BEAUTIFUL OPEN VIEWS! Located at the top of a quiet cul-de-sac in the guard-gated golf community of Eagle Mountain. Beautiful and interesting elevated expansive view overlooking 3 golf holes (12, 13, 14), and a handful of large custom homes on the other side of golf course that back up to the dramatic mountain beyond.
This 3600sf Territorial Santa Fe style custom home is perfect for couples, families and golf retreats. Situated directly on the golf course above the 4 tee boxes of the fourteenth hole, it is not subject to flying golf balls. It is a one story floor plan with high ceilings throughout and no stairs.
See below for rates. Taxes not included. Additional costs/fees: Utilities - included in weekly rates; additional for monthly renters / Optional pool heating at $20 per day for weekly renters / Cleaning fee of $200.
The outdoor area is an entertainer’s delight and has a wonderful open, very festive feeling. It is situated above the tee areas so as to provide privacy from the golfers, yet you can view the action if you choose. A large high-ceiling covered patio is accessed from the kitchen/great room on one side and from the master bedroom on the other side. The BBQ area includes a pergola/trellis connecting the covered patio to the pool on one side of the patio, with a curved bar underneath. Part of the bar area is in the shade of the covered patio most of the day, but with a beautiful view. Additionally, there is an outdoor dining table with sunbrella, chaise lounges and a seating arrangement in the patio area. There are city lights views from sitting areas just above the tee boxes for great nighttime views.
The pool is designed with a high-end small iridescent tile surface and has a water feature and a separate spa. Both pool and spa can be heated separately.
The main wall in the great room has been remodeled to include a large stone fireplace (gas) and 55” flat screen LED TV. The chef’s kitchen has slab granite counter tops, a large island with bar seating and a wine cooler.
The living/dining room has a dining table that seats up to 12 people (with leaves extended) comfortably.
There is a baby grand piano (Kawai) in the living/dining room. Whole house audio provides separately controlled music in all major rooms, including the master bedroom and patio.
4 BEDROOMS - 2 with KING beds; one QUEEN; one with 2 TWIN beds / 4 BATHROOMS
All furniture and high end comfortable mattresses in all 4 bedrooms were purchased in 2012. The large master bedroom has a king bed and a view of the pool, with the golf course and mountain beyond. The dresser/entertainment center includes a flat screen TV and a small desk. The large master bath has his and her vanities with long counter tops. The walk-in closet is very large, with lots of storage, hanging space and drawers.
The other bedroom in the master bedroom wing has a queen bed and its own full bath across the hall.
There are 2 more bedrooms in the guest wing; these have views of the golf course. The feature bedroom faces the morning sun and has a king bed and a newly added designer en suite bathroom with a walk-in closet. Two couples sharing our home will find this “guest” bedroom rivals the “master”. The 4th bedroom has 2 twin beds and its own full hall bath.
Additionally, the guest wing includes an open media/bonus room area where there is a queen sleeper sofa. There is also a desk and chair, as well as a 51' flat screen plasma TV.
The home has a large 3 car garage.
The guard-gated community of Eagle Mountain is located just adjacent to Scottsdale in the southern foothills of the McDowell mountains. It is bordered to the south by a vast natural desert area owned by the Salt River Native American community.
Here you can have it all. The upscale suburb of Fountain Hills has a relaxed, small town atmosphere, but the posh shopping districts, restaurants and nightlife of Scottsdale are located just a few minutes away. Frank Lloyd wright’s Taliesin west is 10 minutes away. You can gamble at the nearby Fort McDowell casino. Possibilities for outdoor activities abound, including hiking, biking and horseback riding in the desert. The large public tennis facility of Scottsdale Ranch Park (where you can play tennis for $8 for 1.5 hours) is 15 minutes away and offers clinics and instruction. Saguaro Lake (30 minutes away) has a full service marina and offers boating, skiing and great bass fishing. In winter, there is snow skiing at Flagstaff, which is 3 hours away. Sedona is an easy day trip.
The world-renowned Mayo Clinic is 2 miles down Shea Blvd from the Eagle Mountain community.
We bought this home in 2012 as a second home, after discovering the Eagle Mountain community through a vrbo listing. As we live in Stamford, Connecticut, we were looking for something in a warm climate and fell in love with the haunting beauty of the desert, both at day and by night. We were especially interested in the Eagle Mountain community because of its interesting mountainous, not flat, terrain and green golf courses. On one early trip, we actually ate at the Vu Bistro 3 nights in a row (We never do that!) because of the view(!) of Eagle Mountain, the music and ambiance of the outdoor terrace. We plan to engage in many outdoor activities, primarily tennis, hiking, biking and skiing – and indoor activities in the restaurants and night clubs of Scottsdale!
The location of our house is unique in that it is at the top of a quiet cul de sac in a guard-gated community, with a beautiful, expansive, elevated view overlooking 3 green fairways and a handful of large custom homes on the other side of the golf course that back up to a dramatic mountain. The outdoor area is very open, festive and, although it is situated above the golf tee areas and provides privacy from the golfers, it allows for watching lots of action on the golf course if you choose. So despite the fact that there are limitless possibilities for activities in the area, there is really no reason to leave home at all!
This house in gated Eagle Mountain is excellent -- great location especially for golfers , very clean and in good shape, luxury amenities (kitchen, baths, bedrooms, grill, and spa), a great pool with sun all day, a responsive local representative, and easy arrangements with the owners. What could be better. I highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed; rather, you will be delighted.
We had such a nice time in scottsdale
The house was great!!!
For 15 years four of us have been traveling down to the Phoenix area for an annual golf outing. We’ve been staying in Fountain Hills for about half of this time. This year we decided to stay for a full week and we found this wonderful home right on Eagle Mountain Golf Course, looking out over three fairways. The place was so great it would be easier to list the negatives. There were none! Amazing views looking out over the pool and hot tub and on to the course and to the hills. Fry’s Grocery up the street. The inside was very open and comfortable, with high ceilings; well equip modern kitchen and nice size rooms and baths. Good size garage with lots of pool toys. Everyone had their own bath/shower and plenty of space to spread out—inside and out. The owners have a local person who met us at the house and was very helpful when needed. We plan on coming back next year and beyond!
This place has everything you want for a vacation getaway. Lots of room - big enough for a 4 couples. Perfect for golfers. Beautiful setting. Conveniently close to Fry's for picking up groceries etc. Loved the golf course too (Eagle Mountain).
From the moment we arrived we knew that this home was all class! Anne and Stephen were very easy to deal with. The house was a five minute drive from Scottsdale very central to all amenities. The gated community was very quiet and a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Arizona Sun. All the rooms were very clean and inviting, overlooking 3 golf holes with no chance of being hit by even the worst golfer it was a great way to unwind as you watched the players go by. Thanks again Anne and Stephen! We are counting the days until we can come back!!!
Our family spent a week and enjoyed this house tremendously!!! This is a beautiful home and the location / surroundings are stellar. Very well appointed with everything you would need for a fun and comfortable stay. The owner was great to deal with through the process. Close to all activities and shopping. We will be back!!!
My husband and I spent a week at this beautiful home in early May. The house was great! The owners were very accommodating and prompt with everything. The house is clean and well taken care of. The house is in a prime location on the golf course, however we felt privacy throughout our stay. We spent a lot of time around the lovely pool, and each day walked the fountain at Fountain Park just a few miles away. I would recommend this house for just about any occasion! We will definitely be back!
Adjacent to Scottsdale for arts and posh shopping, restaurants and nightlife. 15 minutes to huge, reasonably priced Scottsdale tennis center. 30 minutes to Saguaro Lake for boating, fishing, jet skis and a restaurant. Terrific hiking, cycling, horseback riding, hot air ballooning. Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West is 10 minutes away. Mayo Clinic is 2 miles away. Many many golf courses.
