While celebrating a milestone birthday in Hyannis in 2016 with dear friends, we experienced the towns and beaches of the Cape and we were enchanted. The following year, on a family vacation that was everything but relaxing, we looked at each other and said, let's go to back Cape. After owning a vacation home for 20 years in New England, and happily having sold it in 2014, we thought, should we do it again? Could we find a property that could at least meet the experience we had? We didn't think it was possible.

Why Ellen chose West Hyannisport
In August 2017, we decided to explore the towns on Cape Cod. This time the beaches, restaurants, the community of local artists and activities amazed us with so much to do and see. With more than 20 years experience as vacation rental home owners, we knew what we wanted in a new house. And we knew what we wanted to be different this time around. An open floor plan to welcome family and friends without feeling cramped. A kitchen large enough for our whole family at the holidays, high ceilings and spacious living areas. And proximity to the beach. We had grown weary of crowded beaches, and no parking or bathroom facilities. With our new home, located in Seaside Park, known as "The Avenues" with a private association beach, kayak storage and an location accessible to everything yet located out side of the heavy summer traffic, we found it. Working with our decorator, our home is receiving all new paint, furnishings, flatware, linens, bathrooms, appliances - if you can name it, we are doing it. The mechanical systems needed to be updated so we did. A new boiler, new tankless on demand hot water system, and central air conditioning. As long as we were at it, we ran a new gas line to install a gas cook top (I can cook two ways with electric - done and undone) and a gas line for the gas grill on the deck. No more refilling of propane tanks. Located in a quiet neighborhood, this home is easily accessible to everything to do and see on the Cape. Main Street in Hyannis with its 120 shops and restaurants (many of them Zagat rated) is 2.0 miles from our house. If the private beach at the end of our street isn't enough then the 1.0 miles from our drive to Craigville beach is a breeze to get to. Our house is located in an area of Hyannisport that avoids congestion and traffic. Located near all the activities you may want in a vacation, but in a quiet safe neighborhood. This is where we get away and get to the Cape!

The open floor plan, the square footage make this house unusual for the area. With an abundance of natural light including the skylights, the hardwood floors, the generously sized bathrooms, the private yard, the separate living areas for three generations of family in the house at once, this house has it all. When we walked in and saw the high ceilings and open floor plan, we knew this home presented an unique opportunity for our family to come back to New England. To relax. To enjoy spending time together as a family. We sat on the front porch and watched the families strolling to the beach with their wagons. We enjoyed the privacy of the back deck and the fully fenced yard. Every day, every season, this house make it feels like we were always meant to be here.

We loved your home. Our stay was very comfortable. Your home is nicely appointed. Nice kitchen. Weather didn’t allow us to sit on the front porch. All four of us enjoyed our stay. We would gone again.
The house was great everything we needed was there clean,comfortable perfect layout for 2 couples enjoyed biking to the beach! We will rent this house again for sure!
