Would recommend a long weekend here
Property was just as expected. We brought our two large dogs and went for a short vacation. It was clean and peaceful. We loved how other cabins weren't to close so you had some privacy. Only cons were the dogs didn't have much area to do their "business"(smaller dogs would be better) and beds were not very comfortable. We would definitely love to come back here for our next trip.
The cabin is everything they said it would be. We had a problem with keeping the wood burning so Steve and Gretchen brought us a fresh load of wood. We want to thank them for going out of their way to do this. The deer are every where so keep an eye out for them. The drive way is a little steep but that just added to the adventure. A beautiful peaceful place to just chill and enjoy nature.
Very private,rustic, and peaceful.
I wanted a private getaway to just sit back and relax. This place was perfect and I was not aware of the Coosawattee River which is beautiful to see on the way in. If you get a chance to stay here it is a perfect area with the Amicalola Falls, Rock City, and multiple different site seeing along with attractions surrounding it. The property owners were very nice and the house had everything needed for my stay and then some. It was a surprise to see how the space here was utilized including a bunk bed area, movies, tv, and books for kids. I would suggest this to anyone who likes a peaceful get away with some nostalgia.
Peaceful cottage in the woods
My wife and dog and I enjoyed our stay very much. Comfortable space, tasteful furnishings, and beautiful surroundings. We live in Florida on the beach and were looking for cooler temps and some peace and quiet in the woods, and this fit the bill nicely.
Rustic, small, steep driveway, spartan
Small, almost too much furniture. No wine glasses, bring your own. Spider webs left in windows. A little musty smelling. I was literally just a place to stay at night for us and our son and dog. We spent all day every day in either downtown Blue Ridge or McCayseville. Downtowns are very dog friendly, so we literally only were at the cabin enough to sleep. There’s not much more than that that will occur at this little cabin. The tv has no satellite/cable. They do have loads of books and a DVD player for the tv. Nice fire pit. It seemed clean enough; but, we brought our own sheets to put on top to sleep on, as we don’t always trust cleanliness of all bnb places.
Very good. Would have liked to have had an iron but overall all other things were provided.
Things could have been a little cleaner. Dishes left in the dish washer that really were not clean. Could have used some dusting for cob webs. However it was a nice cozy cabin. Glad it was tucked away. Space was just right. Local church was friendly. Grace Baptist. Location is great!L We will return! Louisville, Ky
