Hi, I'm the owner Gregg and this is a private residential home on James Island recently refitted for your vacation stay and only 4 miles from all the action on Folly Beach or historic downtown.

Super clean, comfortable and secure with all the extras. The perfect spot for a girlfriends getaway, family vacation, friends reunion or wedding party guests. This hidden treasure features a luxurious master with king bed and upscale linens, walk-in closet, En Suite with double vanity and tub/shower combo and a peaceful view of the pond. Second bedroom offers a queen bed with closet and chest of drawers. Third bedroom features trundle bed for two with closet storage. The second full bathroom located in the hallway and situated between bedrooms two and three also features tub/shower combo. Full laundry facilities situated just outside the bedrooms with iron and board and supplies.

Nicely furnished living room is warm and inviting with large comfortable sectional couch, occasional tables and 50" flat screen TV with Dish network, DVD and WiFi. Plenty of room for reading and relaxing. Books, board games and puzzles provided.

Fully equipped kitchen for a quiet night at home. Dine inside with a view or out on the patio next to the pond. Have your morning coffee or your evening cocktails on the screened back porch which overlooks a shady backyard filled with birdsong and the floral aroma that is so prevalent all around Charleston, including a view of the duck pond.

Bonuses include off street parking for two cars and a starter kit of trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent are provided. However depending on your length of stay you may want to bring extras.

This home is ready for your family to create a memorable experience whether it be Folly Beach, Historic Charleston proper or any of the numerous historical and natural wonders in close proximity. Appreciate coming home after your busy day and escaping the hustle and bustle of the beach crowds.

About Gregg

Originally from Kentucky, I moved to Charleston in 1998 where I worked in the Mortgage Banking business and rental Real Estate. Before retirement I was Charleston's premiere Real Estate Auctioneer operating through Charleston's largest residential Real Estate company. As a lifelong adventurer I have piloted my own plane to many an exotic destination, sailed up and down the Atlantic, and traversed the country to and fro. I have found the many opportunities the low country offers to fulfill my adventurous needs including sailing, paragliding, offshore fishing and the list goes on. As a grandparent I enjoy sharing this area and all its natural beauty with visiting family and friends.

Great location, comfortable, pleasant lodging.

We stayed a month in this home, which is well maintained and comfortable. The kitchen is well enough supplied for meal prep; there is a great screened porch overlooking the pond (we saw 15-20 turtles sunning on the bank daily,) and the DISH hopper system for TVs. The landlord is very accommodating, and wants to provide his tenants a good experience. Downtown C'ston is only 15 minutes, and Folly beach is a shorter drive. Great central location and lots of restaurants close by, too. We felt totally safe in this neighborhood, and will stay here again next time we come to Charleston.

It is was clean, quiet and conveniently located. Could be better equipped.

Overall ok. Need more mirrors and better lighting. Good cable options. Seating in living room was good. Need more kitchen equipment. Basics would be nice. Also, asking us to strip beds and start laundry wasn’t a big deal but never had to do this at any other site.

Great location, relaxing atmosphere

Gregg is a very welcoming and accommodating host. This property is located not too far from downtown, nearby attractions, the beach, etc. Several excellent restaurants are nearby. The house is in a quiet neighborhood andand a view of the turtle pond behind the house can be enjoyed from the patio. A great value for the money, we would stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

A Wedding trip to Charleston

The location and conditions of the home were great. The kitchen was well stocked and the linens and towels were provided which made traveling much easier.

The owner was easy to work with, when needed. Our family and guests were also pleased with the accommodations. What a great place to stay while enjoying our son's wedding celebration !

Comfortable and convenient

The house, located in a quiet neighborhood of single family homes and within easy driving distance of Charleston and Folly Beach, was the perfect home-away-from-home during a recent visit to James Is. For longer side trips, the house is well positioned (near Rt. 30) for easy access to major highways leading to Savannah and the Ashley R. plantations, for example. The house is clean and well-furnished, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen. Although it was still too chilly to enjoy the screened-in porch, there is a lovely view of a pond attractive to birds and turtles. Off-street parking is available, always a plus...Gregg was a pleasure to work with; he responded immediately to e-mails, clearly explained his expectations of guests, provided valuable information about the area, and was available during our stay to address any issues that might arise. (Speaking of which - pay close attention to the e-mail that he sends just before your arrival. It contains vital information about how to turn off the burglar alarm when you first enter the house.) We especially appreciated his attaching Harris Teeter cards to the house key rings, so that we could take advantage of savings at the nearby grocery store. So, then, in my opinion, don't hesitate to rent this property.
