Clean and close to everything! This was a lovely home base for our stay in Kailua. The nicely decorated cottage had nearly everything we needed for an enjoyable trip. The space is cozy, with room-darkening blinds, AC, and fans in each room. The drawers, closets, and abundant hangers on the second floor also gave us plenty of space for clothes and shoes.Rick and Nancy are wonderful hosts—they quickly responded when we asked for measuring spoons and a working can opener during our month-long stay. Because of the unreliable wifi, Rick was kind in recommending a third-party service for me to reserve nearby for an important business call.The kitchen is simple, with no dishwasher and a small, narrow table used for both food prep and dining, which may make it better suited for shorter stays or for guests who plan to mostly dine out. The one-person bathroom is located upstairs (none on the ground floor), which we quickly got used to—and it did help us get a few extra steps in each day.The location is unbeatable—just an easy walk to the beach for morning runs, and the available beach equipment was a terrific bonus. Overall, we had a great stay!
