About Kim Prey

We are from Detroit, MI and currently live just outside Houston, TX. We have been married for 26 years and have a daughter and a son.

Kim Prey purchased this villa in 2012

Why Kim Prey chose Siesta Key

This villa has such a unique location...right next to Siesta Key Village with restaurants, entertainment, and shops, and a short walk to an uncrowded part of Siesta Key beach, which was voted #1 in the nation at one point. We love the relaxed atmosphere of Siesta Key.

What makes this villa unique

Park your car and walk everywhere! Eat at a restaurant in the village (many with outdoor seating and some even allow pets), or bring back groceries from the market in town for a meal at home. Walk to the village for a day of shopping, or walk to the beach for a day of shelling. Lots of sand dollars to be found on the sand bar just off the shore! Rent a bike and ride 2.7 miles to the other end of Crescent Beach. Make sure to find a spot on the beach to watch the gorgeous sunsets at night.

Wonderful Beach Cottage in Fantastic Location

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay and hope to come back often. The unit is in excellent shape with attractive and very comfortable furniture and beds. The front patio is perfect for coffee, drinks, meals or just lounging. The location is amazing - truly a 2-3 block walk to the beach and around the corner from all the retail amenities of the village of Siesta Key. The parking space outside the door and the fitness center adjacent to the cottage are great features of this home as well. Also, both the owner and the manager are fantastic and were quick to answer any questions and respond to any requests! Highly recommend

Perfect place for us

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying here. The kitchen was well--appointed, the bed was comfortable, and the lush patio was very pretty. We even grilled for the first time in years! The passcode door lock was so much better than trying to keep track of a key. And all the beach items for our use was so helpful. The back gate that leads right onto the Siesta Key Village "strip" was so convenient. Made it easy to run out in the morning for the best croissants ever at Cafe du Jour or the mini donuts at the wee kiosk. Stock up at the Siesta Market on arrival. The unit was very comfortable and Kim was so easy to communicate with. Walk to everything! Beach was 400 steps from the front door. We already booked for next winter - but longer!

Owner's Response: We are so glad you will be staying again with us next year! I'm glad you mentioned the passcode lock...that's definitely one of the best features of the villa. Makes it so much easier with no key! Next time you're at the French cafe try the omelette with brie if you haven't already. It's amazing.

Great Location in Siesta Key!

  • 5 of 5

This year my husband and I decided to stay closer to the village so we could walk to the bars and restaurants but wanted to have beach access close by. This villa was the perfect spot for just that! The beach was at the end of the block and the village is just around the corner. We’ve found our new favorite place to stay in Siesta Key! The villa has all the amenities of home with its comfy furniture and beachy decor. Kim was very nice to deal with and responded quickly to my emails. Dan and I will definitely be staying at Kim’s villa again.

Our property is located adjacent to Siesta Key Village which has numerous restaurants, bars, and shops to enjoy. Some of our favorite places to eat are Siesta Key Oyster Bar, Daiquiri Deck, Jo-To's, The Lobster Pot, Aaron's Fish Camp, and Meanys Mini Donuts. The Hub has the best margarita around! You can rent bikes, segways, and two-seater convertible cars at Robin Hood Rentals. The biggest attraction of the area is of course the beach. On Sunday nights just before sunset there is a Drum Circle at the public beach. Nearby Sarasota is home to museums, shopping, botanical gardens, zoos, and many restaurants. Myakka River State Park offers hiking and airboat tours to see alligators. It's not too far to go to Busch Gardens in Tampa for the day.
