Ocean front one story beach house on West Cliff Dr. between Natural Bridges State beach and the light House. 1 king master suite, 2 queen bedrooms with hall bathroom, detached 4th bedroom with 2 twin beds, family room faces ocean, kitchen with dining area faces ocean, pub table seats 7, kitchen bar seats 3, central heat, gas fireplace insert, double pained windows, linens and towels provided, beach towels, few rolls of T.P. Laundry soap, dishwashing soap, shampoo. Outdoor gas grill with table. Front yard faces ocean with people watching or sea life watching from our patio viewing chairs. TV's in two queen bedrooms and one TV in the living room.

My family owns this property. We live in near by Los Gatos.

Liz purchased this house in 1999

Why Liz chose Santa Cruz

The Catholic Church sold us this beach house. The priest built the house and the nuns were living in it. The nuns were so grateful to live in the beach house. They referred to the house as living in a area everyone wants to visit. We even have a church pew bench. We remodeled the house and turned it into a short term vacation rental to share with others.

What makes this house unique

ocean front. West Cliff is a linear park you can walk along the ocean or ride your bike for miles. Clean and well maintained house. Spectacular views.

Fabulous weekend

Family surprised my husband with a 70th birthday celebration @ the beach. We chose the right house. Liz's home is right across the street from the ocean with breathtaking views. We saw whales and dolphins frolicing in the water right in front of the house. The house was very clean and well cared for. We enjoyed the BBQ and the well stocked kitchen. She even provided kleenex and TP. We never left, because there was no better place to be.

We all hope to return soon. Thanks Liz.

Lovely home and great location

We had a beautiful sunny weekend in Santa Cruz in January with our daughter and son and spouses. The house comfortably slept 3 couples in individual rooms. We enjoyed sunsets from the outdoor chairs in front of the house and warm evenings by the fire. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked breakfasts and dinners at the house. The house is a short 1/2 mile walk to Natural Bridges State Park. We took both morning and evening walks along West Cliff Drive which runs directly in front of the house. It is a longer 2 1/2 mile walk from the house to the boardwalk along West Cliff Drive, but a beautiful walk. Would definitely come back again.

Cozy and comfy

Despite the fact that we had a rainy and stormy weekend, we had a wonderful stay in this cozy and comfy house overlooking the water. It's the perfect house for 3 couples (we even managed to include a 3 1/2 year old too. I'm not sure anyone would have been comfortable in the beds in the garage. The house had everything we could want and the beds were very comfortable. We spent a lot of time just sitting in front of the fireplace and enjoying the view.

Nice House on Busy Corner

The House is nice but there is a street and walkway between it and the ocean view. This is a very popular sidewalk that constantly has people using it, so there is not much privacy. It was a nicely furnished house but unfortunately we were there on a cold weekend in December and the fireplace did not work. Otherwise it is a nice rental.

Owner's Response: Having guests like these takes the fun out of the vacation rental business. Upon my arrival to the house after the guests checked out I noticed the gas key was turned off to the fireplace, so this is why the fireplace did not come on. There is central heating at this house and the fireplace is not needed for heat to feel comfortable. This is the first complaint I have had about the oceanfront location of my property.

The place is clean and updates along with a location that allows you walk and shop. The views from the front room as well as the front yard makes the stay very relaxing

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is 2 miles south from the house. The pier with shopping and ocean front restaurants is 2 miles south of the house. Natural Bridges State sandy Beach and home of the Monarch butterfly migration is 1/2 mile south of the house.
