Our Beach House sleeps 12 in beds (10 adults plus kids)and we provide a queen AeroBed for 2 more guests in the den. Perfect for 2 families! We also provide a new porta crib and high chair for the babies!
Located in a quiet neighborhood only 1 block from one of Santa Cruz’s best sandy and sunny beaches with steps to the sand at the end of our street. A short walk to Sunny Cove and the other East Cliff beaches, surfing and many great restaurants. Short drive to Capitola Village, Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk, hiking and golf. Only 40 minutes from San Jose International Airport and 1 ½ hours south of San Francisco. Nearby, you will find Monterey, Cannery Row, the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium and beautiful Pebble Beach and Carmel…only a 30 to 45 minute drive south.
The views from the Sandcastle are outstanding…cook and dine while watching the lights on the Monterey Bay through the large solarium windows. Enjoy dinners with sweeping views from the second floor deck and sip a glass of wine from the top of the ‘Castle’ on the Crow’s Nest. Gather with the family in the downstairs family room with comfortable sofas, games, Foosball, ping pong and wet bar with refrigerator. We rent by the week from middle of June to the middle of August. If a partial week is available on the calendar, please contact us!
Cancellation Policy: We hope that you will be able to stay with us...but we realize sometimes plans change. Should you need to cancel this reservation, notice of cancellation must be made in writing and received at least 60 days prior to your check in date. We will refund the sums you have paid, less a $150 cancellation fee per week reserved. If your notice of cancellation is RECEIVED LESS THAN 60 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR CHECK IN DATE, you will forfeit all sums paid, unless we are able to re-rent the property to someone else, at the same rate, for the same period. If the property is rented at the same rate and for same time period as per your original contract, we will only charge a $75 cancellation fee.
$500 Refundable Security Deposit and contract due within 7 days of reservation. 1/2 rental fees due 60 days prior to rental and the remainder is due 30 days prior to rental. Payment is by check. Linens are included.
Owner's cancellation policy:
50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.

About the owner: In short, we love the beach! When our children were young, we would come and play at this beach. We were so excited to find this wonderful beach house and have created many great memories here.
Why the Owner Chose Santa Cruz, CA, USA:
We fell in love with the unique architecture, bright open spaces of the house and the huge solarium windows across the front. But the biggest reason we bought this house is the views! The Monterey Bay is right outside your window where you can watch the lights of Monterey twinkle at night, the fog roll in from the Pacific and the sailboats float by. When we first saw the house…it took our breath away! Our beach house is in one of the sunniest, warmest spots in Santa Cruz. The beach is wide and easily accessible just one short block from the house. The location is perfect...nestled right between the Wharf, the Boardwalk and Capitola.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love walking down to the beach to watch the surfers up and down the coast and the sunset over the Pacific Ocean in the late afternoon. At night, we either walk or drive to the great restaurants close by.
