Why Marion Fredman chose Dillon Beach
we love the beach and have a large family who also loves being at the beach...so this house is the fulfillment of a dream..
What makes this Bungalow unique
chosen as one of the primo settings on the coast--just gazing at the views is an astounding experience. Sitting in the warmth of the hot tub on days or nights when the ocean is roiling is a feeling that's hard to duplicate. the house is surrounded by a deck and overlooks a stretch of beach where endless sand meets rocky Sonoma coast.. and is feet away from the ocean front path used by many a deer. there are indoor and outdoor showers. the area is kid friendly with sand dunes a bit down the beach....and nice dogs are ok(no more than 2)...(this very dog friendly beach doesn't allow pit bulls.)

The most beautiful beach house and views out of this world!
I don’t have enough lovely things to say about this home and our time spent there! It was everything we needed to spend time together as a family and just enjoy the beautiful beach right in front of us! The home was so crunchy I loved it, from the tiled counters and blue walls with all the lovely art and books galore! The wrap around deck with a view from every place in the house was a huge plus! Our children three and two years didn’t want to leave! They enjoyed the beach toys and games, and of course the hot tub! I got to play the piano everyday we were there and at night we played board games and listened to the ocean. Sitting outside at night in the hot tub with the stars so close above us was magical! The kitchen had everything you could imagine to cook all your meals plus the gas grill on the deck! I was so inspired by all the art that we came home and painted a giant canvas and glued all the treasures we found on the beach to it and hung it in our family room! My teen boys said they will never forgot this vacation and we can’t wait to come back! Thank you Marion for your hospitality and sharing such a lovely place!
Beautiful Beach Gem
We had a great time at this beach house. It easily accommodated my family, which includes two young children. The house has lots of toys for the beach and plenty to use in the house as well. I honestly think you cannot get a better view of the beach than from this property. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and even got to watch some artists create amazing sand art on the beach right in front of the house. The large living space is open to the kitchen and dining area so it is really easy for a large group to eat/chat/visit together. We had a great time and will be visiting again!
Had another great family get-away at this funky, comfy house. Enjoyed the tiled kitchen with all the amenities, comfortable bedrooms, spectacular view from dining and living rooms, not to mention the wrap around deck and oh so lovely hot tub.
Now that we've stayed here twice, it's bound to be a tradition!
Incredible views, comfortable gathering place, inspiring artistic and creative space!
Wow!!! This home was perfect for our family gathering! 5 adults and 4 kids spent a blissful, love-filled weekend celebrating our Grammy's 70th birthday. We all left beaming with love and inspiration. The views couldn't be more breathtaking! The house was colorful and so creatively filled with handmade art. It was apparent that the owner and her family have had many fun and loving moments there over the years and their love radiated out of the walls into our family. Our kids were so happy playing ping pong, playing board games, exploring the beach, sledding the sand dunes, watching deer come through the property. The home itself had everything we needed to be comfortable and to cook many homemade meals. We gathered at the large table in front of the picture windows for sunset dinners. We made memories to last a lifetime. We were all sad to leave, but we will definitely be back! If you are looking for an authentic, down to earth, meaningful gathering place to connect with nature and loved ones, this is your place. I feel so grateful for this experience and so inspired to color my own life! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Marion!!
Delightful cabin, glorious view, wonderful vacation spot!
We had the sweetest, most wonderful visit at this lovely cabin over the weekend. Everything about the cabin was comfortable and welcoming. The decor was uplifting and charming. The view was breathtaking! And the quick walk down to the beach led us on many a beautiful stroll. We were beyond satisfied; we were delighted with this getaway, and we hope to return again.
A perfect stay in an amazing home situated on the bluffs over Dillon beach
A group of three small families with teens enjoyed the long weekend at Marion's place. It is a home of amazing creativity, whimsy (The tile countertops could have been inspired by Gaudi himself!) and warmth. The home's position on the bluff over the beach is perfect; we ate most meals out on the wraparound deck... from where one could see the beach for more miles. Access to the beach is only steps away -- and we used it to play, tan, read, catch fish (2 striped bass!), and stroll. The bedrooms were clean and spacious. The futon in the great room and the downstairs' daybeds allowed enough sleeping space for our group of 10. We spent our time outdoors, including sailing and biking, but noted that the pool table and ping pong table in the garage would have been a nice option if the weather had not been so glorious. The owner and her local contact responded to two calls seeking clarification quickly, and with the exact information we needed. With all we did during the day, we were often too tired to hot tub... however, a few of those who did partake said that it was clean, warm and certainly well-positioned to take in the amazing view. Wonderful memories have been made at this house (as is evident by the photos on the walls). We made some wonderful ones of our own that we will hold dear forever. We offer to Marion our heartfelt thanks for creating such a fabulous place... and offering it to rent to others. We certainly hope to be back!
