. Inbetween those stays we open our getaway to those who want to experience the best that Seattle has to offer.

What makes this condo unique

While staying here you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables or pre-made meals right downstairs, or walk to many great restaurants in the lower Queen Anne area.

The Gates Foundation just opened and is literally right across the street. If you love a morning walk, you can venture one block south to the 13 acre Seattle Center campus and stroll by the Space Needle, the International Fountain, and find the poetry garden. The hearty can venture a mile further and reach the spectacular Olympic Sculpture Park that overlook Elliott Bay. And downtown Seattle is just a monorail or 5 minute bus ride away.

Wonderful Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

The previous reviews were spot on. "A great place to stay in a great city" perfectly describes the condo.

The owners quickly responded to a problem we had with the WiFi. They also addressed earlier reviews. The condo now has a flyswatter and there are hooks in the armoire.

Seattle is a great walkable city. The condo is very close to Seattle Center and within a mile or two of the most popular tourist attractions.

Excellent condo near Seattle Center

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful communication and hospitality by the owner of this great condo near Seattle Center. It was an easy walk to just about everywhere we needed to go for business and pleasure while exploring the beautiful and beautiful city of Seattle. This was a comfortable, clean, modern condo with a grocery store and Starbucks on the lower level of the building.

Great!!!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this unit for a week and a half in late Sept. into early Oct., 2013. Loved the modern, contemporary feel of the unit. For my wife and I, it was perfect. Excellent location ... plenty of things within walking distance: the Needle, Seattle Center, EMP Museum, Chihuly Glass, Olympic Sculpture Park, Gates Foundation, etc. Also, very convenient, with a grocery store and Starbucks downstairs, along with nice pizza and sushi places. Our Seattle vacation was wonderful and this unit was great!!!

Enjoyed our stay

  • 5 of 5

The condo was just as advertised. Kelly met us upon our arrival and gave us a great tour and orientation. The place was clean and well stocked. We really appreciated the location to many of the sites we wanted to see. Also, the public transportation was easily accessible.

The only issue we had was noted by previous reviewers... There are early morning trash pick-ups and deliveries on some of the days so there is some excess noise.

Overall, a great experience!

Perfect home base for Seattle adventures

  • 5 of 5

My college roommate and I flew to Seattle from different parts of the U.S. to spend a week exploring the city and environs. This condo was the perfect home base for our adventures. It's an easy 2-block walk from the Seattle Center. The grocery store underneath the condo complex was handy. Between the store and fully stocked kitchen, we didn't have to go out for breakfast every morning. We cooked several evening meals, which we could eat in the comfort of our home-away-from-home with glasses of good wine (bought downstairs). However, there are also several good restaurants nearby, which we tried.

The building was extremely secure, a bonus for two females. We rented a car and the secure parking (which we opted to include in the rental rate) was very welcome. On days we left the city to visit nearby national parks we didn't have to worry about coming back late at night and searching for a parking spot on the street.

We found the condo stocked with plenty of linens and kitchenware. The instructions left by the owner were extremely useful. And we loved having a washer and dryer available - we traveled home with suitcases of clean clothes!
