5 bedrooms and 3 bath house with inground private pool

Owner managed. Large classic beach cottage only 90 steps to the beach and only 20 minutes to beautiful downtown Charleston! This home has a large private pool and fenced in backyard for privacy.

Spacious living & dining areas to accommodate all your friends & family. In addition there are 2 screened in porches (1st floor and 2nd floor) for relaxing or entertaining. There is a fully equipped kitchen with 2 dining areas; 1 located in the Kitchen and another in the Dining room off the Kitchen.

There are 3 Full Baths, 2 King bedrooms; 1 has a Daybed and both have TV's, 2 Queen bedrooms; 1 with TV, and 1 bedroom with 2 Twin beds. We also have a Queen Sleeper Sofa on the main floor and a Pack N Play available as well.

There is a large family room that has view of the pool that has additional dining/entertaining/game playing area including flat screen TV, dining table, bar & bar stools. Cable TV, Wi-Fi & secure internet included.

The outdoor area includes more dining space (2 large tables & chairs) for al fresco dining, 2 BBQ's; 1 Gas and 1 Charcoal, multiple loungers for pool area including 3 large Bench Loungers that can accommodate multiple people. Large size Jenga game too! There is also a small playground to keep the little ones active.

We have 2 large screened in porches for additional relaxing or entertaining (1 on the main floor, the 2nd is located on 2nd floor).

Separate building has workout equipment (Elliptical, bench, and Nautilus weight stack), and new (June 2016) washer & dryer for your convenience.

Why Kathy Jahn chose Charleston Area

When we first came to Charleston we fell in love with Isle of Palms! This area has everything we were looking for...close to beach, 15-20 minutes to beautiful downtown Charleston, & super easy Airport access. When we started looking for property on IOP we focused on the South end of the island since its quieter and has a low key ambiance and walking distance to the village with restaurants, shops & entertainment (if you like a good music venue don't miss The Windjammer). The beach is quieter too but still close to all the action (I.e., Coconut Joe's, Windjammer, etc.)

What makes this house unique

We fell for the fantastic location first but love the 'beachy' feel of the house, and the fantastic outdoor pool & entertainment area!

The pool and the location were great. The houseI lacked some important things for a family

The house accomodates 13 people, yet there is no place that the family can eat together in

one room. The rooms are small so there is no gathering place for the family to sit around and

enjoy each other. The upstairs porch is great, but it is a longg way from the kitchen and was not used much. The downstairs porch needs a lot of work and mosquitos were so bad that we could not use it much. One big thing is that there are 5 bedrooms upstairs (which were fine..very nice) but only 2 bathrooms. There were also only 9 spoons in the house! The washer and dryer are not in the house, but out in a small building which was not clean at all. We could not let our clean clothes touch anything and it was inconvenient to go out there at night because there was a huge rat in the yard that we saw every day. All this would have been fine if the price did not seem out of line with the house. I have not wanted to review this house because the owner was very accomodating and I don't want to be critical but you keep asking me and I need to be honest. We would not go back to this house. We do love the Isle of Palms

Owner's Response: Pam, thank you for your feedback, it's the only way we can address issues and make improvements. So although I was deeply disappointed to read your comments, I really appreciate it. I'm very sorry the laundry room was not cleaned and I have addressed this for the future. More spoons have been added to the kitchen and a call to our Terminex friends took care of the "unwanted visitor" in the yard. I'm also sorry to hear that the layout of the house did not fit your families needs, although I do feel the layout and seating is fairly and accurately depicted on the website. Charming, spacious home away from home with all the right stuff..

Our small group of old friends having a nursing school reunion found this property to have everything anyone needs to make their stay on the IOP just beachy keen. The pool, the location near the beach, as well as convenient to anything you need or want, the especially charming decor, all contributed to our comfort and ease for the week. We could have invited so many more to fill it up but it was "just right" for us and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Just a joke for the owner; not enough ceiling fans! (Some rooms had 3 and 4)

Perfect beach house

We loved our time at the house. We had 5 kids under 6 and 6 adults. Everyone had space to enjoy and have fun. Well equipped kitchen and pool/beach gear. A quick walk to the beach and a great pool/lounge area for time at the house.

Also great that we were walking distance to restaurants, ice cream, and shops!!

Large classic beach cottage only 90 steps to the beach! This home has a large private pool and fenced in backyard for privacy. All new kitchen appliances (Jan 2015) and the entire interior is newly painted (Jan 2015). Spacious living & dining areas to accommodate all your friends/family. In addition there are 2 screened in porches (1st floor and 2nd floor) for relaxing or entertaining. Short five minute walk to the village with restaurants (fine dining to casual to ice cream), shops, and beach rentals available for umbrellas, chairs, bikes, paddleboards, and surfboards. If needed, we have RV and or boat storage in front fenced area. This house typically rents Sunday to Sunday during the high season to accommodate guests coming to town for weddings. This house is located on the beautiful south end of the island where all the locals want to live due to no beach erosion, quiet surroundings, and minimal traffic.
