Our awesome beach house is furnished with a modern, artsy and comfy flair. All kitchenware, linens, bath towels, beach towels, washer/dryer, wi-fi, cable, television, and dvd player provided.

The kitchen features top of the line stainless steel stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. You will enjoy cooking, dining and visiting with family and friends in the spacious open floor plan. The master bedroom will be a retreat featuring a comfy queen bed tastefully décorated with amenities that will leave you rested and refreshed. The second bedroom has two twins and the third bedroom will have a full sized bed big enough for a cozy night's rest for two. The bathroom is finished in beautiful marble and features a bathtub and shower. Outside, you’ll find a fully enclosed yard with lots of room for outdoor BBQ meals and space for family enjoyment. The backyard will be equipped with bbq grill, table and chairs and lounge chairs for sunning in a private setting.

Our goal is that you have a great Santa Cruz vacation. A short five-minute walk to Twin Lakes Beach, only a three-minute walk to the yacht harbor and popular Crow’s Nest Restaurant, and a 5 minute drive to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. This location is excellent for family outings; jogging, swimming, body surfing, boogie boarding, volleyball, evening bonfires, and viewing incredible sunsets.

Stroll to the yacht harbor for sailing, kayaking, or stand-up paddling. Walk to the Crow’s Nest for dinner or dancing to live music. Or take in a concert on the sand in front of the boardwalk. There is a convenience store and deli two doors down. Santa Cruz is also a favorite for premium wine-tasting, world-class surfing, mountain biking, and hiking.

There will be a list of fun things to do and recommendations for playing, dining, site seeing and more. We are available prior to your arrival to assist in any way. Great place!

Very clean. Great Location. Close to just about everything. Good restaurants within walking distance.7th Avenue can be a bit busy for a residential street, but we were never bothered by traffic noise. Check-in process very smooth.

Cozy, well situated beach home

Unfortunately for us, the weather conspired against our visit and it rained heavily while we were here. So, we spent most of the time inside the house and are able to report that is very comfortable to be in, even during a cold dreary winter rain.

We made a lot of use of the kitchen and did not have to go out during the rain. The appliances are all very modern. The house has a nice open design and very comfortable sofas to "hang out" on.

The owners are very responsive to a few minor concerns. There is a small convenience store - Deke's just two doors down (150 yards away) so if you forgot anything or need anything fresh like milk, you don't even have to drive. You just go down two doors! We walked in the evening a short walk to the Crow's Nest and had an amazing dinner.

The beds are comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen are nicely updated. Our party had three people, each using one of the bedrooms, and the one bathroom was sufficient for us. The backyard looks like it would be wonderful for summer get-togethers.

Parking was easy for our two cars. One car went in the driveway and we kept another car on the street because it was off-season. The house is a little difficult to locate when you first drive-in because the house number is not easily visible from the busy street, so look for Deke's sign and the home's white picket fence.

Since I cook, my only suggestion to the owners is providing a couple 1-2 more additional pots and pans so guests can cook multiple dishes at once. I might also suggest providing Netflix and Hulu, it's probably cheaper than Comcast cable for both the guests and the owners. We loved the little Bose wireless speaker in the kitchen.

Overall, it was a nice experience despite being stuck inside from the heavy rain. We would love to come again, hopefully during better weather.

Absolutely great Getaway

We were so pleased to find the place in excellent condition, clean and with nice décor. It has been completely remodeled with wood and tile floors, cabinets and totally fixed up. We loved the kitchen, dining and living room being one big area so no one is left alone and we got to visit and interact. The BBQ worked great and back yard is fixed up nicely for relaxing. I hate to give an excellent review because now we may never get to come back because it will start getting booked up 365 !!! grin. The home owners are very nice and very helpful. My son and his family were very impressed and would love to come back to Santa Cruz and stay here again. That speaks volumes since they have been able to stay at resorts, etc. We are so glad we got to be here and can't say enough about it. It was described correctly and the pictures don't even do it justice. You will be glad you stayed here. Target is not far away for your shopping needs, on the corner of Capitola and 30th Avenue. We drove about 2 miles to the Crows Nest and it had great food upstairs for the 6 of us. Parking there for dinner was $2.25. The beach is down the street about 2-300 yards. A perfect picture of the light house against the setting sun. There is a little market about 3 doors down the street. You will definitely enjoy your stay here !!!

Wonderful house and location!

Thank you Sunny! We had a great time celebrating my husband's birthday! The house had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated! We loved the location in proximity to the beach (we walked multiple times) and to the boardwalk! We look forward to going back as soon as possible!

Good weekend....

Loved staying at this home in Santa Cruz. The house itself is very spacious with 3 bedrooms in addition to 2 really comfy couches. The kitchen is open and well appointed and the back yard is very relaxing. Driveway parking is a bonus as is the market a few doors down to get supplies. We walked the few blocks to the beach each morning to experience the grandeur of the sun rise with the sounds of the waves. Sunny is quick to respond to any questions/concerns. We plan on reserving this home again on our next trip to Santa Cruz.

1. Noise Ordinance: Santa Cruz has a noise ordinance that states that between the hours of 10:00pm and 8:00am, no persons shall make, cause, suffer, or permit to be made any offensive noise, which is made within 100 feet of any building or place regularly used for sleeping purposes. Violations of this Ordinance may lead to expulsion from the Property and Guest will forfeit all fees paid.
2. Occupancy Ordinance: Per county code, maximum overnight occupancy of this vacation rental shall not exceed 8 persons (2 per bedroom + 2 additional not counting children under 12). Further, the maximum occupancy for temporary gatherings for celebrations between 8:00am and 10:00pm shall not exceed 16 people. Violations of either of these Ordinances may lead to expulsion from the Property and Guest will forfeit all fees paid.
3. Transient Guests: People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.
4. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Please do not take house towels outside.
5. Weather: No refunds will be given for storms or bad weather.
6. Liability: The Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the Property or while using any of its facilities or provided amenities. The Homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of Guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that Guest and guests of Guest are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the Property and provided amenities or others whom they invite to use the Property. Homeowner does not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to Guests or any other persons or their personal property.
