Our unit is on the mauka (toward the mountains) side of the complex. It is an end unit that keeps it bright due the extra side window. Its location is particularly quiet because it is protected from the the noise of South Kihei Road and any festivities in the pool area. It also stays cool and airy from the tradewinds.

Make this the launching point for your Maui adventures. Kihei has a wealth of options from snorkeling and fishing to shopping and local dining. A short drive south will find you on Wailea’s winding streets, surround by golf courses, upscale shopping and restaurants. Short trips in other directions will take you to the nightlife in Lahaina, world renowned North Shore wind/kite surfing or mountainous hiking full of waterfalls. Return home to relax in the cozy comfort of our Kihei Bay Surf condo!

Why Nettie or Candace Kelly chose South Maui

We have stayed in many units at Kihei Bay Surf, but this is our favorite because of its quiet, protected location. The previous owner became a friend, and we are pleased to carry on her tradition of providing a comfortable and convenient way for travelers to visit Maui.

What makes this condo unique

We love the central location that allows us to reach both north and south shore kiting in a matter of minutes. The complex is extremely well maintained and the condo is comfortable and well-equipped.

Excellent Stay for Enjoying Maui

I thought this place was perfect for what my family needed. Well priced and conveniently located so that all parts of the island could be accessed and enjoyed. The amenities were just enough for us and nothing more than needed. The unit is located on the first floor near parking which was nice for my family to wake up early and hit the road for exploring Maui. Would stay again!

Nice unit, location and great value if not for the roaches

The good: The unit is in a great part of Maui - very convenient to beaches and food and the airport. It has all the basics and then some (beach chairs and towels and more). We really appreciated all these extras. It was also a great value and the owners are very friendly and easy to communicate with!

The bad: While, the unit itself is a bit dated, that was not a deal breaker. What was really concerning were the roaches that would come out at night in the bathroom and the kitchen. We kept everything really clean and made sure no food/waste was ever out in the open, but there were still roaches, which made me a bit paranoid. If the roaches were not present, it would have been much better.

Owner's Response: I am so sorry you experienced roaches in our unit! Although insects are ever-present in tropical climes, the wet winter in Maui this year seems to have increased their numbers. We are addressing this problem in a couple of ways: 1) The complex does consistent maintenance to protect against insects and pests. We've asked that our unit be exterminated ASAP. 2) As a part of this routine maintenance, the complex will be undergoing full tenting this month (June 2017) which should address insect problems. 3) In our individual unit, we will be deploying "roach motels" to address any remaining issue.

Overall Ok.....

The Good: Bed and sofa was comfy. The bathroom and other amenities like beach chairs and umbrella were great.

The Bad: This rental does have roaches which means i'll have to leave my suitcase in our garage for a week or more and hope none of them came back with us. If this was known I may have rented some thing else. The refrigerator never got cold enough even at the lowest setting.

Hope this helps other make correct decision.

I am surprised to hear that you experienced roaches as I have never seen a roach in all the time I have spent there. The complex does consistent maintenance to protect against insects and pests. As for the refrigerator, its always helpful to report something like this during your stay. When it was reported to me, we were able to have a handy-man in the same day for repair. It is now repaired and keeping things cool.

Perfect condo in Kiehi!

This was our first trip to Maui and this location is PERFECT! Such a quaint, clean condo in a great part of Kihei! We absolutely loved our location. The place has all the things you'll need and it's centrally located to some gems! We definitely will be back !!!

lots of light and on ground floor

really enjoyed are stay good location nice bright room loved being on the ground level south kihei road is very busy but we were far enough away so the traffic did not bother us close to airport Costco and safeway and many restaurants go to nalus on Thursday nights for good entertainment and maui coast hotel beach bar on Tuesday for a great two man band
