About John Lyons
The owners are Northern California natives and have been spending time in Tahoe all their lives. The house is operated under professional property management.
John Lyons purchased this House in 2015
Why John Lyons chose Tahoma
There's a saying, "The West Shore is the Best Shore". Tahoma is perfectly situated in the some of the least developed shoreline of Tahoe, yet is centrally located. In winter, the house is 5 minutes from Homewood, 20 minutes from Squaw/Alpine, and 45 minutes from Heavenly. You can ski the entire Tahoe area. In summer, there are vast expanses of state park and national forest land, accessible within a 5 minute walk from the front door. Hiking and mountain biking options are great, & there are trails not widely known or crowded. There are great beaches in the area - Chambers Landing, Meeks Bay & DL Bliss are close. Tahoe City is a 12 minute drive. Stateline and the casinos are about 40 minutes away.

Gorgeous house, warm and cozy, yet so spacious! We absolutely loved it!
This house was everything we were hoping for! It has all the amenities, we didn’t want for anything. Great-sized and appointed kitchen, huge bedrooms with super comfortable beds, and a comfortable living room with a flat screen tv and cozy blankets. The place is really close to good skiing and great restaurants. The hosts were fabulous and totally responsive to our needs. We look forward to coming back every season here on out!
Beautiful home! Open layout downstairs was perfect for hanging out with adults and watching kids at the same time. 4 bedroom 3.5 bath was plenty for 4 adults and 6 kids (ages 2-11). Kids loved the bunk room. With a 10 min drive to town and ski resort 5 min away the location was ideal. We had snow right in the large backyard so we ended up staying in. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!
The place to stay whenever we come back to Tahoe
We enjoyed our 4-day stay so much and will definitely come back. 3 families including 4 little kids stayed for an extended weekend in this property and we just loved it! Great location, beautiful house, nice and cozy living room, the bedroom with bunk beds ( kids' favorite), the hot tub, kitchen with all kinds of utensils, clean bedrooms and bathrooms, responsive and considerate owners....they have all the reasons for you to love this property, and we all agreed that this is THE place to stay whenever we come back to Tahoe. By the way, we live in northern CA, just a few hours drive away, so we know for sure we will be coming back! Thank you, John and Diana for making this a beautiful memory for all of us!
Simply perfect! Very clean, beautiful home, wonderful location, great for families!
The experience was wonderful! Owners and property managers were very responsive, helpful and easy to work with. The home was beautiful - a great layout for families! We cooked and ate at the house, walked to the beach, enjoyed state parks and hikes that were close by, and very much enjoyed our stay!
Beautiful house. All the conveniences of home.
Comfortable beds, great hot tub. Nice upstairs area for the kids and a nice great room on the main floor for evenings at home. Would definitely book again!
