Come enjoy peace and privacy on 5 acres bordering hundreds of acres of Rain Forest Reserve lands on a property that is in Volcano Village just a mile or two from the shops and restaurants of Volcano. The Hale Hapu'u is a stunning, renovated home with two large king rooms and sleeping space for two additional teens or children in the large double living room. There are three full bathrooms and a kitchen with every major (and most minor) appliance including microwave and dishwasher. The large back deck has a table for eating or smoking, a hammock...
And your stay now includes a relaxing four person soft tub on the back deck.
High def tv with premium satellite channels is included and there is a high def tv in the living room as well as a new high def tv in the forest room.
The entire property can be booked as a two bedroom/three bathroom which includes the main house and Forest Room suite. Or in low season the main house can be booked (king bedroom, living room sleeping and two bathrooms, kitchen, etc.) without the Forest Room for a $100/night rate reduction - in this case you will still have private use of the property.
This home features cathedral ceilings, central wood burning fireplace, a custom gourmet kitchen with Koa cabinets, granite counters, etched glass, and many antiques throughout.
You will love the extra large, luxurious custom bathrooms - they are gorgeous with roomy tiled showers and exquisite forest views - except the third bathroom off the living room which has less views and a tub/shower combo. The main house upstairs suite bathroom has two pedestal sinks and the forest room bathroom has Koa cabinets and granite counters.
Other exceptional features include a massive covered deck with four person soft tub and table and chairs overlooking the lawn and the forest that blankets you in true serenity.

I am a Realtor/Broker and Artist and have lived in Volcano over 10 years now. I have also lived on Maui, Oahu and spent much time on Kauai so I can help you plan your trip throughout the islands.
My family is very active and love the local activities - our favorites are hiking Kilauea-Iki and picnicking at Bird Park.
Volcano is one of the most magical places on earth. The tropical rain forest - the only one of its kind in the U.S., the active Volcano and the amazing beauty of this area are all part of why I fell in love with Volcano.
The weather here is just about perfect - especially if you like rain!
If you spend time here you will come to believe in the power and magic of Pele.
The Hale Hapu'u is just a minute from the fabulous early Sunday Volcano Farmer's Market at the Cooper Center/playground/skatepark. Another minute and you are in Volcano Village with wonderful restaurants, shops and our intimate post office.
Just another minute down the road and you are at the entrance to the Volcanoes National Park.
Another minute and you pass the Volcano Golf Course, Country Club and Winery.
And just one minute more and you pass Mauna Loa Road which takes you to the enchanting Bird Park with picnic areas and more...
This place was perfect for family of 5 with small children.
Our family of four stayed here: two teen boys even said “Wow” as we walked in! Wonderful floor plan with large masters and beds / large couch on the main level provided more than enough comfort for everyone. The wood, beautiful beams, tall fireplace, wide staircase and tile touches throughout just felt so quality. We all slept so well on the perfectly comfortable beds. Watching the tropical rainstorm from the hot tub and covered deck area was heavenly ! Sipping coffee on the covered deck and communing with the colorful birds in the morning was peaceful. Extra personalized touches were appreciated, from the jackets, walking sticks and slippers by the door, seasonings and coffee and dishes in the kitchen, hair dryer and extra rugs and bedding, laundry supplies, fine toiletries in the bathrooms... This truly was a special family “home away” that our family will always remember .
The property is very beautiful, private and tranquil. We appreciated the fresh fruit, treats and beautiful flowers left for us, it made us feel very pampered. The location is perfect for access to the National Park and to other hikes and bike rides.
Thank you for sharing your lovely home.
We had an excellent visit and enjoyed this place very much. It's super quiet, well stocked and was a great place to unwind for a few days.
Mahalo!!
The home was exactly as described; fully equipped way beyond expectations including fruit in a bowl. We had a minor issue and it was taken care of right away. We did not need the fireplace and didn't use the jacuzzi as we went to view the volcano every night. The home is not really set up as a rental with the owner's many possessions still in place. The home is up for sale in case you are interested.
It was great no complaints
Volcanoes National Park, Volcano Farmers Market, Volcano Winery, wonderful hiking, picnicking, bird park
