Incredible property, amazing views, and beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have just returned from spending Thanksgiving week here, and adjusting to normal life again is a challenge. We arrived super late at night and wound our way through the dense trees and vegetation to an incredibly private piece of property that felt like we had the entire peninsula to ourselves. I think we were all asleep before our bodies hit the beds, but what greeted us in the morning were stunningly breathtaking views of the sound with Bainbridge Island and Seattle along the coastlines, and Mt Rainier off in the distance. My wife and I enjoyed our coffee on the covered wrap-around porch, while the kids discovered a rope swing in one of the old-growth trees, and a basketball court tucked away to one side of the property. It felt very remote and private, yet we were only about a mile from the little country store and pier where the kids would go to get cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate before exploring the beach. There were countless games of Foosball played in the game room, and one of our favorite features was the fireplace in the living room where we could snuggle up after a long day of adventuring. Our schedules at home are so hectic and crammed full of work, school, and extra-curricular activities, that it was really wonderful to have a chance to get away and really love on my family and enjoy each other in such peaceful and beautiful surroundings.

Thank you Alan and Susan for making that a possibility and sharing such a neat slice of the world with us.

Very nice

Very nice and we'll maintained home with outstanding view of Puget Sound and Seattle. One of the quietest and most peaceful places we've been to. A great place to stay. The caretaker was extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you!!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house.

Our stay in the Eagle house was wonderful. The house was very lovely and the views were spectacular. There even were kid friendly things to do there such as a basketball court, a climbing rope, and a great fire pit area. This was truly a magical place! We were sad to leave.

Beautiful view, comfortable, could have been better

  • 4 of 5

Incredible setting! Not a lot of effort in making it perfect though. Very long grass, only a portion of which was mowed, and then the cuttings were not picked up. We didn't even know there was a retaining wall until our grandson fell off it, because it was hidden in the tall grass. (The tall grass did cushion his fall though.) Inside windows were dirty, which was very obvious given the spectacular view. Upstairs bath/shower drain was plugged. Some shelves and sills were dusty. Three of five vanity lights in the master bath were burned out. Not enough toilet paper or soap. These are all little things that were more annoying than disruptive. On the plus side, use of the BBQ grill was helpful, and the young lady overseeing the property was very courteous and helpful. The setting is spectacular!

Great place to play!

  • 4 of 5

We recently stayed at this lovely home We had two dogs and a first grade child. All three enjoyed running and playing in this large yard. It was easy to find and right between Poulsbo and Port Gamble. We had plenty to do each day and came back to watch the eagles and hawks soaring above the cliff. The view was beautiful even during a very windy storm.

Peaceful retreat for the eyes and soul

  • 5 of 5

Such a neat rental! The property is magical with space to walk, admire wildflowers and trees, listen to the birds & watch the views! The home has a lovely historic feel and has all you need to cook and relax. The covered porch was a treat when it rained. I could sit on the swing forever down at the property edge. We'll be back!
