Waterfront beach house.
This charming 1903, three level, tastefully restored, waterfront beach house, has panoramic views of Necanicum River, the Estuary, Tillamook Head and Pacific Ocean. Features include, private steps to the soft sand beach, original woodwork throughout the home and claw foot bath tub. Many modern upgrades compliment the quintessential vintage charm.
Create a moment.
Roomy enough for a family clambake (comfortably sleeps 8 in summer, 6 in winter), intimate enough for a romantic weekender, this well-appointed home offers great usable space for cooking, indoor and outdoor seating options for drinking and dining, and big fluffy beds to flop down in at the end of the night. Double fridge/freezer, dishwasher and laundry, coffee maker(s) and cable TV, extra soft linens and clean towels, big windows with lots of natural light (and candles tucked away for the evening hours), a working cook’s kitchen and a sloping grassy yard - this is a flexible, livable space that easily adapts to (and inspires) any adventure.
Relax at the coast.
Tilt your Adirondack chair toward the waves, or curl up with a book in the cozy sunroom. Enjoy private beach access - where fresh meets salt water at the intersection of the Necanicum River and the Pacific Ocean - with crabbing, kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding just steps from your door (all required kit for crabbing is awaiting your arrival - so grab it and go get ‘em!). The wine fridge and fully stocked honor bar is at your disposal (house rules: take a little, leave a little... it all balances out).

Why Jodi Jack chose Seaside
It was love at first sight. It is a beach front home, overlooking the estuary and the Pacific Ocean. Add to that the home's historic beauty. We really have never seen anything this unique and beautiful.

Beautiful House in a perfect location
We spent a week at this house for a family vacation, and the spot was perfect. Our little kids could go right down to the beach and play in the sand. The house is just north of the center of Seaside, which has an aquarium, arcade, restaurants and a cool promenade along the oceanfront. I think the view from
this house is the best in the area. We look forward to returning as soon as we can.
A great family experience in a calm and restful setting...
The house is comfortable, though we did have to fix both the Bunn coffeemaker and the capacino machine before we could have coffee! I felt the place could have used a deep cleaning also as the cabinets and surfaces had definitely taken a hit over time. The dining table is super big and sturdy. Parking was fine for two cars and we were never on the grass. I did bring my dog and he enjoyed the beach with us. Some of our party hiked from Cannon Beach to Seaside. Some of us drove to Gearhart and hiked out to the costal beach. The estuary was wonderful for a fire at night and we did get two nights without rain to do that. It was a wonderful vacation. I would have given this VRBO a 5 star rating had there been less restrictions on using the fireplace, as it was very cold and rainy three days/nights of our stay and in March, that is normal and necessary to want additional warmth inside. The little stove on the porch was on if we were out there and it worked great. Maybe the fireplace should be replaced with a gas one?
Such a great escape. Loved the location. A+
What a great little escape with my family. The property is just what we were looking for. Quiet and quaint. We saw a heard of Elk on our first morning, just having a cup of coffee looked out the window and BOOM...Elk. The kids loved it. Lots to do in the area. We went to Astoria, which was only a 20-25 minute drive, and drove around showing our kids the Goonies house, bowling alley, and jail from the movie. So amazing!!! The owner was amazing. Very helpful and even contacted me the second day, just to see how our stay was going and to check if we needed anything. Would love to come back. Great place to just unplug and escape our busy lives and just have quiet family time.
Absolutely beautiful historic home on the beach! A Christmas to Remember!
Our family spent the Christmas holiday at this gorgeous historic property and we couldn't have asked for any more! We grew up in an historic home, so we truly appreciated the beauty of this old home. The owners have taken such good care of this house - you can tell it has been really loved thru the years. The house is stocked with everything we could have needed to have a festive, yet relaxing, time together. The kitchen was definitely more stocked with all the tools and condiments, spices, etc than we could have ever asked for in a vacation home. The appliances worked great and they are obviously huge coffee fans, like we are! Most days we had the drip pot, french press and espresso machine going! Even the serving ware made our stay feel like we were at home! The house was amazingly clean for an older home, and I'm pretty picky about that! The linens were decadent. You really feel like the owners live there and leave everything for the guests to really enjoy their stay (including rain coats, boots, crabbing and clam digging toys!). We were able to get some clams for an appetizer, right out front of the house, but the crabbing was a little slow (no ones fault there! we are fisher people, so we get it!). The TV and sound system were really nice. We were so fortunate to have nice weather most of our days, but if it was rainy out, we played games and read. We had our pups with us and it was so nice to be able to take them right down the steps and let them run the beach. We would love to come back to this property again some day. Summer must just be amazing here as well. Thanks to Jodi, the owner, for making our stay so special. A Christmas to Remember!
Perfect for a family. Very unique and very clean.
Great place for a family getaway!
We had a blast! The house is located just steps from the beach, and the sun room was delightful in the late after and evening. The property was well stocked with supplies and the kitchen had everything we needed during our stay. Rooms were clean and uncluttered when we arrived. The crab trap was appreciated and put to frequent use (the crabbing was awesome!). It also located close to shopping, in case we needed anything. I highly recommend this location and hope to return next year.
The clamming season opens in early fall and generally lasts through early to mid-summer.
Razor clamming is closed on beaches south of Seaside, but is generally open on beaches from Seaside - North to the Columbia River.
The daily Razor Clam limit per person is the first 15 clams
Here in Seaside the seafood is fresh, but there's nothing fresher and more satisfying than catching your own dinner.
September through December are probably the best times to go crabbing, however, Dungeness crab can be caught starting in late July or August through February depending on the weather.
Fishing opportunities on the North Coast are plentiful.
The months of May through September yield the richest prospects.
If you prefer fishing local lakes and streams from your own boat or casting your line from the bank, there are plenty of locations to choose from. In Seaside, Quatat Marine Park and Cartwright Park along the Necanicum River offer boat ramp river access, and at Quatat, you can fish right on the river from the docks. Trout, steelhead and striped bass can all be caught along the Necanicum.
Surfing is an very popular sport on the Oregon Coast. At the Cove in Seaside, surfers can be found year-round, practically all day, every day. Seaside is also home to two surf shops that sell and rent boards, wetsuits, and other accessories.
The North Coast is home to some of the best waterways for kayaking and canoeing. From the open ocean and rivers to the shallow picturesque inlets and bays, there are boating opportunities for all skill levels. Most of the year, kayaks and canoes are available from the local recreation rental shops.
The area in and around Seaside is home to several beautiful public golf courses.
Tennis and other Sports
In Seaside, public tennis courts are located at Broadway Park and Seaside High School. Basketball hoops are located at most of the local parks. Broadway park, part of the Sunset Empire Park & Recreation District, has a skate park, area for baseball & soccer, basketball hoops, playground equipment and indoor public swimming pools.
