Townhome, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 4-5)
This stunning, custom-built townhouse is located in the historic town site of Crested Butte on a quiet, dead-end street. The house was designed by one of Crested Butte's finest builders, Sean Norton, on Beckwith Avenue downtown. South facing to take advantage of the winter sun and spectacular summer thunderstorm viewing, the Beckwith Guesthouse is located just two blocks from the mountain/town bus stop, and the Nordic Center (ice skating, cross country ski center, snow sledding/tubing and skateboard park).
Our home is located within easy walking distance to town's many fine restaurants and shops. A car is not required.
Come inside where radiant heated floors will keep you toasty warm. On the ground floor is the master bedroom with a king bed. Imported tiles enhance the tub area and steam shower in the attached master bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and its own private bath. The washer and dryer are conveniently located on the first level by the bedrooms. Each bed has new, cozy, down comforters.
Level 2 includes the gourmet kitchen with a European style double sink, new Thermador oven and gas range, great for altitude cooking and baking. The open floor plan with vaulted ceilings showcase the dining/living area and its warm wood and leather decor. There are two outside decks: one with a gas barbecue for the summer, the other, a sunny nook to enjoy the winter sun. There is a third full bathroom with shower on this second level.
The third level loft/yoga/play area has cable television and TV & video game nook area, and a modern, twin-to-queen sized convertible couch.
The owners of the Beckwith Guesthouse have been in the area for over 22 years. Our property manager conveniently lives next door and can coordinate lift tickets, groceries, housekeeping services, and other concierge services at an additional rate. We are happy to help assist in making your vacation a most pleasant one. Please be advised that there is no garage or indoor equipment storage. In summer we have an artisan crafted outdoor bike rack. Ski storage is available on the mountain, in/on your automobile, or, as we locals do, just outside the front door. Please feel free to dry your boots inside the front door "mudroom" using the in-floor heating, or your own boot dryer (outlets are conveniently located on the mudroom closet wall).
Now taking bookings for Winter Season 2017 and Summer/Fall 2017.

Why Ms. Lhotse Hawk chose Crested Butte
Crested Butte is the most beautiful place in Colorado. The town is charming, the skiing challenging, the views- breathtaking. Our property in Crested Butte is unique, charming, and located in the best spot! We would live here year-round (or at least 1/2 the year) if we could!
What makes this Townhome unique
Custom details and hand carved spanish/western detailed interiors that are worth a look even if you weren't staying there! We have always been cautious not to 'over rent' our ski home, so our property is clean, beautiful, and fresh for your visit. Close to the bus stop, Elk Avenue, shopping and the best restaurants!

This is a beautiful house on a quiet street. Everything was provided to make it a perfect stay. The property manager was so helpful.
Very nice details to this home, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and toys for young children.
Quiet street but close to the Main Street for shopping and dining. The property manager was excellent and answered all our questions.
Fantastic home in a perfect location!
We enjoyed our stay in this clean, warm environment. The home was charming and had great amenities in a perfect location. Beautiful!
Great home in CB
Wonderful home on a quiet street but convient to everything. We were able to walk to all the restaurants and the bus stop was close by. The house was well equipped for all our needs. We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you for your kind review. We are truly grateful for trustworthy and appreciative renters. Should you decide to stay at our CB home again, let us know if there was anything you wished was different or available. We do our best to accommodate requests that would add comfort and value to your next visit. Best wishes! LH
Great property on a quiet street. It was equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.
Perfect for what we value.
We loved how the house was thoughtfully decorated, its location on the edge of town provided privacy yet very convenient to walk to the shops, restaurants and shuttle stop for skiing. Only suggestion for consideration is that we found the beds very firm, even for our children. We would definitely stay here again, in the Winter or Summer.
Thank you for your kind review and thoughtful suggestion. The mattress in the master is an Ecomfort organic medium firmness bamboo mattress with natural latex core. (I have bulged discs in my back from years of skiing w/backpack. It is the only mattress I have found that doesn't cause stiffness.) We have these mattresses in all of our beds at home including guest rooms and children's rooms. This is the first time we have heard it is "too firm".
The queen size bed in the downstairs guest room is a new pillowtop from Back at the Ranch in Gunnison. It is quite possible it has not softened up much yet because we do not rent our CB home more than 75-100 days/year. (Fewer renters minimizes the wear and tear damage to our house and keeps it in better condition for those who do stay. ;-) ) I will seriously consider changing that mattress when we are there over the summer.
As for the loft, agreed. The convertible futon, from DWR, is FIRM! The little one & pals frequently choose making a carpet "nest" over the couch. Adult friends/teens have found it to be fine if they lay a comforter down before sheets. We try to keep rentals to 4 or fewer people for those reasons.
Again, thank you for visiting and for your review! We will let you know if we swap out the queen bed mattress. Cheers!
Crested Butte, known as the Last Great Colorado Ski Town, is an historic mining town. Located just 35 miles from Gunnison Colorado (GUC), Crested Butte is an escape to mountain paradise!
