What makes this Cabin unique
I love the seclusion of this log cabin. Enjoy watching for wildlife from the porch. In the fall and early spring a flock of turkey. Have seen bears and also family of foxes on the mountain.

Very nice place
I read in the comments everyone’s talking about the shower. Well it is worth talking about. It was amazing. We have 3 little ones and they had their own shower so to speak. My husband and I were able to take one together and had plenty of room and our own shower head. The bed was really comfortable and that’s always a plus. The fire pit was used only once but we did sit out there every evening. Our kids had a blast running around and playing. When we arrived Su and Her husband was fixing the drive way so we could get up to the cabin. There had been a lot of rain and some of the road needed fixing. They were so nice. We did some hiking in the area and checked out a few things a couple of hours away. We all had a great time.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our cabin, thanks for the great review. Hope you can visit again!
Absolutely beautiful, will definitely come to stay again.
Beautiful and Secluded
Pros: Spacious, really secluded, lots of amenities. There was plenty of seating (2 couches upstairs, tons of outdoor seating, a small kitchen table with 4 chairs, 2 bar chairs at the island, 1 pull out couch downstairs, several armchairs. We had a large family get-together for a wedding here and this was our VRBO. The first morning we were there we saw wild turkey and it was really special. We sat on the patio and had breakfast at the outdoor table while it rained. One night we had a bon fire outside on the stone courtyard. There's was a corn hole set, bon fire area, 2 gas fireplaces, and plenty of towels and sheets. The shower upstairs (which can fit 2 people) is this amazing double headed and with side sprayers. Hot water didn't take that long either. Washer and dryer is there too, but we didn't take advantage of that.
Cons: The cleaning could've been better. There were dead ladybugs around the house, but especially on the top floor. I also don't think the ad really explained the layout well. The master bedroom is actually set up like a loft overlooking the living room/kitchen. That's an important detail that we didn't know. Wifi wasn't really fast. Don't expect to use your cell phone up here. Reception is really bad, but you're in the mountains of course. My sister has Sprint and couldn't use her phone the whole time. I had Verizon and could use it on the balcony. The bottom floor bedroom with the twin beds has no windows, so it's dark and when you wake up you don't know what time it is. Could be a pro though.
Overall our family had a great time!
Great,secluded, and beautiful cabin
The cabin was spotless and beautiful. We are a family of 6 and it fit us perfectly. The large shower made bathing toddlers so easy. It was like they had their own little personal shower heads. The bottom floor was a perfect suite for our older kids. The home is very well built so the noise level from the bottom basement couldn't be heard up stairs really. The stairs were so quiet on both levels that you couldn't hear while walking. These are important things when you have older kids and smaller kids especially during sleeping times.
Our favorite place to hang out was at the beautiful large fire ring. We could sit there by the fire while the children explores close by us. The lights hanging over the patio area were beautiful as well. We also enjoyed grilling and eating outside on the porch seating. Again, they had two tables and that was perfect for our large family.
There was a beautiful mountain views from the fire pit are.
We also enjoyed walking up by the shed. The scenery was just gorgeous. There was breath taking views along that path way. You can see amazing views of the mountains and the mountain rock on the other side of you. When you reach the end you can climb up and have even more views. We didn't see creeks or water falls or small ponds like another reviewer mentioned, but we didn't explore deep in the woods. The owner stopped by one morning and warned us about a copper head in the rocks. So we were hesitant to explore to deep, and grateful that he warned us. He was very kind and helpful.
There was little to no interest access in the cabin or anywhere in town or on our drives to Cherokee. You definitely need to have address and information in hand before you travel. Once you get there you won't be able to look up anything. Cherokee was a great day trip. We wouldn't however recommend a drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. It's way way to far for a day trip. Mileage time driving is not the same when driving around mountains, and the traffic was horrible.
We do wish the cabin had a hot tub and a hammock. That would have made it absolute paradise. But those are just extras. The cabin was a great price. No complaints here.
Great Location - Excellent House!
This was a well-appointed home - we had a great time here and this was a beautiful piece of property. There is a fire pit to enjoy. Lots of woods and property. A small trail to wander and porches and porches and porches. We met Sue at the zip line rental place up the road and she is so very nice. We were there with our family for Jeep running on the Dragons tail and this was out of the way enough that we could enjoy some of the other things the area had to offer.
Thanks, we look forward to you coming to stay with us again!
Quiet, Private, Relaxing
This was a great place to stay the week. It's not far from Nantahala Lake (must visit). The home was well maintained and very clean. We would definitely return for another stay. The only Cons would be that the Internet definitely needs upgrading if you have more than one serious user. The owner did make mention of plans to upgrade internet provider. Be prepared to unplug and be unreachable if you have cell phone service from ATT. The location on the mountain makes it very difficult to get even one transient bar. Verizon users will be ok. Installing a cell phone signal booster for various providers may be a nice consideration. I strongly advise a four wheel drive capable vehicle with decent tires to reach the cabin. We did alright in a Ford Expedition, but would have rather had my F150. The owner is very nice, and also owns a local zipline business which we didn't get a chance to do. Overall we would definitely return to this vacation home.
Our cabin is set off the main road on fifty acres. You can enjoy the beauty of the mountains in a private setting yet be just minutes from the grocery store. Andrews is a great central location to enjoy your favorite outdoor adventure. Ridgerunner ziplines only 2 miles away. 15 minutes to white water rafting and horseback riding. 30 minutes boating on lake nantahala, 45 minutes to Lake Sanateelah and Joyce Kilmer (a virgin poplar tree preserve.) the area has an abuntance of streams for fishing. About 40 minutes ride to the famous Tale of the Dragon, as well as numerous Motorcycle routes. Cherokkee and casino about 45 minutes. Maggi Valley Offers Skiing and Tubbing in the Winter. In town there's also a post office, drug store and several restaurants.
