Maria's camp was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. Everything was spotless and the care that went into the property was evident. It is convenient to nearby towns but our family mostly stayed to enjoy the lake, which was quiet and clean. We have been coming to Maine for a few years now and this cabin was the perfect setting for a relaxing, lakeside retreat.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review.
We're so happy you chose to stay at our "Camp" and enjoyed your get-away!
We had such an enjoyable 2 weeks at this cabin. All the special touches made it one of our best Maine lake vacations. The hosts thought of everything, from indoor and outdoor kitchens to floats, kayaks and fishing gear. Honestly, we could have flown to Portland with one suitcase each because everything was provided! We most enjoyed sitting on that wonderful porch and imagining all the family fun that’s been shared there. This is a place with something for every age. Bob and Maria were fabulous hosts and we returned home rested and refreshed.

Thank you so much for choosing our "camp" for your stay.
We are so happy you enjoyed yourself! Hope you can come again!!!
A truly wonderful place. We really enjoyed the screened in porch, dock, the variety of boats, and the lake!!! The kitchen is very well equipped with new and useful utensils. The knotty pine interior speaks to classic Maine cottages, and all the furniture - apparently made by the owner - are exquisite. One thing older or disabled renters need to be aware: the bedrooms are upstairs, and going to the bathroom or kitchen from there requires walking down a winding staircase. We needed to ask something of the owner, and she was quick and helpful to respond. A great stay.

Thank you for choosing our cottage for your vacation and taking the time to leave a review!
We truly enjoyed having you, Maria and Bob
This camp has it all - relaxing accommodations, plenty of water related and shore side activities to keep the whole family occupied. The kitchen and living areas are outfitted with the necessary equipment just like what you would have at home. The hosts have thought of everything you’ll need for a pleasant stay. One service that isn’t mention in any of the reviews or description is a fantastic outdoor sheltered chef’s kitchen (grill & cooktop) which we used several times to ease meal prep. The separate floor locations for sleeping and bathroom facilities would be of concern to older tenants. The communication with the host was superb. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

About the host

We have loved our place here on Hobbs Pond for almost thirty years! This is our very first time renting it and we hope that you love and care for it just as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
We love Hobbs Pond, and dreamed of a place here. We looked for quite a while for something to come up for sale and were so excited when this lot became available (almost 30 years ago!). It is so beautiful and peaceful. It is only a short drive to the Camden Harbor and all that the mid-coast has to offer, but yet you feel a world away when you are here!
What makes this property unique
My husband built the house, garage and shed and all the custom cabinetry inside! We have a couple kayaks, canoe, water mat, swim float, life jackets, and for those rainy days: games and dvd's. Our favorite place in the evening is sitting around the firepit!
