The house was an historic building, the host had lots of historical information about the house and area which was very cool. Great location and house was well equipped with whatever you would need. Nice kitchen for cooking meals and a gas grill. Really enjoyed our stay!
My husband and I had a wonderful week in this lovely historic home. It was just the two of us, so plenty of extra room and certainly accommodates a larger family. The home was impeccably clean, well-stocked and there wasn't anything that we wished we had - it was all there. The kitchen had all the equipment, utensils, dishware, etc. one would want. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of linens with extras if needed. The back yard was a great place to relax and soak up some early season sunshine. The home is in close proximity and walking distance to just about everything - coffee shop, smoothie shop, restaurants, general gift shops, candy/bakery, etc. Communication with Pete (owner) and Don (property manager) was excellent and seamless. We would definitely love to return to this home in Kennebunkport. Great week - thank you for sharing your home!
Very much enjoyed our stay at Peter’s property. Great location right next to Dock Square. Clean and great communication. Would love to come back and stay again.
Another great stay at this property!Stayed almost 4 weeks and it felt like home again. Location is perfect. House was super clean again and ready for our stay. Friendly hosts, perfect place, what else can you ask for. Thanks so much!
Great location in Kennebunkport. Middle of town. Coffee shop across the street. Walk to all shops and restaurants. Central location for day trips. Second time staying there. Quick response time from owner on questions. Will book again. I Maine.
Every year we have happy times at this 238 year old house in Kennebunkport. Completely modernized for the 21st Century, this comfortable house is just steps away from the shops and restaurants of Dock Square. We especially like walking to the sights the town has to offer. Looking forward to returning next year.
This was the perfect place for us as we visited family in the area. It is within walking distance of many stores and restaurants. The kitchen had everything we needed - we're a family that likes to cook. The house is beautifully furnished and has plenty of places to relax. The beds were comfortable. I can't say enough good things about this place! It is definitely my first choice for a return visit.
Absolutely wonderful on every account. My family of 5 stayed in this house for a week and it felt like home by the time we left. The location is unbeatable. In the heart of Dock Square and within an enjoyable walk to everything. The home was perfectly clean and very cozy. (I wish my house was this well insulated.) The kitchen had everything we needed. We had contact with the owners and property manager and everything went smoothly with checking in. There were no issues to address while we were there but I'm confident they would have been handled quickly. Highly recommend this location.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful. It is in a very convenient location. The house is well stocked and the hosts truly care. We will return when in the area in the future.
This well-appointed house is conveniently located just steps away from shops, restaurants and activities. We return every year to greet old friends, make new friends and enjoy the area. The hosts were exceptional at making our stay comfortable, and we are planning on returning next year.
Always sad to leave. This is our 6th time coming up to this house. From the minute you walk in , it's feels like home! Perfect house ! Perfect location. The owners and management are awesome!' Location amazing. Until next year!!!
We couldn’t ask for better accommodations for my family. The home is conveniently located close to all shops and restaurants and came with a beach parking pass to boot. Thank you!
The owners and their house managers are so darn nice and accommodating. The house is a just perfect, great location, lovely backyard. I’ve stayed here two summers in a row and want to stay here again next summer!

Just as listed.... great house, right in town, and seasonal pass to park at beach. Lovely house and really enjoyed being able to walk right into town... 2 minute walk. One note: First time I've seen a clothes dryer with a water tank. Top left slides out and needs to be emptied after each load.
The house is clean and tastefully decorated.
The location perfect, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants!
We look forward to returning in the future!
This is the second time we have stayed at this property. The location is right in the Port and walkable to all of the shops and restaurants. The property owners and managers are always so responsive and a pleasure to speak with. The house is well appointed and is a great place to stay in beautiful Kennebunkport.

About the host
Hosted by Pete Wahtera
We lived in Kennebunk years ago before getting recruited to a job in Mn. I promised my wife that we would get back here some day. And we did. (Part Time ) We had a condo first for a few years and when saw this 1797 house for sale we jumped at it. It has been a lot of work but we love it. We rented to the Secret Service( BUSH) for years in the summer - 14 years. We made the change to VRBO a few years ago.
Why they chose this property
It is in the Port. It has great History and is very warm and comfortable.
What makes this property unique
We have tried to keep the house as close to the late 1700 as we could. It is in the historic district of Kennebunkport and within walking distanced to most everything.
