Great house in the heart of Sconset. Nicely appointed with many recent updates.
Great house in great condition. A/C is rarely needed in Sconset but was a nice addition on our arrival day. Updated bathrooms and good sized bedrooms. Nice little patio for relaxing and working the BBQ.
Washer/Dryer and dishwasher in good shape.
House feels bigger than it is.
we really enjoyed the home
Quaint, deceptively spacious and updated cottage in the middle of Sconset Village
My family rented this cottage this summer. We love it there and would recommend it to any family with children. The cottage is right in the middle of the village and despite the roads and houses being so close together, it was remarkably quiet. The garden across the way (part of the owner's property) was an added bonus as we grilled some nights and sat outside in the perfect weather. The cottage itself had all the modern amenities and we found the two full bathrooms to be very convenient with two pre-teen boys who love to play in the sand. The owner has renovated the majority of the historic cottage and has done a really lovely job.
LOVELY PLACE JUST LIKE HOME
Last summer we enjoyed amazing vacation at this home and we did not even search for another option when we booked our vacation this year. We felt right at home.
Perfect location. Two minutes walking distance from Sconset Market, the Café and a beautiful beach perfectly safe for children with seals just swimming around.
The owners are delighthful and very helpful.
We can't wait to come back next summer.
Charming, quintessential Sconset cottage
This property is beautifully maintained and the owner is easily accessible and very responsive. The village is lovely, with a local beach, a small market and several excellent restaurants.
It is an ideal place for children (of all ages). We will absolutely be back next summer.
ADORABLE PLACE IN A PERFECT LOCATION!
Even better than anticipated. This rental was clean and beautifully maintained. Owners were available and ready to accommodate every need.
The house is spacious and perfectly equipped.
A general store and small cafe are within easy walking distance, as is a gorgeous wavy beach. Perfect for people like us, who travel with a toddler and a newborn.
Hope to go back as soon as possible.
Nantucket Island is located 30 miles out to sea from the town of Hyannis on Cape Cod. The historic village of 'Sconset on the eastern end of the island was originally where the fishermen would harpoon whales from the shore, jump in their boats and go for a 'Nantucket Sleigh Ride'. This lovely village, where time has stood still, has 4 restaurants, a liquor store, grocery store, art gallery, the Siasconset Casino has tennis courts that can be used by visitors during the midday (tennis whites are mandatory) and shows movies 2 nights a week. Visitors enjoy strolling the narrow streets, smelling the fragrant roses, photographing the quaint houses and even setting up easels to spend days painting. The beach is a five minute walk from the house and has on duty life guards. Families picnic on the beach and can enjoy early morning coffee watching the sunrise, as well as an evening stroll. The Historic Town of Nantucket is 7 miles away and can be reached by car or public transportation and it also boasts museums, shopping and public library and a lovely children's beach with daily entertainment. A renovated movie theater and an active acting community that produces plays all summer long are in town as well. Both 'Sconset and the Town of Nantucket have an active night life with dining and live music. For golfing enthusiasts the Miacomet GC located 11 miles away on the western end of the island was voted the #1 public course in New England and the top 5 in the country 2013.
Lastly the island has lovely beaches which are not crowded where one can swim, surf, fish or simply fly a kite while enjoying the fresh air
