What a beautiful experience. Mr. Karl and his wife have spared no expense to create a wonderfully user-friendly and comfortable stay. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness provided every possible luxury away-from-home, which was so much appreciated. Ample and clearly marked parking with motion sensor lighting led the way to the front door, which was easily accessed with code. The WiFi worked like a charm. The entire cottage was immaculately clean, and fully stocked with all needs and essentials. The beds were super comfortable with soft linens and bedding, allowing for restful sleep. The outdoor space was darling with a koi pond, gazebo with eating/grilling area, and plenty of comfy seating around a stocked firepit. We will not hesitate to book this accommodation again, as it was such a joy to spend time at. Truly a hidden gem tucked away in the Asheville Mountains, yet easy and close to get to where you want to go.

I am a retired landscape professional. I am an instructor in life protection arts for many years and currently teach from my dojo on our property. My wife and I enjoy traveling worldwide.

Why they chose this property

I have lived on this beautiful property since 1973. My family moved to the area when I was 11 years old. It started as 8 acres. Over the years my family divested 6 acres and reduced our space to just 2 acres of prime natural living.

In 2012, I acquired the property in the passing of my mother. It was only after 10 years I realized that I had the space and idea spot to provide a vacation rental. Our fully remodeled cottage offers state-of-the-art amenities and lots of space to feel free. Our homestead is a place of peace, natural serenity and great privacy while being super safe and secure.

We truly love living within the Pisgah National Forest boundaries, sharing with nature. Wildlife frequently ventures right through our property! We are blessed with great views of the mountains from our little rise in the valley.

It gives my wife and I great pleasure to share our blessing with ours in their vacation experience. Come see what is so special to us!

What makes this property unique

We are very local to everything Asheville, Hendersonville and Brevard. Breweries, restaurants, outlet center, hiking trails, waterfalls, bike trails, river tubing, kayaking and more.

Our place is located rurally, yet just minutes to local towns and cities mentioned above. The property is situated on a private tract separated from the road by wooded areas, giving a sense of oasis. The views are awesome! Enjoy our outdoor space! The garden pond with goldfish captures the attention of adults and children alike. A large fire-pit area has been the highlight of many guest stays. Our property has been a haven for numerous variety of wildlife, namely our two white squirrels. They seem to perform for guests early in the sunny mornings foraging around. And yes, we do have deer, raccoon and occasional bear visits. Coexisting with nature does come with living in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.
