Healing and Just So Amazing

  • 5 of 5

Walking inside this cabin, you just feel the comfort come over you. We were here for 4 days and we both left feeling like different people. Very close to town but tucked away to feel peace and quiet. Just minutes to the beach, and we rode our bikes everywhere. There's WiFi if you need it, outdoor fun, a nice stereo for music while you're cooking, games, blankets for outside, and just about every amenity you could want. Brian and Melissa were delightful! Everything was very easy from start to finish. Thank you again'

Needs quite a bit of work

  • 2 of 5

Although most of the inside was ok, the outside was a complete shamble and I had to clean the house when I got there. Extension cords to plug things in where not routed around windows, instead they hung right in front or across them, there were webs everywhere, I had to clean every window inside and out. The owner said that cleaning service was included, in my opinion he needs to find a new service.

Some of the inside has been remodeled, and I will say that the guest bathroom shower is wonderful, but the master is so small we didn't even use it.

On the outside, the siding is in terrible shape, I was embarrassed when we pulled up with our out of the country guest. The vents leading to under the house where all missing, and instead of replacing them, there where pillows or mattresses or a piece of wood shoved into them to prevent varmints from going under the house. There has clearly been a bear issue in the past as evidenced by the scratch marks on the laundry room door, however the house is not bear proofed in any way. there is a French door that while pretty during the day, should have some other heavier door to reinforce it at night. There was a bear on the porch on our last night, and my children where with us.

Lastly the beds were extremely uncomfortable, we didn't sleep well for the entire stay.

I would rent this house again because we simply tried not to be there during the day much, but only if it was my last/ only option.

Quiet and convenient getaway

  • 4 of 5

Darling rustic and classic Tahoe cabin! Quiet location for R&R, the convenience of Sunnyside area restaurants for local atmosphere and nightlife, while still close enough to Tahoe City and all the local West Shore ski resorts.

Don't let the Rustic Outside fool you!

Inside is a newly remodel with the most comfortable beds you have slept in...

Loved the outside deck with ultimate privacy! New BBQ and patio furniture

A plus to Brian and Melissa.

We'll be back!

Cozy cabin

  • 5 of 5

This was a prefect location for us. Place was cold when we arrived (late at night) but the fireplace did a great job of warming the cabin and the space heater in the bedroom were appreciated.

Definitely rustic (not modern), but comfortable with everything we needed for a weekend in the slopes.

Thanks Brian!
