Wonderful host, all thing quaint!
Loved our little cottage! Perfect for two couples the layout is perfect- the one bathroom is doable as you know ahead of time to schedule its use. Worked for us. Walked to the downtown most of the time. Would recommend this house.
Am delighted they all had a good time in our little town, as these are very sophisticated, well-traveled folks. We're honored to have hosted them.
Best vacation ever
Lovely owner who went above and beyond to orient us to the area. Great home with all the electronics we needed. Location walking distance from spas, galleries and great food. Very short drive to wineries.
Awesome all around
Adele is really organized and makes trip planning easy. After we booked, she reached out with a list of restaurants that were closeby and other things to do. She was always responsive an thoughtful in her responses as questions came up ahead of the trip as well. Once we arrived, we got in a pretty bad bind based on poor planning. Adele went out of her way to help us, and for that, she’s created a forever friend.
We stayed as two couples in the house and it worked. The house is walkable downtown and very close to wineries. Download “ride the vine” when in town and you can get a free shuttle throughout Calistoga.
A memorable stay
Adele is a personable lady who loves this area and has lots of enthusiasm for all that it has to offer. She is close by, easily contacted, and wants her guests happy, snd does not disturb them unless asked. Just ask for what you want and she will gladly do her best to get it for you. We needed more towels, a cutting board and a potato peeler, and she even went out and bought a new peeler for us.
The home itself has lots of character and very comfortable beds and pillows. The kitchen was adequate, we didn’t use it for cooking meals, it is not equipped to be used in that fashion.
The tub is claw foot tub, very cool. The shower is in that tub also and there were no grab bars to climb in and out so a bit risky for my husband who has a bad knee and ankle. The rest of our party had no problem climbing in and out. All and all, many special memories of the beautiful wine country of California. Thank you Adele!
Quaint little duplex
Great place to stay and visit wineries in Napa!
charming and efficient
Very quaint, decorated very comfortably inside. If you are planning to cook meals, this may not be the place for your vacation. We cooked a few breakfasts in the small, sparsely furnished kitchen, so it is doable. If you are only needing a place for a continental bkft/wine/appetizers, then this is perfect! Not many people want to cook on vacation:) The price is very good for a home that sleeps 5 and is in close proximity to the whole napa/sonoma valley wineries.
Many thanks for your observations. Before guests arrive, I mention the kitchen is not a big family type sit-down kitchen. It has a stove, microwave, dishwasher, pots and pans, and complete dinnerware and silverware for six. If our guests had mentioned they needed a special item, we would certainly have tried to accommodate. At any rate, I hope they had a pleasant time.
