Located in a quiet alley a few blocks from our city's beautiful waterfront parks and a 5 minute walk from the restaurants, museums, cafès, bars, museums and galleries on Beach Drive.

Idyllic 1-2 person retreat exudes a pared back simplicity with an emphasis on materials, textures, warm, earthy colors, and thoughtfully curated amenities to elevate your experience and enhance your sense well-being!

Note: Previous reviews may reference 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, but the current setup is a 1-bedroom, 1-bath home. Two small bedrooms have been combined into one large bedroom, and all the living space is now upstairs, with the downstairs serving as the entryway and laundry area. Thank you for your interest!

Your home away from home is just steps from St. Petersburg's popular Beach Drive which anchors downtown shopping, dining, and entertainment districts.

The St. Pete Pier is a must see while you are visiting! It is a 13 minute walk or a 3 minute drive to the pier from our home. If you prefer to rent a bike or scooter, it takes about 4 minutes to arrive at the Pier. *Parking can be challenging so I would not recommend driving to the Pier.

We are only a 15-20 minute drive from The Gulf of Mexico and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Our lovely home offers an authentic taste of what St. Pete has to offer right outside your door.

Perfect place to escape. Beautifully decorated above garage home. Stocked with everything we needed. Walking distance to lots of things to do and enjoy. Hosts are easy to to contact and communicate with. Cant wait to return next year!

Highly recommend! I was in town for 2 nights for a medical class. My husband traveled with me and we found this accommodation to be fantastic. Quick trip to Florida for event

The place was even better in person and owners so helpful and friendly. Right in the middle of everything. We loved downtown St Pete. The VRBO is downtown in this cute little tree lined street neighborhood. Close to all shops and restaurants, Tampa, the beach, everything. We will be back!!! Thank you for the great stay!!! The aesthetic is bohemian chic, stylish and super comfortable. Shower and bed are great!!!

Perfect location; easy walking distance to all St. Pete offers as well as easy access to highways.

Property was exactly as described and my wife was extremely comfortable staying there for our vacation week. The location is in a charming and quiet section of St. Pete where you will feel comfortable walking at any time day or night. Easy parking and access to highways that lead to The beach, airport, Tampa and Sarasota. As mentioned in previous reviews, the master bedroom bed will seem smaller if u are used to a king like we are, so u will just have to cuddle with your partner The owners are responsive, and assure ur privacy unless you need or ask for something.

Swim meet escape

We were in town for my daughter’s 4 day swim meet at the North Shore Aquatics Center. This little property could not have been more perfect for the two of us. It was exactly as you see in the photos and even better! Immaculately, clean, perfectly appointed and every bit of what was advertised. The mattress was perfection (I want to know where the owners purchased it!) We would stay here again and again! Perfect location!

My wife and I stayed at the Wave House from March 17th to March 30th, 2017. We had a wonderful experience - the Wave House gets a lot of sunlight and feels bigger than it appears on the website because of the high ceilings. It is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and Tania is very responsive to any questions you may have. It is an easy walk to restaurants and shops. It is also very quiet at night which helps if you are a light sleeper. We would stay there again without any hesitation.

My wife and I have stayed at the Wave House several times. The apartment is very light - it has windows on all four sides and gets a lot of sun. It is very well equipped throughout, in particular the kitchen, bathroom and the excellent washer and dryer. In addition it is quiet and in excellent condition. The location could not be better - it is a short walk to both the shops and restaurants and to the park by the Bay. Tania (The owner) responds promptly to any requests or questions we have had. In summary I highly recommend this apartment.

We stayed at the Wave House for Race weekend in March. The neighborhood is wonderful-lots of vintage charm, very quiet and very safe. The house is within a 10-15 minute walk to good resturants, parks and the waterfront. Tania is an excellent host, the house is comfortable, spotless, well stocked and nicely furnished. The galley kitchen is stocked with utensils & cooking basics. We really appreciated off street parking and the private patio area. All supplies are eco friendly. Tania is highly responsive to questions and provides detailed information & recommendations. The wave house is the perfect location to enjoy beautiful St Pete.

Didn't want to leave!

Tania’s place is even more comfortable and “livable” than the photos suggest. The upstairs where the bedrooms, kitchen and one of the bathrooms are located is especially light filled and welcoming. We especially appreciated the ample closet space, comfortable bed and the full size washer/ dryer. The place is private and in a wonderful location with an easy walk to downtown, neighborhood coffee shops etc. Her overview description is accurate! Tania was so helpful and responsive to our questions. We loved our time on their “alley”. It was a wonderful introduction to the neighborhood and St.Petersburg. Thank you Tania & Ben!

Perfect Thanksgiving stay!

This very well-kept house lives bigger than its footprint. Tania has furnished it very nicely; furniture is comfortable, colors are calming, and there is everything in the kitchen one might need on vacation. Light streams in when wanted. Having two good showers is a plus, for sure. In addition, the location is wonderful. It is about five blocks to the walking/biking path along Tampa Bay, two blocks to two different delicious coffee shops, and not much more to St. Petersburg's museums, some nice shopping, and some excellent restaurants. The neighborhood is full of interesting older and new houses. And, it isn't a long drive to beautiful beaches. Tania was responsive to questions (though once we were there, the instructions she provides and the thoughtfulness of the furnishings meant we didn't need help). Booking was quick; directions were thorough. We were in town for Thanksgiving with some family, and this was the perfect place to have some 'alone' time as well. I can't think of a downside to the Wave House. I hope to return soon.

Excellent home base for a trip to St. Petersburg, FL

This place was perfect for our trip. We were working remotely, and there was plenty of space to set up to do so. Once the work was done, we were within walking distance to Vinoy Park, restaurants, shops and museums. The layout of the property is really nice with room in the basement for yoga and watching tv, 2 bathrooms and laundry! The owners are super nice and friendly. We enjoyed our time in St. Pete and really felt like guests, not VRBO renters. We were there for 5 weeks and didn't want to leave!

Everything was great

The location is terrific. A five minute walk through a leafy, quiet neighborhood and you're on Beach Drive with a marina, parks, restaurants, bars, museums. The apartment had everything we needed. Tanya was always available and parking was easy in the alley behind the house. We would happily come back.

Very nice, clean and convenient place. It is in a great location and walking distance to the water, great restaurants and shops. We have been to St. Petersburg many times and would definitely stay here again. Tania was awesome and very responsive to our needs changes we had!

Wonderful location

Very clean, attractive place with well-appointed kitchen. It was nice to have a large closet in each bedroom, and to have 2 full bathrooms and a washer and dryer. The stairs were steep. The location was ideal- in the charming northeast area and only a few short blocks to Beach Drive and only a block to catch the Looper. The owner was responsive to my communications.

We had a very nice stay in the Bayside Abode.

The Bayside Abode is in an excellent location to walk to downtown St. Petersburg. The apartment is much nicer than portrayed in the pictures and having a second bathroom and a separated lower level living space was a plus. Highly recommended for anyone visiting St. Petersburg.

Location, location, location

This was a solid and comfortable property for three friends traveling together and would recommend. The location is amazing if you are looking to stay very near to downtown yet in a quiet location. Check in was easy and the host was responsive and personable.

Great location for downtown St Pete

Comfortable space, lots of light, very clean, private. Location is in a residential area within reasonable walking distance to restaurants, shops, parks, museums, performances, movies, etc. Publix, art district/antiques/books, Tropicana Field are only a short drive (a few miles at most). Our second stay at this property, hope to visit again soon.

Perfect getaway in a great neighborhood!

My husband and I were in town for a short trip and this place couldn’t have been better. Though we really enjoyed our first trip to St. Petersburg, our favorite part was staying in this neighborhood. Just wandering around the streets was fun, but also walking distance to the water. The house had everything we needed. Tania was responsive and helpful. Would certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

We made St. Petersburg our home in 2014 to do just that. We hope you will find your time here in St. Pete full of simple pleasures and wonderful experiences.

Why they chose this property

If you believe in serendipity you'll love this story! We stayed at the Vinoy Hotel in 2014 and fell in love with this area, in particular our neighborhood, The Old Northeast. The laid back lifestyle, the stunning waters of the Gulf of Mexico, the Tampa Bay Waterfront, and the sense of community are just a few of the qualities that we love in our city. In the Summer of 2013 we decided to rent a home to see if we could live here. We knew almost immediately we would make St. Pete our home sooner than later. A few months after returning home to Orlando, we enlisted the help of a wonderful realtor. We told her we wanted a small home, with outdoor space, and a garage apartment. The hard part was that we had fallen in love with the location of the home we had rented that Summer. The proximity to every place we loved was ideal for our family. We basically gave our realtor a very small area in which to find us a home. As fate would have it, we ended up purchasing the home right next door to the home we had rented in the Summer. Perfect home in a perfect location!

What makes this property unique

We love our home and the garage apartment. Not only are they both warm and welcoming with with so many details considered, nothing beats walking out of your door and being able to walk everywhere. Walking outside the door and down the street and seeing a view of the Bay is priceless. We are most certainly 'HOME' and we are sure you will feel the same way during your stay!
