About Tony and Birgit DiBartolo

Our family moved to Asheville a year ago full time when Tony retired from the restaurant business. Four years ago, we purchased a cabin in NE Asheville so that we could have a place to visit and bring our dogs. We knew that we would have to rent it as a short term rental to be able to afford to have it. It's has been so successful that since then, we have purchased 4 more vacation rental properties and now devote our time to renting and maintaining those properties. We enjoy the communication with travelers and being able to provide a great place to stay in Asheville that's pet friendly, convenient and reasonably priced. It's important to us that our guests know that we do everything we can to make their vacation memorable. After all, we want you to keep coming back!

Tony and Birgit DiBartolo purchased this cabin in 2015

Why Tony and Birgit DiBartolo chose Arden

We purchased the cabin from the only owner it'd ever had-in fact he built it himself. We loved the incredible view and convenience to commerce-restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters, and just about anything else that you would need within a 5 minute drive. We also liked that the entire drive was all paved-including the driveway. We looked at a lot of properties with views that had gravel driveways or treacherous, unpaved roads and knew that wouldn't work for us. This cabin had it all, including the incredible view!

What makes this cabin unique

Convenience to restaurants, entertainment, anything you would need within a 5 minute drive. The spectacular view is what sets it apart, as well as ease of access. There is a 300 acre nature preserve and hiking trails within .1 mile.

Everything we hoped for - with a view!

  • 5 of 5

The name says it all - the cabin comes complete with glorious sunrises, comfortable accommodations, and a sense of seclusion. Ashville and all of its art, food, beer(!), and tourist attractions are a very resonable distance (twenty minutes in most cases) and can be reached on local roads (no need for frreways). Plenty of friendly nearby shopping and dining. A wonderful, very relaxed base to explore the region or just stay put and enjoy the comforts of the cabin. The kitchen has every need if you decide to eat in, and is quite serviceable. The TV was - on the one occasion we used it - appreciated as was the Netflix. Communications with the owners, Tony and Brigit, were straightforward and easy to understand. Wholeheartedly recommend!

What a view!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in Arden at the Cabin which was very comfortable as well! Would love to come back and try out the hot tub and the comfortable swings! It is so convenient to so much to do, restaurants, Biltmore Village, movies Etc, and yet it also has the feeling away from the rowdiness of party houses!

Perfect North Carolina Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We spent five days in the mountaintop cabin. Very quiet and peaceful and the views of the mountains were spectacular. The house was perfect for the five of us. Had everything we needed and was an adorable log cabin home. Everything is clean and in good shape. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and in the hot tub.

Great location, close to Asheville, the airport and nearby small towns. Highlights included The Biltmore, The Blue Ridge Folk Art Center, blackberry picking at Justus farms, The Grove Park Inn, New Belgium, Sierra Nevada and Wicked Weed breweries, and visiting Chimney Rock.

The only (minor) challenge was the winding drive up to the house and the steep driveway BUT the view of the Smoky Mountains made that more than worthwhile.

Would definitely return.

Had a great time at this cabin

  • 5 of 5

This is a very nice cabin. We booked it for 4 nights to have a short getaway, and we wish we could have stayed longer! As others have mentioned, the cabin was VERY clean. I have stayed at many cabins advertised on VRBO and this was the cleanest and most well-kept. Our two little dogs also really enjoyed it!

We also spent a lot of time on the porch. This place is quiet, which is what we were looking for. The winding roads in the neighborhood are like many mountain roads—skinny and sometimes steep, but I don’t see anyone needing 4x4 unless maybe it’s snowing.

Overall we had a great time and we plan to come back.

Beautiful View

  • 4 of 5

We loved the view from this location. The house was nice and clean. There was everything needed plus more in the kitchen. We were a family of 4 there plenty of space. There were just 2 things we did not like

#1 The couches were not comfortable AT ALL. At the end of the night after a day of activity we just wanted to relax.

#2 It was a cooler night going down into the 50's and we wanted to open up the windows for fresh-air... well there is a lock... yes I said LOCK on the thermostat!!

The driveway is alittle scary but eventually got use to it.. very steep

Owner's Response: I’m glad you enjoyed the view and the cabin but would like to address the two issues you mentioned: I can’t speak to why you didn’t find the couches comfortable because you did not provide a reason. I'm sorry you did not find them comfortable. They are leather, cushy and comfy, as far as we can tell, and as previous guests have mentioned. As far as the thermostat being locked: this is stated early in the welcome letter (emailed to all guests) in which we ask them to please contact us if they are uncomfortable with the temp. Guests are free to adjust the temperature to their liking and we are happy to provide the key to the thermostat. The reason it is locked-and as stated in our welcome letter-is because we have had people turn the AC down to 60 in the summer thereby freezing the unit which then requires service. We prefer to speak with our guests before they adjust the thermostat so they are aware of this possibility. For this reason, we recommend reading the welcome letter because we feel it contains important information for the guests to have before and during their stay.

Exceptional Rental and Owners

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a place to stay in/near Asheville - stop looking. Just book this place already!! All of the pictures and previous reviews are spot on. The mountain views are spectacular and the cabin has everything that you will need. The attention to detail from these owners is incredible! We have stayed in at least 15-20 VRBO rentals, and this is the best by far. From a welcome bottle of wine to a check-in call to make sure all is well, the owners have thought of everything to make sure you have a great stay. The deposit return was even underway before we made it half way home. Seriously, stop looking and book it now!
