About Henry Noble and Julie Tracy

We live in Danbury, Connecticut and have been in love with Lake George for many years. We finally found our dream home, and hope you enjoy it also. We love rustic surroundings, and also the amenities of modern living.

Henry Noble and Julie Tracy purchased this chateau / country house in 2012

Why Henry Noble and Julie Tracy chose Lake George

We love the historical importance of the Adirondack regions, and the classic rustic style that it has inspired worldwide. Lake George water is clear and clean and the natural beauty is inspiring. Being located on a dead end road was important to us as we like to walk, run and bike. There is great hiking nearby. We also love going to the antique stores and green markets in nearby Vermont.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

The view from the Adirondack chair on the dock, a bottle of wine, and the sunset, you and your family will never forget.

Consistently awesome...

  • 5 of 5

This is the third year we stayed at this wonderful property, and we will be back in 2017! The place is absolutely second to none. In fact, we decided to book for 2017 BEFORE we got home from vacation this year! If that isn't telling of how wonderful a place this is, nothing is. In addition to the glowing reviews I provided in 2014 and 2015 - see below - I will add that for the first time this year we were fortunate to meet Julie, and the pleasure was all ours. Unbelievably warm and accommodating, every VRBO owner/renter should be as wonderful as Julie and Henry. The weather (middle of August) was awesome - we spent most of the time boating, fishing and swimming off the wonderful dock, hanging by the fire in the wonderful back yard, and day trips to Lake Placid, NY and Shelburne Farms, VT. There is something for all ages. We cannot wait for July 2017.

A great place to take your family!

  • 5 of 5

Very simply we had the best time. The property, house and amenities were great and very clean. The view is spectacular and water is very clean and clear. Between kayaking, boating, swimming and fires by the lake we were never bored. A awesome place to stay! Thank you for a great time!

A beautiful time once again!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful week we had once again. The house is wonderful, and the screened in porch is the best. Our two toddler grandchildren and our five year old granddaughter loved the porch beds especially. The swimming was refreshing. We rented a boat for a day from Snug Harbor and enjoyed a beautiful day out on the lake. Thanks again, for another good vacation--wish we were there right now!

Awesome!! Picture perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at your home! We had a total of 10 people staying the week (2 families), with young children, and it was just perfect for us. The house is beautiful and has a picturesque view of Lake George. It has a ton of kitchen supplies, the linens and sheets that were provided were great. It feel like home. The use of the kayaks was great along with the dock, in which we rented a pontoon boat to use for 3 days. We highly recommend doing this. We "rented" our own private islands 2 days in a row and the third day we took the boat to the Shelving Rock Falls area, dropped anchor, and hiked to the waterfall. We also visited Fort Ticonderoga, Mt. Diafiance, went to dinner in Hague, went fishing numerous times, among many other things.

The owners were great to work with. Very efficient and easy to get ahold of. It was our first time at Lake George and it won't be our last. We'll be back for sure!

Beautiful house right on the lake

  • 5 of 5

I'm reluctant to write this review because I want to keep this place all to myself! The house is beautiful, and well appointed, and the owners just completed an addition that (remarkably) made it even better. The house is right on the lake, where the water is perfect for swimming and kayaking, and there's boat rental a few minutes away where you can rent speed boats, jet skis, or pontoon boats (our favorite). This area of the Lake George is quiet and peaceful, but you can be in the more commercial/touristy areas in 30 minutes (Bolton's Landing), or 60 minutes to Lake George Village. Tons to do in the area, and plenty of room in the house. We've stayed at the house twice, and will definitely be back!
