Custom-built mountain cottage w/ hot tub & heated floors

**NOTE: Due to Hurricane Helene, Asheville and greater Western North Carolina have experienced historic damage. We are so lucky to say that the cottage was not damaged in the storm, and roads to and from are cleared and open. Power is on (hooray- heated floors!), cell signal/internet and drinking water have all been restored. Come show Asheville some love!**

Whether you want to sample the 30+ local breweries, explore the Blue Ridge Parkway, or enjoy amazing restaurants and shopping in downtown Asheville, this studio cottage will be a quiet retreat for when you return.

We designed and built this cottage as a passion project. Quiet, simplistic, and elegant, we hope you will enjoy the special touches we built into the property: wall-to-wall radiant flooring, skylights, various lighting options, and a private hot tub with a mountain view.

The sleeping area is set up with a new Nectar Sleep queen bed. Spacious closet with built-in shelving is waiting when you are ready to get settled. Attached to the sleeping area is a sun-filled, full bath with a step-in shower, featuring both rainfall and standard shower heads.

There is a full laundry room with a stacked washer and dryer, laundry detergent is provided. Also available is an iron and ironing board.

Because the cottage is a studio, the living area and kitchen area lead into one another making the floor plan open and intimate. There is cable and high speed wi-fi internet.

The kitchen is spacious and contains an electric stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and fridge. There are an assortment of utensils and cooking equipment at your disposal. Plates, bowls, and utensils are also supplied, along with a coffee maker, locally-roasted coffee, and some teas.

There is a small outdoor sitting area overlooking the property, accessible by the front door. A privacy fence provides some added space and seclusion, but won't keep you from seeing the wild turkeys, hawks, and deer. There is also a Solo Stove Bonfire for your use upon request. Walking around the side of the house, you will find the hot tub, which is thoroughly cleaned after every guest.

Please note:
The cottage property is semi-private, you will pass another home when you head up the private drive.

Great weekend in Asheville!

The little place is just perfect for some time away. Close enough to all the things to keep you busy if you want that, and away enough from the hustle to help you really unplug and rest. We loved how the cottage was designed to truly make you feel like you're outdoors when you’re inside. Beautiful finishes, and such a great place to stay. Superb hosts!

Clean and Peaceful

If you want a quiet spot but still close to downtown Asheville then this is the place for you. My husband and I spent the weekend here and couldn’t wait to get back to the rental at night to soak the night away in the Hot Tub. Super clean and it had everything you needed.

Beautiful Cottage!

My husband and I stayed at this property. It is new construction, so very clean and comfortable! The owners were very kind and provided us recommendations on restaurants and activities based on our preferences. This was the most relaxing vacation we have had in years and highly recommend staying in this cottage!

Great Stay

Perfect Birthday Escape

I booked this property to celebrate my birthday. I wanted to escape the hustle and bustle and slow down and the home provided just that. I especially enjoyed the numerous house plants as I’m a plant dad so that was a double plus for me. I would definitely stay here again and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. The owners of this property know what people want when they stay at a cabin in the mountains. It had everything and was well build ant so cozy. I have 0 complaints and would recommend this to any couple that wants to get away for a trip to the Asheville area. The pictures don’t do this place Justice because it’s much more beautiful than you’d expect.

Just what we needed.

This was by far the cutest place ever. It had everything we needed and more. All of the small details added so much character. The picture that you can only see from the bathroom mirror. The sky light windows were so cute. The hot tub had to be the best part for us. It’s so relaxing and peaceful out there. It was my fiancé’s birthday and we just wanted a quiet and relaxing get away from the everyday responsibilities. We will absolutely be staying again. I highly recommend this home.

Perfect Cozy Getaway

Absolutely fell in love with this cottage! Perfect distance to downtown without being surrounded by people. Also far enough outside of the city you are surrounded by nature, and on the way to great hikes further north. The cottage itself was very quaint and perfect for two people! The cottage was well kept and has everything you need, and looks exactly like the photos. Also, the couple who owns this cottage built it themselves, and you can definitely feel the love! 100% would stay here again on my next trip to Asheville!

We're Nicholas & Lianne! Nicholas has lived in Asheville for 22 years, and Lianne for 10. When we're not working, we enjoy western North Carolina's incredible hiking, kayaking, live music, beers and food. We are both so passionate about Asheville and the greater area of Western North Carolina, and we truly love getting to share it with visitors!

We both enjoyed living downtown for several years, but having this 3-acre property has given us peace and quiet, while being within close proximity to everything Asheville has to offer.

Asheville provides a variety of activities from hiking, mountain climbing, shopping, antiquing, river floats, brewery tours, art walks, and amazing restaurant tastings. The cottage is also situated close to historic, ever-resilient Marshall and quaint Weaverville, both offering their own unique mountain charm and variety of activities.

Nicholas designed the cottage in 2020, and brought his designs to life in 2021 (with help from Lianne and talented local friends). This house was a true labor of love, and we hope the creativity, thoughtfulness, and quality craftsmanship shows. The cottage will surely enhance your visit to this breathtaking part of the country.
