About the Property
6 bedroom 3 bath San Francisco Bay Private Spa Home
There is a bus line to bart or to Marin which is a short walk over the hill to catch at the end of the line. It is about a 25 minute drive to SF. without traffic delays by car. You can drive either to SF on the bay bridge or Golden Gate bridge. The Golden Gate would require 2 bridge tolls on the way into the city and no tolls on the way back from the city. Another option would besides driving or bart to SF would be the ferry from Larkspur which is about a 15 minute drive across the Richmond bridge.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
ABOUT THE ART The art at 551 Casey Drive is by various artists. 2 Lipinski's in the entrance way bedroom. Kathleen Lipinski has worked with images of California landscape for over thirty years in painting, drawing and printmaking. Timothy Rose is an artist from Sausalito.. He mainly makes mobiles. The 3 framed watercolors in the living room are drawings or plans of a mobile to be made. Georgette Osserman is another artist from Sausalito. I knew her from yoga class. Her charcoal drawings are in the hot tub bathroom in the upstairs master suite. There is one Dan May print in one of the downstairs single bedrooms. The chair in the downstairs hall way was designed by my daughter Hilary Lowe as an architectual project when getting her MS from the New College of Architecture in San Diego. She was asked to design a chair for a famous person. This chair was designed for Gandi. It was designed to be sat in with crossed legs. Also there are 6 movable boards as the back rest to symbolize change and temporary states. The spiritual meaning of number Six also deals with enlightenment; specifically 'lighting' our path in areas we require spiritual and mental balance. Sixes beckon us to administer compassion and consciously choose forgiveness in a situation. The rugs are from Iran and were in my family home. I learned to crawl on them. Funny but as a teenager I wanted shag carpet, the modern floor covering, and suggested we get rid of the Persians. As an adult I lived in Saudi Arabia for 7 years. Rug shopping was inevitable. Most of the art acrylics in the house are by Brite Bonnier. Brite was a Swedish woman who came to my house selling Kirby vacuum cleaners. After spending time with our family during the sale and realizing it was not a great career for her I suggested she might like to help me with the children as I had 3 and one a toddler and I needed to get my cycling exercise. Brite was an elderly and proud Swedish (more info on location)
