SeaBiscuit is located in what many people refer to as the most extraordinary neighborhood in Kennebunkport. One block off of Ocean Avenue, 2-3 blocks to Walker's Point, President & Mrs. Bush's home , and is surrounded by multimillion dollar homes. There are ocean views from the large, sunny deck and you are able to listen to the ocean crashing on the rocky Maine shore at night. SeaBiscuit is fully winterized and because it is south facing, it is drenched in year round sunlight.

The heart of this wonderful home, the Great Room, has high, beamed ceilings, a super stone fireplace, large flat screen TV, large sectional sofa and Ralph Lauren easy chairs for real relaxation time. Beautifully furnished indoors and out, with superb outdoor deck furniture, the environment is pet and family friendly and has a terrific back yard for play.

The first floor also features a family friendly dining area off the Great Room with gorgeous teak dining table for 8, fully outfitted kitchen, sunny & spectacular living room with Ralph Lauren sofa (perfect for chatting and reading), a big playroom for the kids/young adults with their own flat screen tv as well as play/dining tables, and a beautiful powder room with exquisite marble. There is extra dining in the playroom which will accommodate at least four more adults and kids.

The second floor features an extra large master bedroom with lovely four poster bed and bath with shower, along with two other family bedrooms with queen sized beds & antique headboards, a fourth bedroom with full sized bed with antique iron headboard, and bath with tub & shower. The master bedroom, as well as the large front bedroom are both spacious enough to easily accommodate a portable crib if necessary. We have a pak n play. The full size washer & dryer are located on the second floor.

The amazing part of this classic colonial is that it has a full third floor with two large bedrooms- one with queen sized bed, the other with 2 full sized beds, and bath. Kids love to hang out here!

Quite simply, the neighborhood is fantastic! Made for running & walking on Ocean Avenue and biking, the Colony Hotel and Beach is just two blocks away, as well as the Breakwater Inn & Spa, The Nonantum, Inn & Restaurant, Edge Water Inn, Mabel's Restaurant, St. Anne's Church and the newly refurbished Cape Arundel Inn & Restaurant There are so many restaurants within walking distance that you just may not cook your entire stay. We always walk to the art and crafts fairs at the River Club and the Silas Perkins Park every summer. Dock Square is also within walking distance, approximately 1 1/2 miles.

Our home isn't a 'stripped down' rental; it is our beloved 'SeaBiscuit' and it is charming! We have a terrific deck where everyone hangs out. It has white wicker furniture with free standing umbrella, a large octagonal picnic table with umbrella, a gas grill and a child gate. The backyard is just right for kids. We are children and dog lovers and welcome them!

The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood with ocean views off the deck, a beach you can walk to, and plenty of space. This was a great spot for walking our dogs and our kids to play. The owner and house manager were very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful Stay

We are an extended family who has been spending summers in Kennebunkport for over forty years. Sea Biscuit is a wonderful, well appointed, home that easily accommodates a large group comfortably. The porch has a lovely ocean view and is fabulous for early morning coffee and evening cocktails.

We loved our time at Seabiscuit. We were a group of 6 adults, one kid, and one baby. The home was very spacious and plenty of room for all of us. We loved the separate kid area for arts / crafts as well as the deck. The bedrooms are spacious. The neighborhood was perfect. Central and quiet.

Cozy New England Home in Great Location

We took an extended family trip this summer and had people ranging from age 1-70. The house has plenty of sitting space - including a kids “playroom” that was a huge hit. The deck has a lovely view of the ocean and there’s a nice grassy backyard to play in. Great location walkable to Colony Beach and a short drive into town. We loved our stay and would definitely rent again!

We loved Seabiscuit and the layout was perfect for our group. There is a fantastic playroom for the kids, a large dining area and the bedrooms and bathrooms are all well equipped and comfortable. We most enjoyed the wonderful porch and the stellar views. We easily walked into town from the property and the location was central to all of the beaches and activities. The owner and property manager were friendly, helpful and quick to respond. I highly recommend this property!

Great house in a beautiful location in Kennebunkport

This house was perfect for a family reunion of 6 adults and 4 kids. Beautiful spacious main floor and comfortable bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The kitchen was well equipped: lobster crackers for a dinner with 8 lobsters. Thoughtful supplies including beach chairs and beach toys. A great backyard for the kids to run around in. Great quiet neighborhood just down the street from the Bush compound.

A KPT gem, best neighborhood..

Great Framily stay at Seabiscuit, owners and property manager were all attentive, kind and really emphasized sharing this home for others to enjoy and be comfortable. Older home but all the Kennebunkport characteristics if you really appreciate this town, history as we do. The playroom/kids room was a saving grace for school work, reading time, dinner time and play. Deck was amazing and enjoyable although we were rained out most of the days it made for greater appreciation once we could utilize it.

Kennebunkport Comfort and Luxury

I rented this property for my family of 5 adults and two children. We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful and has been updated. There is a comfortable open floor plan and is well stocked with amenities. Its prime location is just a short walk to the ocean front and is a short drive to the shops and restaurants in the Port. The bedroom layout was perfect for my group. My son and his wife used the two bedrooms and one bath on the top floor as a suite for their family (the two of them plus their two daughters ages 6 and 3 1/2). My husband and I used the master bedroom which has a full bath and my daughter chose one of the other bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Her bath was roomy and there was a full size w/d off the bath. There are two more bedrooms on the 2nd floor so the house can sleep 2-4 more people. I couldn't have been more pleased with the location and condition of the property. The owner kept in contact with me leading up to my stay to make sure everything with the rental went smoothly. I can highly recommend her as a host and the property as a rental.

My Husband and I recently spent a long weekend at Seabiscuit. We are so thrilled to write this review because it is just the best place on earth to get away to. Large beautifully decorated rooms with high ceilings and views from every window. Just a short walk to Ocean Avenue, St Ann's Church(this weekend we were at the service with the Bush Family) The Colony where you can have cocktails and dinner and of course town is also within walking distance. No need to drive much from Seabiscuit's location. The home has everything you need. The sense of serenity in each room as the décor is the most beautiful we have ever been in. Sitting out on the deck with views of the ocean is a place you won't want to leave. Magnificent is the word we believe describes the patio with large comfortable furniture. We are planning on bringing our family in the fall for a birthday celebration. We can all stay together here and the beds and linens are luxurious as it is immaculate. We love Seabiscut and the owners are so very accommodating. S and C

Good location, bad communication

This house is in a great location with plenty of space. However, it is in a neighborhood where (apparently) the power frequently goes out. Around 9:45PM, we lost all electricity. The other houses in the neighborhood have a generator but this one does not. I was not able to get in touch with the owner of the home. Finally, I was able to get in touch with the property manager, but the property manager did not know anything about the electric company and was unable to help. I left the owner a number of messages but never heard back throughout the duration of our stay (which was multiple days). The power ultimately came back after midnight and after we had to call the police station to find the electricity company and report the outage. I understand that some things like losing power are out of owner's control, but I should have received a response back at any point throughout the long weekend.

The Sea Biscuit home is located just across the street from the ocean, is spacious and super close to downtown Kennebunkport. My family (6 adults) spent three nights here and didn't want to leave! Highly recommended if your planning on staying in this area.

Great location, nice property

We really enjoyed our stay at the Seabiscuit. It was a large family vacation and the house provided ample room for everyone, plus a nice outside deck and backyard for the kids. The house was clean and very well stocked. And the location was fantastic; right near the Bush compound with ocean views and not a far walk from the beach. It was easy to reach the owner and house manager as well. The house could use a few small updates, but overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to others.

Lovely house in great location

The house is lovely, and the host was very accessible and answered all of our questions promptly. We went on many long walks along the rocky coastline, and the nearest beach was only a 10 minute walk away. We could not easily walk to the village center, but that turned out to be for the best since there was often a lot of traffic in that area and we would not have wanted to stay too close to there. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely stay at this house again.

My husband's family has been coming to Kennebunkport for over 40 years. There is something about this area that does get into your soul! We wanted a home between The Colony Hotel and Walker's Point, President & Mrs. Bush's home, because this neighborhood is the best of everything-fabulous homes, not too busy, great for relaxing and star gazing and ocean views!

What makes this property unique

The Great Room in SeaBiscuit and the outdoor deck are absolutely amazing and we are crazy about this house in this neighborhood.
