Three Night Summer Min!

A charming cottage in the heart of Union Pier with private beach access. Gables #5 is a cozy one bedroom one bath unit, with a surprising amount of light and openness. The common areas are on the main floor; galley kitchen, living room with sofa sleeper, dining area and reading nook. The bedroom is upstairs in a loft-like area, and has a full bed and full-size futon. There is a small outdoor patio out the back door of the unit. Walk to “Bud & Elsie’s Market”, “Timothy’s” restaurant, and a handful of other places in town. Located in Union Pier, a little over 2 blocks to the private beach, Gordon Beach.

Other things to note:

**All Guests required to sign and return our Guest Occupancy Agreement.

**Minimum age of 25 years old to rent.

**Maximum one car parking..

Adorable cottage! It’s a perfect place to stay and enjoy the area.

The cottage was comfy, cozy, and clean! A great place to stay for a small family to enjoy Lake Michigan and Warren Dunes! Also close to an Amtrak stop in New Buffalo. Hop on the train for a day trip into Chicago.

Charming lake cottage

Gable 5 is the perfect selection for a cozy, quiet, relaxing getaway. The Gordon Beach access is great for those who love Lake Michigan without the crowds.

Union Pier cottage

The property was very clean and just as described. We enjoyed walks on the beach and time relaxing the living area of the cottage. I would stay here again and hope for sunny weather!

Everything was great expect for trying to figure out the TV, 4 remotes is to many for us.

Loved it!

We had a great Labor Day getaway at this property. It is spotlessly clean and looks just like the photos. Check in was a breeze and it was nice to have so much info about the local area waiting for us. Would book again..

Lovely stay

We loved our stay. The cottage was very tidy and clean. The skylights make the space so light and airy. We found the steep, twisty stairs to the loft to be a bit challenging. For that reason only, we probably won’t stay in this exact cottage again. The private beach was amazing. It was well maintained, peaceful and beautiful. We hope to return to the neighborhood again.

Accuracy of property

In our email, it listed full bath and half bath.Our unit did nit have a half bath.We needed one.

Nowhere on the listing does this property says it has 1 1/2 baths. It is a one bedroom, one bath unit. They must have mixed up with another unit before booking.

Delightful cottage in beautiful neighborhood

We had a wonderful time at the cottage, which was perfect for our little family. Clean and well-kept inside, we had all the amenities we could have needed (including some we didn't necessarily expect, like fast internet!). We loved walking to the private beach each day, and going to the gelato shop (Izzy's Bean + Gelato) up the street each night. Check in and out was painless, and everything was clearly explained. We had a great visit and hope to be back in future summers!

Nice quiet rental property

The location was lovely. Nice landscaping. The only recommendation I would make would be to a railing at the curved portion of the stairs to the 2nd floor. The steps there are pie-shaped and if you have to go downstairs in the middle of the night, it could be a bit of a hazard. Otherwise, Clearly the community has plenty of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, etc. for the vacation crowd. Be advised though, it does get crowded on the weekend.

This is a neat, small cottage. We had the opportunity to look at it before we rented so we knew what we were getting. Good for 2 adults and a toddler. Beds are on second level up a steep almost ladder-like stairwell with no barrier at the top so absolutely would not be safe without a pack and play or similar or a makeshift barrier. Carpet and couch need very deep cleaning or replacement and furniture on back patio would be nice. Overall we were pleased with it but seeing it before was helpful. We also never used the kitchen.

Relaxing Sister Getaway

My sister and I escaped for a few days while my niece was at camp. Our expectations were exceeded and then some. Location was perfect. Cottage was spotless and so cozy. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and quick to answer any questions and help in any way. We are already planning when we want to return.

Great location

We have a small family of 3, and this was the perfect place near the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to grill and make all the meals we had planned. Perfect for walking to the beach!

From the website our perception was a stand alone cottage closer to the lake,however, we came to love our little retreat. Just right for a couple. We would come back again.

Little disappointing.

There wasn't the number 5 on cottage. Didn't know and 3 of us searching for the correct cottage. Microwave not working, slow drain in bathroom sink. Terrible sitting chairs outside. More for decoration than comfort. Bed pillows need to be replaced. Other than that it was ok

Not sure if guest was thinking of different property but the unit has always been clearly marked. Also microwave was brand new.
