We have had a love affair with Sonoma for years and are happy to call it home, every now and again anyway. We picked Birch Rd. to build our family getaway and want to share it with you. We took a the wonderful shell of an old 1940's cottage and gave it a facelift to create the most relaxing, comfortable retreat you can imagine. Our modern Sonoma cottage is fully renovated with high-end finishes and decorated with style. Whether you want to bike ride around the gorgeous countryside (bikes provided and many wineries within biking distance), walk to Sonoma Plaza for shopping/dining or lounge by the pool all day and dine al fresca, this cottage is for you.
We have also thought of every detail, especially if you want to bring your kids along. We have a gorgeous pool (with automatic cover that holds the weight of a truck, so no safety issues), custom, modern wooden play set, bikes, toys and portable crib/other items for babies. Our cottage also includes built in bunk beds for 2 kids age 12 and under.
Our cottage is perfect for your Sonoma get together, with a large outdoor dining table and pool lounge chairs for your friends.
The cottage boasts a brand new custom kitchen, new stainless appliances and an indoor dining area. Each of the bedrooms includes a Queen size bed.
In addition, we have a brand new gas fire pit for enjoying your last glass of Cab in the evening, under the cafe lights.
The bathroom is stylishly renovated with a deep soaking tub and bluetooth speaker that seamlessly connects to your phone & music.

We are a family of 4 from Marin County. Mom, Dad, Girl, Boy. We love wine country and the simplicity of small town living...on the weekends anyway!
Jill Williams purchased this cottage in 2015
We love the country. We love wine, we love the restaurants and we love our neighbors. Everyone in Sonoma is so incredibly nice and we love riding our bikes everywhere and enjoying the unbelievably nice weather.
Riding our bikes to wineries and the Square. Walking to restaurants. Lounging by the pool. Spending our life outside.
We had a wonderful time in this beautifully appointed home. My husband commented, "This woman has great taste!" The linens, beds, kitchen, dining areas were all comfortable and nice to spend time together. Unfortunately, we had two days of rain, so no swimming but the back yard is great! And we did have a chance to use the nice fire pit. The road back to the house was water filled with potholes, but that was mostly due to the rain, I would imagine. Only suggestion I would make on the interior would be another bathroom...the location was great, easy walk downtown and for groceries.
We were a group of five visiting wine country and the house was perfect for us. It well appointed and beautiful and equipped with the amenities we needed. The house was well kept and new and everything was incredibly well thought of. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, and there were plenty of bath and pool towels which was such a nice little luxury for us. The location was fantastic - less than 5 minutes by car to Sonoma Plaza, around 45 minutes to St. Helena and close to nearby wineries. The beautiful outdoor deck, pool and fire pit were such great amenities and it was a nice spot for a relaxing breakfast or family dinner at the end of the day. The one thing that would have made the house even better would be an additional WC or bathroom, or perhaps an outdoor shower, but nevertheless we really enjoyed ourselves and would love to come back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Sonoma weekend at the cottage! The decor was very modern furniture was comfy and beds and linens were great. The backyard great for swimming, (pool toys included) sunbathing and BBQ. Didn't have time for bike riding but so nice to see they have all the gear for it. Very kid friendly (toys, utensils, high chair) and fun to be so close to Train Town!
Lots of fun,
Sherry & family
We stayed on Birch Rd for an extra long weekend (5 nights). It was myself, my husband and our 1 and 3 yr old boys. This house was great for us. The owner has so much kid stuff. Including kids plates, cups, silverware, toys, stroller, pnp, etc! It made our visit so much easier as we were flying from the east coast. Plus the washer and dryer made keeping up with all the kids laundry super convenient. The house is just as cute as the pictures. The backyard was fantastic for entertaining. Loved the fire pit and pool. Highly recommend for families!
We had a wonderful stay at this Sonoma cottage. The owner was very nice and quick to reply to any of our questions. The cottage is very well done down to all the little details and we loved the backyard. Indoor/outdoor living, great deck, nice grass yard and, of course, the pool is great. Our kids loved the play structure in the back corner of the yard and the fact that they could pick blackberries over the fence. Good location walking distance to a market and Train Town, and close to the Plaza. The Kitchen is great and well stocked with an outdoor dining table and grill just out a set of french doors. We loved our stay and highly recommend it.
A friend and I took our kids for a three-night getaway before school started. It is on a quiet cul-de-sac but only a mile from Sonoma Plaza.
The house is adorable and redone in a modern style, mostly gray and white. The kitchen was outfitted with plenty of cooking tools. We used the pool in the backyard as well. The bunk beds in the converted room were great and seemed very solid for the kids. The other beds were very comfortable.
Jill was very easy to reach and quick to respond. She has a binder of local info and we did go to one local winery that she'd labeled as kid-friendly - Gundlach Bundschu Winery, only a few minutes away. They were very friendly and the wine and property were great.
We also went to Safari West, which was a 45 minute drive and we booked a tour before we got to Sonoma. It was fun and not too far. We then had lunch in Calistoga, only five minutes from Safari West.
No complaints here! My deposit was returned within a few days. Next time we're in Sonoma, we will definitely keep the house at the top of our list.
