Close enough to explore......far enough to relax!!!!

When you stay with us you will feel like you are far away from everything. But in reality everything you could possibly want to do is just around the corner.

We are close to everything Asheville has to offer—Biltmore House, hiking, biking, shopping, tubing, running, the arts....the list is endless. Eclectic and funky West Asheville is minutes away offering a great collection of eateries, galleries and shops. Downtown Asheville is just minutes beyond that with a dazzling array of shops, restaurants, galleries and arts events, all infused with that unique Asheville laid back vibe. Just around the corner is the River Arts District where you can spend a day exploring one of the most active and accessible communities of working artists in North Carolina. If you get tired gallery hopping, you will find many great options for food and drink to rest a spell and rub shoulders with friendly locals who will be happy to tell you about the best local breweries.

Once you have worn yourself out with all there is to do in and around Asheville, you come back to a comfortable cozy cottage that is designed with relaxation in mind. Just renovated from top to bottom, our cottage includes a huge kitchen with new appliances and plenty of room for group dining. The very large living room is perfect for conversation, watching the HD TV with HD cable and ROKU streaming or curling up with a good book in front of the fireplace. The back yard is extremely private with plenty of room to throw Frisbee, football, or lounge around the fire pit and roast marshmallows . If you are lucky you will see some of the wildlife we have on the property including deer, turkey and the occasional fox.

The main house has 3 bedrooms with a recently renovated bathroom. The bath bungalow is an experience all its own. A mixture of new and old melt together to offer one cozy setting. There is a 49 sq ft 3 headed shower. It has its own TV/cable/roku and internet access. There is a fireplace and the most comfortable futon that coverts into a couch for relaxing by the fireplace or just watching some TV. All of this is recently finished and pictures will be up next week.

Beautiful house with quirky 'bathhouse'

  • 4 of 5

We booked this house for my family to converge for our daughter's wedding. The house itself (three bedrooms) was lovely: clean, comfortable, and great location. The owner/manager was fantastic in responding to my many questions and being so helpful. The hot tub looked great but we did not get time to use it. The kitchen is lovely and a great place to cook, if you choose to do so. Here would be my one recommendation: a garage was transformed into a living space with a futon bed. The floor is still cement and the walls and roof are garage. OK, that can work. But the toilet and shower are in the room itself on the far side and there is no privacy for either. A solid shower curtain would help with the shower and honestly? I would recommend a wall or someway to make the toilet area private. If you have one person staying there, he or she may not mind. We made the room work but only one of my family members felt comfortable staying there. Otherwise, I would recommend this house. If you do not need to use the garage room, you will love it. If you need that room for sleeping, just be aware. I guess I did not examine the pictures close enough so this is more my fault. But in the end: nothing but praise for the owner.

So close but yet soooo far!!!!

When you stay with us you will feel like you are far away from everything. But in reality everything you could possibly want to do is just around the corner.

Once you have worn yourself out with all there is to do in and around Asheville, you come back to a comfortable cozy cottage that is designed with relaxation in mind. Just renovated from top to bottom, our cottage includes a huge kitchen with new appliances, granite countertops, a washer/dryer nook and plenty of room for group dining. The very large living room is fronted by a spacious sunroom that is perfect for your morning coffee or curling up with a good book. The back deck is private with a grill and beautiful view of the woods. If you are lucky you will see some of the wildlife we have on the property including deer, turkey and the occasional fox.

All three bedrooms have luxurious queen size beds. There is one bathroom to share close to all three bedrooms. Hold on to your socks though, soon there will be an amazing Bath House. It is an experience all in its own. There is a 49 sqft shower with 3 shower heads, wonderful vanity and old fashion pull chain toilet. There is 150 sqft of lounging room with 40" HD smart TV and bar area. The Bath House is attached by a breezeway off the kitchen. Other features include a 40' High Definition TV in the living room.
