Whether you are looking for a Romantic getaway for 2 or bringing your family we welcome you to our Casa Estrella de Mar (Starfish Home). You will find this is one of the most convenient locations in Old Town Vallarta. Our condo is located in a brand new building called The Park, situated on the corner of Parque Lazaro Cardenas and Pino Suarez in the heart of Old Town Vallarta, just one flat block from Los Muertos beach and the famous Malécon/Boardwalk with an abundance of restaurants, cafés, taco and fruit stalls, clothing & jewelry shops, galleries and theaters. There are two elevators, main floor gym, and Sky Terrace on the 7th floor with a salt water pool, BBQ and kitchen, and a full service bar is in the process of being installed. These amenities are even more than you can expect from a Resort Hotel. At the front desk you will find the 24 hour security desk and the office of the Building Manager who is available to answer any questions you may have. Wifi is available in the lobby and Sky Terrace areas.

Our 944 square foot spacious unit decorated by Chawnalee of Crate interiors has custom designed furniture crafted locally, to suit our taste. The master bedroom with king bed is comfortable and roomy. Plenty of linens and towels and beach towels are provided. The bathroom is large and well laid out. The kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances, gas stove, electric oven, water/ice maker fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, blender, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, wine glasses and patio tumblers. There is a water purification system throughout the building. The granite counter top and backsplash make cleaning up a breeze. Dial 200 on the white phone under the microwave to connect with security in the lobby or friends in other units.

In the living/dining area is a 42” TV with cable, wifi, a couch that opens easily into two single beds and dining table for 6. Wall to wall sliding patio doors open onto a large balcony that has mountain, park and ocean views.

On Saturday mornings enjoy a stroll around the seasonal Market held in the Lazaro Cardenas park below with vendor stalls from restaurants, bakeries, fruits, vegetables, artisan crafts, clothing and jewelry. Many independent grocery stores on every block and larger grocery chains like Mega and Soriana are a short bus ride away. If you want to venture further hop on a local bus (just across the road) and for less than $1 you can ride down town where you will find large malls and stores like Sam’s Club, Walmart’s and Costco and Home Depot. If you need a break from strolling the town and would rather relax then grab your swimsuits, beach towels (stored in the laundry closet) and head to the 7th floor spectacular Sky Terrace where you will find a 25 meter salt-water, heated ½ Olympic infinity pool, 2 Jacuzzis, plenty of loungers for relaxing, couches and overhead TV’s in a large shaded area. Wifi is also available on the Sky Terrace. Enjoy preparing your lunch or dinner on the barbeque provided and do your prep work in the kitchen close by. Male and female washrooms and an outdoor shower complete the list of wonderful amenities available on the largest Sky Terrace in Old Town Vallarta. And last but not least and even more amazing are the 360 degree views of the Bay of Banderas on the west and the Sierra Madre mountains on the east. On the north side are the beautiful views of the Old Town with the famous steeple of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Marina and Hotel Zone and on through to the Airport, Nuevo Vallarta and Bucerais skylines at the north end of the bay. On the south the views stretch out to more beautiful jungles views and Spa Resorts like Garza Blanca and many others. Sunsets from the Sky Terrace alone will make your vacation at The Park very memorable… so don’t forget to pack your camera.

About Allan and Lynette

As Canadians we are always seeking warm getaways during the long winter months so it was while staying at a Resort Spa winter of 2014, 12 miles south of Puerto Vallarta we fell in love with Old Town/Romantic Zone the minute we stepped out of the cab and into the streets on a visit into town. We were in search of fresh coconuts and were not disappointed when we found Luis on the corner of L. Vallarta and Achilles Serdan with a loaded cart of the most refreshing and healthy drink that mother nature ever provided. As we ventured further towards the central town (Centro) we discovered many friendly store keepers who just let us wander in and out without any pressure to buy anything. Smiles abound in Old Town Puerto Vallarta and the friendly vibe captured our interest. With many, many years of vacations on Mayan Riviera and on the east coast, and other Caribbean islands this town drew our attention and as soon as we arrived back home we planned our next trip back without a second thought. But no remote resort for us, we rented a condo in Old Town and instead enjoyed the feeling of belonging to the local community. It was on this second trip in August of 2014 that we walked into the almost completed “Park” building. We were awed by the spacious and well-appointed units, the private balcony views and of course the Sky Terrace with its views and amenities. Needless to say within a couple of months we were owners of a 5th floor condo and we enjoyed our first stay there during New Years 2014 and early January 2015. We are looking forward to many more and longer vacations in our second home “Casa Estrella de Mar” the Starfish Home. We hope you will enjoy your stay in our condo too and soak in some of the wonderful warmth and culture of the people in Old Town Puerto Vallarta.

We love the convenient location just 1 block from the beach and Malécon, restaurants, cafés and grocery shops, Mercados and much, much more. For us there is nothing more enjoyable than a morning walk on the beach, then a stroll back to the condo passing the fresh orange juice cart to fill our thermos then back across the park, past the zumba class, to pick up some fresh baked croissants at the Paris bakery and head back to our casa (home) to enjoy breakfast on the balcony. Grocery shopping at the local stores and meat shops to cook lunch and dinner or eating at one of the beach restaurants makes for a casual and relaxed afternoon, then watching the sunset from the Sky Terrace and another evening walk on the Malécon when the fruit, crepe and ice-cream vendors set up their stalls rounds out a perfect day for us! Every new day we spend in Old Town we discover new places and people and many local attractions, events and recreational activities to enjoy.

What makes this condo unique

The central location eliminates the need for cars or taxis (taxi rates are reasonable) and the bus stops close by take us wherever we need to go. The safety of the town and the charm and friendliness of everyone around gives us a sense of belonging to the community. The beautiful mountains, bay, beach and town captures our interest and will forever evoke lasting memories. Salud to Old Town Vallarta and all it's residents and travellers.

Gorgeous, comfortable, convienently located...loved our stay!

My husband and I travel to PV with our daughter twice a year. This was our first time staying at The Park and we really enjoyed our visit. The building itself is gorgeous, with an amazing rooftop pool! The unit was so comfortable - we loved the décor, the amazing bed (and the super dark bedroom!), the shower (this is the only place our toddler has ever wanted to take a shower, she was a little obsessed with it - smile) and just all of the things that Allan and Lynette have done to make this a wonderful vacation rental.

Also, we loved how close the condo was to some of our favorite spots - Los Muertos Brewing, Tre Piatti, A Page in the Sun, Café San Angel, Taco Revolution, the plaza and of course The Malecon! We have already recommended the condo to a friend and would love to return!

Paradise Perfection

Your hosts provide every comfort in their beautiful home. Comfortable furnishings and a well-equipped kitchen provide an enjoyable escape in beautiful Puerto Vallarta. The location is exceptional, with a flat short walk to everything. The Sky Terrace is nothing short of amazing. This property is not to be missed.

Very comfortable unit in a great building

I visit PV about four times a year and the rooftop pool at The Park is my favorite. Casa Estrella del Mar is nicely decorated and very comfortable and clean. The condo has everything you need if you'd like to cook any meals there although we ended up mostly eating out because there are so many good restaurants very close by. I would definitely stay in this condo again.

Perfect location in PV

Can't beat the location - kitty corner from Lazaro Cardenas park, where the Saturday market is held. Only a block and a half from the beach. Close to galleries, restaurants, etc. The condo is beautiful and fully equipped. Property manager was quick to send a handyman to replace some burnt-out light bulbs. Staff in the lobby were unfailingly pleasant, especially Gerry. There have been some reviews that complain of traffic noise. This condo is located on a street with many buses.. We found that this noise became less annoying with time, and was frankly less noisy than the city condo where we lived in downtown Chicago. You need to decide if you are a city person or not, as to whether the traffic noise will bother you. More problematic was the late night music from some nearby clubs. We could shut out most of that noise by closing the bedroom door and using the ceiling fan or AC to mask the noise. It is very handy to have a kitchen and laundry to use any time you wish. The salt-water pool was a pleasant surprise, since there was no chlorine smell. Sunset views from the rooftop terrace were sometimes spectacular. We hope to return.
