FABULOUS HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

WOW... I can't say anything except WOW. This house had everything! From the incredibly fabulous view to a spacious house with gorgeous furniture. It was very well stocked with everything you didn't think to buy at the store plus more. The location was unique (a good unique) that was built around a lava flow with a small bluff facing the water. We saw turtles and dolphins every day , and had incredible sun rises. The location was a short drive south to the volcano park and warm springs areas, and north to Hilo and the waterfalls.

Blue Horizon, Pure Bliss

  • 5 of 5

The Blue Horizon, is a beautiful home, well stocked to meet everyones needs. The location off the black lava cliffs with its view from point to point off the lanai is spectacular! The design and decor is something to behold. I would come back again and again, in fact the family didn't want to leave this time! Mahalo, Peace and thanks. A.T.

Unique, beautiful home on the sea

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful, unique home on the lava cliffs. The house is beautifully furnished, with very comfortable beds and lovely leather furniture and huge television and incredibly well-equipped kitchen. I love the wood and marble. There is a lot of light, and even when it is rainy or stormy (quite often for us this time) the skies, the crashing of the huge waves, the warm air are all splendid. Many extras make life easy in this place: the beach towels and beach equipment; the DVDs and books, the shopping baskets; the tableware, the lovely floral arrangements and the many towels. We felt very at home and safe in the area. Right there one has the Beach walk, which provides incredible views; not far are the Botanical Gardens and the Volcanoes National Park and many other extraordinary venues. We like this side of the island better than the other, and one can drive to Kona without difficulty. We have been twice and hope to return.

Truly impressive!

  • 5 of 5

Beautifully presented and well proportioned home which is exceptionally well stocked for a family stay. We very much enjoyed eating breakfast and enjoying late afternoon drinks/nibbles on the large lanai. Very good value. Jamie was excellent in all matters relating to our 4-night stay. Would definitely recommend to friends!

Good stay in a nice house that needs some maintenance

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I plus our nephew and his wife had a good stay in this very beautiful house in a wonderful location. This has to be the most expensive rental we have ever had. The house is beautiful but it is amazing how quickly things start to fall apart when exposed to salt water and use as a rental. The master shower fell right off the wall due to corrosion the first day. The dishwasher did not work and the ice maker in the refrigerator had problems. We love the Hilo side of the Big Island and have stayed there many many times and expect to have some problems in homes where salt water corrodes and things happen in a rental. We reported problems to the rental agency who did their best to deal with them. The company managing this home should make sure that things are functioning and keep up on maintenance but of course on an island it is hard to get parts an make repairs quickly. Considering that the owners of this home have spent a lot of money on high end flooring, appliances, and lots of expensive upgrades one would wonder why they would want to expose such an expensive house to the use and possible abuse of renters. We treat every house we rent as if it were our own and take care to follow all rules and leave it in good condition when we depart. Investing in high end wood floors and custom stairs of African Mahogany is probably not a good idea if your are going to rent out your second home. I make very expensive custom wood furniture and I give all of my clients detailed instructions on how to take care of the functional art they purchase from me. We saw this house being built a few years ago and were surprised to see that we could rent it. We loved the house and staying in such a very nice home in such a beautiful location was very special treat.
