Had a wonderful three weeks at this cottage in Ogunquit
Ideal location, 15 minute walk to both beach and Perkins Cove. Very comfortable cottage.
Thank you for choosing Centre Village Cottage for your vacation. It was our pleasure hosting you hoping to see you next year
What a great vacation
We stayed in the penthouse 3bedroom condo. We walked into a beautiful basket of fresh fruits and one of snacks. Newer and clean, the central air had it nice and cool. We finally found a place that realizes the beds are a top priority. King and queen size beds were very comfortable. A great night sleep gives you a start to a great day. We were within easy walking distance to the town center and beach.
The staff was also excellent. We had a couple of requests that were taken care of quickly, they truly wanted to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.
In all the years going to Maine, from York to Kennibunk, this was our best stay. We'd get back from the beach, grab a cocktail and spend time at the pool, very nice. My wife and daughter said it felt more like home than a hotel. I could go on, but suffice it to say, we will be staying here again. Maybe a fall or winter trip, we heard there's a lot going on in the off season as well. Thanks for helping us make a great vacation.

August cottage vacation
Cottage has plenty of room- lovely kitchen, new gas fireplace. Good location for walking to town, restaurants, beach. However, it is in definite need of updating- peeling wall paper, poor lighting, broken icemaker, half working grill, no carbon monoxide detector, and questionable working smoke alarms. No garbage, towel service and very intermittent wifi. Dirty fans in bathroom, with possible mold - cobwebs in corners upstairs.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review.
We take all feedback seriously.
We are sorry your stay with us did not meet your expectations. We are surprised to learn about all of this after the fact, as some of the things mentioned are part of the contractual agreement, were discussed during our multiple conversations and were elaborated on during the initial walk through. As a part of a larger property, during peak season we do have someone at our front desk 24 hours. Had your concerns been voiced we would have addressed them at that time.
We take the safety of our guests very seriously therefore all our monitoring devices are fully functioning, inspected and in compliance with posted safety standards.
We strive to provide each guest an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
We are sorry we missed the mark with you.
You will not need your car once you arrive. You can walk to the beach, and we are just one block to the entrance of the beautiful ocean walk – The Marginal Way. At the end of Marginal Way is the fishing village of Perkins Cove, where you can go take cruises for deep sea fishing, whale watching, light house viewing, and ‘booze cruises’. Also, if you prefer, Ogunquit offers a open-air trolley to get you to your destination.
For non-beach goers, you are about a 5 minute walk to the historical “Ogunquit Playhouse”, which features one of the top ten off-Broadway theaters in the nation. You can always walk to the great shopping, go antiqueing, bar hopping,or go to our local movie cinema, which offers first run movies.
If a little road-trip is in your plans, Kittery, with its great outlet shopping is just 10 miles south of Ogunquit, and historic Porstmouth, NH is just a few miles beyond Kittery. Kennebunk is only about 12 miles north of Ogunquit and Portland is only 40 minutes away. Freeport, with the famous LL Bean, is just north of Portland.
Mount Agamenticus is only 7 miles from Ogunquit, and it offers breathtaking views from the Atlantic Ocean to Mount Washington in New Hampshire. Hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding are available at or near the mountain.
Ogunquit has two art museums, public library, public tennis courts, and playgrounds. Golf, miniature golf, biking, kayaking are just some of the additional activities in the village.
We will be happy to share our thoughts and ideas with you while you make your travel arrangements to Maine.
