About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Just a couple of blocks from downtown, the historic Wild Rose's location is perfect for walking to the restaurants, cafes, galleries, and the town shuttle. A wonderful fenced yard with a deck, hot tub, and BBQ for summer gatherings or a nice soak après ski sits across from Coal Creek. Sit on the front porch and listen to the creek and watch locals ride by while reading the paper, or enjoy the interior comfort of this restored home. The master bedroom with queen bed, cathedral ceilings, original hardwood floors, walk-in closet, TV and writing desk has its own entrance and is on the ground floor away from the main portion of the house. Its adjoining bathroom is beautifully tiled with a jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and dual sinks. A large tiled mudroom and hallway with two entrances and decks rests between the master bedroom and the kitchen. The side deck is perfect for morning coffee or evening aperitif with a view of the creek and wild flowers. The sunny kitchen is tiled with ample counter space and a gas stove with open viewing of the cozy living room with its gas fireplace and new flatscreen television. A spacious wooden dining room table is also part of the open floor plan. Historic windows, flooring and photos create a feeling of warmth as well as admiration for this home's restoration.

The second floor is accessed off of the kitchen next to a nicely tiled full bathroom. Double doors open to a carpeted stairway lined with several historic photos and two twin beds in the upper hallway which connects to a separate, cozy queen bedroom.

Feel like a local while relaxing by the creek at The Wild Rose, a historic renovated vacation rental.

Right downtown, close to everything

We particularly appreciated the refurbished bathrooms and the well-equipped kitchen. NB: all the beds have very soft mattresses; some of us had trouble with that.

Perfect location and all the comfort of home!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay. We have older teenage kids so having the master suite was perfect for us. If you have small children just be aware that the upstairs bedrooms are not close to the master suite and you can't hear anything....so perfect for couples or families with school age or teenagers. The hot tub was great. The grill was great to have too as we enjoyed cooking in a few nights and save some money! Beds are so comfy we all had restfull nights sleep after long ski days. Humidifiers in both rooms a plus for us midwesterners not used to the dry air. The kitchen was fully stocked and had some staples like olive oil and spices. Mudroom in middle of house perfect for gear storage. Location so close to everything in town and bus stop. We didn't use the car once.

Loved this house will go back!

The Wild Rose

  • 5 of 5

What an amazing powder filled two weeks in CB! The house was equipped with everything needed. Warm and cozy while we watched and enjoyed the abundance of snow this year. The jacuzzi was used every day after a long day on the slopes or nordic tracks. Best location for amazing meals and shopping. Games and puzzles kept us busy during the snowy evenings. Love that the location of the master bedroom as our young adult children could enjoy their own space at the front of the house. Plus the amazing hallway room has plenty of space for all ski/boarding gear and jackets!

I recently stayed at the Wild Rose home in Crested Butte and have nothing but positive comments about both this lovely well appointed home, VRBO and CBPM. I made contact with Tracy from the road when a cross country RV trip was compromised by a breakdown. I had to continue the journey by car and of course I lost my hotel on wheels. The Wild Rose was available for the time I had planned to spend in CB and the pet friendly accommodations were perfect for Lucy the boxer and her mom. Seriously, this house has EVERYTHING. Beautiful tasteful decor, exceptionally outfitted kitchen, spotless hot tub, heavenly bed, and the fenced in backyard gave my pup some room to run.I enjoyed hiking, shopping, and dining without ever picking up my car keys. Two blocks from all the activity, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. The home was ready for my arrival with clear instructions for all systems/appliances and plenty of contact information if I had any trouble. The only trouble was leaving! Thanks CBPM and VRBO!

Great location, backyard, bathrooms and master bedroom

  • 4 of 5

We loved our week long stay in this house. The location and backyard cannot be beat. The set up is a little different with the twin beds outside the upstairs bedroom, and having to go down those stairs to the bathroom.. It would work for a family with kids and a nanny but was it was a little awkward for our multi family gathering. The kitchen is stocked really, really well! They were great about our dogs too.

My only complaint is that there is a hanging lamp in the kitchen that is off center of the island and the tall people (6 feet) in our group were constantly hitting their heads on it.
